The following is the headline article from the “Philosopher Times”: A newspaper based of the Capital of Legoria. Ledas. “Breaking: The King is Dead, Country in Uproar. Succession Unclear.”
“It is with heavy hearts that we here at the Philosopher Times must report the death of King Alderaus von Mysthen, blessed be his name, the Hero-King that led Legoria through the countless troubles, and through every one built his kingdom back up, stronger than before.
Though the news of his death reached our writers a week after his death. The famed “Blinding Light” event that took place in King’s Grove seems to nearly align with the date of his death. After unconfirmed reports of an attack on the King’s Personal Estate it has been confirmed that the late king was the target of an assassination by the hands of two as-of-yet-unnamed mages and the king’s very own Court Medea, Valotia Cateralia. The Church of The Medea has not issued a statement on this matter, however through sources close to the paper we have confirmed that this individual was a part of the Grand Order. For the readers who are unaware of the Medean Orders. The Grand Order is the third highest Order in the church ranks, second only to the High Order and the Absolute Order.
Following this report reaching the public. Alasander von Mysthen claimed the throne and declared himself ruler. This is in direct defiance of the Order of Succession set by the late king which dictated that the king’s youngest son, Etir von Mysthen, would take rule.
The daughter of the late king, Etherid vin Mysthen, has also agitated against her brother’s declaration of authority. Lady Etherid and Lord Etir have both taken residence in the city of Revier while they prepare protests to Alasander’s Rule.”

The following is the headline article from the “Philosopher Times”. Printed the day after: “King Alasander von Mysthen Declares war on Neighboring Halth.”
“Frightening news coming from the capital today as King Alasander has declared war on The Combined Union of Halth. Associated publications in Halth have not confirmed the official statement from the Local Parliament, however it can be assumed that the declaration was unforeseen.
Legoria and Halth have a history of conflict and war, however since the establishment of the Parliament in Halth at the suggestion of King Alderaus, the two countries have been at relative peace. They even cooperated on a joint venture to settle the Veser Islands off the western coast of King’s Grove.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
The intentions and Casus belli for the war have not been made available to the public. However experts claim that the cause is the suspicion that the assassination of the Late King Alderaus was planned and formulated by Royalist Parties in Halth whom protested the creation of a Parliament and Dissolution of royalty.
Further details will be shared at a later time when first hand accounts in Halth can be confirmed.

The following article is found in the “Artisan’s Report” from the King’s Grove region:“High Magister Ferdinand Delerous of King’s Grove Names First Arch Mage in 20 Years. Has King’s Grove entered a time of unrest?”
“On the evening of the 3rd, High Magister Ferdinand Delerous appointed an individual named “White” to the status of Arch Mage. Delerous declined to make a statement after the announcement, and the identity and location of “White” is currently unknown. This is a position that Delerous has previously declined to fill despite multiple opportunities. It is also unknown if this is related to the “Mending Mage” sighted in the region.
What this means is currently unclear, and several officials from across Legoria have issued statements on the matter. One includes Lady Etherid vin Mysthen, who states: “My Brother has made such a mockery of the peace our father fought for that a peaceful land like King’s Grove must now enlist its people, to bring such a peaceful man as Ferdinand to such a state that he feels the need to have an Arch Mage is disgraceful.”.
The news of such a promotion comes as a surprise to many who know the High Magister, as he is known to be very vocal of his distaste for the position of Arch Mage. Claiming that the position across the country is rife with nepotism and favoritism. Preferring instead to deal with matters directly. Though some have criticized him for this position on the basis that it cannot apply to less peaceful regions of the country. This sudden change in outlook might signal change in the leadership of King’s Grove.
Should this story development, it will be covered in future issues.”
