Alex was honestly amazed at the speed of the woman, in little under what seemed to be 15 minutes she was done. It was a marvel to see the orchestra that followed his request. Needles were her instruments and the cloth was her music sheet. A beautiful symphony of elegance and grace.
He wondered the damage he could do with skills like that.
Now armed with his new weapon, (his suave looks) , he marched forward. He brushed off his shoulders before setting out, the sound of velvet on leather was music to his ears. The woman even threw in a pair of leather gloves and a top hat for free, good business by his books. He felt pride knowing how good he looked, one could say his ego grew 10 times that day...
Again however Alex asked for directions before setting out. Learning from his earlier wasted efforts. Asking a lizard-man for directions he got his answer, the guy seemed to believe this person was important. This person seemed to have misconceptions on just how important this character was, because he even offered to escort Alex to a library himself.
Alex of course accepted the kind gesture. And with new aid he reached his long awaited destination at last. The library was situated on top of a hill, a nice fence surrounded the estate by 20m on all sides. Lovely trees adorned the open space, and a lovely park decorated the surrounding building. The library was two stories in height, it looked similar in appearance to the surrounding buildings. A large circular window did sit plainly on the second story though.
The gates were open, and when he got closer, his friend did a courtesy and left. Alex expected guards along the way judging by the large fence, but no one stopped him from approaching. In fact some people seemed to make way for him.
Alex was amazed a simple change of clothes could have this big an impact on public opinion. Little did he know however clothes of that quality were rare. While nobility did exist it was still difficult to shulk out that quantity of money on clothing. Alex seemed to misjudge just how much those two gold coins were worth.
One gold coin was worth 100 silver, one silver was worth 100 copper. He would soon learn he really had gotten scammed earlier at the inn, the price that he paid could've gotten him a moderately luxurious inn for a couple of nights let alone one in a shit hole.
The doors were grand, it almost made it seem like he was going to step into a castle. The doors were large double doors, they had bronze inlays, and they also had some runic symbols encrusted on the face. If this was the level of detail a door had on a library he wondered what an actual castle door looked like.
The doors easily gave way, a strange juxtaposition to the grand weight they seemed to have. For once Alex was actually shocked, the scene inside was gorgeous. Large prism-like crystals were floating where light was needed, books could be seen flying around. And the light from the large window above illuminated the room in a magical way. There were no staircases but large bookshelves that stretched the entirety of a wall's surface.
The scene was breathtaking. It took Alex a moment to remember his goal. There didn't seem to be a librarian, just people casually browsing around at their leisure. Alex followed suit, but this instantly led to his first roadblock... He didn't know how to look for the answers he sought. This was his first time setting foot in a library. Again, Alex never did praise his critical thinking...
So Alex did what he did best, fuck around, and find out ( sorry, not sorry ). The building had many aisles inside, unique categories for whatever someone may have sought. And Alex found an aisle that seemed to have what he needed 'General Trivia and General Knowledge'. Walking down the aisle he saw many unique titles such as '10 Ways to Hog-Tie a Woman', 'How to Get Forklift Certified', Alex stopped to reread that one in case he was seeing things, '99 Methods of Embalming your Aunt', it seemed he was...
Walking further down the aisle Alex saw titles he actually needed 'General Trivia of Halfbloom', 'Basics on Summoning', 'Fundamentals of Magic', and finally 'Colloquial Gods'. Next was Alex's second roadblock, securing the goods. He was not averse to stealing, but he didn't know the consequences of his actions. Finally using that big beautiful brain of his Alex remembered something he said he'd look into later. His inventory.
Alex knew what this word had meant and it seemed like just the thing he would need right now. Although this was his final roadblock, he had no idea how to use it. So he did some stupid tests, he first tried physically cramming the item into the 2x2cm box, secondly, he tried to squish the books down into the right size. But somehow on his fifth or so attempt, he guessed right. Turns out the trick was as simple as thinking 'Go into inventory', and to take something out he thought the reverse 'Take out of inventory'. He had to give credit to whatever bitch gave him this power. It was surely neat.

Finished up with his goal Alex proceeded to walk towards the door to leave. But he was soon stopped. There he saw the woman at the tavern earlier, the one with the beautiful eyes. He was enraptured with those eyes.
Alex figured he'd secure some more goods while he was at it. Walking up to the woman he stroke up a conversation, she was face deep in a book but glanced up to look at him.
"Excuse me miss, but would you mind enjoying a meal with me?"
The female seemed to be shocked at first, this gentleman was completely different from the one she recognized. But he was definitely the same person, she had a complete change of opinion towards him. Looking at his clothes it seemed he was of nobility, he probably had an accident or something and needed a day to contact his family. Her repressed attraction towards this man came out again.
The woman seemed to look down towards her wrist as if to check something, she soon replied.
"I think I can fit a meal into my schedule" She said this as a slight flushness of red appeared on her face.
Truly what were the odds that they would be at the same place at the same time. Alex counted his stars for he knew just how lucky he was today.
"Well if you don't mind madam I know just the location."
Alex did this as he gently held her hand and did a little bow. Alex definitely had charms, I mean how could he not.
This strategy seemed to work perfectly as the women seemed immensely embarrassed, only able to nod in agreement. Luckily it seemed culturally this world was the same, this could've gone real bad if holding the hand of a woman was socially unacceptable.
The woman soon sat her book down and got dragged along by Alex, who had a wonderful smile on his face as he led her along. She got lost in that smile, for the first time she felt true love. Her heart was beating out of her chest, but something kept telling her to not trust this man. A small gnawing at the back of her mind, but she gave into temptation, and let Satan into her heart...
Alex led her down the dark alleyway he previously killed 'Johnny?' and his crew. The poor girl seemed to not find anything wrong with this sudden change in scenery, she was just hooked to his face.
Suddenly Alex Vanished, literally, the woman instantly felt a chilling sensation crawl up her back. Her hair stood on ends as she looked around scared. Alex knew some tricks, this one was his classic movie scene trick. In which by using light for an illusion he could make it seem like he disappeared, and well, for how he will use it, you'll see...
The woman looked around scared, she felt fear in this area. She had friends who had gone missing in the ghettos, she naturally recognized her surroundings. She wanted to call out for the man but soon realized she didn't even know his name. How foolish.
She heard loud echoing footsteps behind her. And when she turned around they came from behind again. This was no mere trick, with Alex's speed this was possible, it was hard to pull off but the results spoke for themselves.
She felt horrified, they kept on getting closer but no matter what she did she couldn't track where they were coming from. One came from right next to her, she fell into a wet puddle on the side of the alley. She wanted to scream but couldn't mutter anything out. Suddenly she felt something run along her arm, followed by the sensation of a hand on her shoulder. She heard heavy breathing right next to her ear.
She didn't want to turn around to look, she couldn't, but she had to. Slowly craning her head around she saw those eyes, those damnable eyes! How could she ever fall for those eyes! Those weren't the eyes of a human, no they were the eyes of a beast, one looking at their next meal. She couldn't handle it anymore, she actually fell unconscious.
Alex loomed over the woman, a hard-on raging even harder. Alex was breathing really heavy, as he crouched down to her face he gently caressed her cheeks. He reached down to her shoulders, stopping to give them a gentle pat. Alex pulled out his favorite weapon as he pried open her eyelids with one hand. Almost forgetting this would awake her instantly, he stopped to sedate her with his venom, he also applied some to his knife. Now ready, he began his work.
( A graphic scene upcoming, if you find eye stuff gross you should skip this part, be warned )
He started with a small incision around the entirety of both eyelids. With some careful movement, he lifted up the layer of skin protecting the precious goods. But bones got in his way, Alex had to carefully crack the eye socket on both sides to pick up the bone fragments. But when he started he noticed some jerking in the eyes as they locked onto him. The eyes were fully exposed mind you, nothing but bone protecting them now.
She wanted to scream, the horror of watching as you could do nothing broke her. When that knife reared near her eyes she couldn't close her eyes, she couldn't look away. She tried cried to cry but nothing happened, she tried to scream, but nothing came out. She tried to run but nothing moved.
The pain, oh the pain, she instantly awoke with the pain. She felt her flesh being cut, her adrenaline fired, readying for nothing. She broke, imagining what she did to deserve this. The worst part was she couldn't hate the man, she loved him, even now as he was removing flesh she couldn't do anything but feel love. She wanted to hate him, she couldn't imagine hurting him.
She hated this, she started cussing in her mind. Swearing that if given the chance she would do anything just to end the agony. But it fell on deaf ears.
Alex, of course, marked her and felt what she was going through, he reveled in this but had to be careful for this was a tricky part. He finally cracked the bones in such a way he could easily pick them up to have easy access to the eyes ( He removed the lower part of the eyelid leaving a lot more room to work ).
The girl wished he messed up, but he was flawless, ensuring no damage to the eyes. She felt actual horror as she could see further than ever before. She actually threw up when she saw her own bones. She started choking, wishing for it to kill her.
But Alex wouldn't allow it, he tilted her on her side and let her get it out, careful not to let the eyes fall out of their unprotected socket.
Her eyes started to burn, she couldn't blink, she could do nothing.
Alex now had to lift up the eyes and sever the nerves. Alex grabbed an eye. She fell unconscious as she felt nothing but saw her eye being picked up, finally she could at least forget for a moment the horror.
Alex cut off the nerves, and she felt nothing. She couldn't not anymore.
Alex secured himself two new trophies, which he put in his inventory. Each item took one slot, of which he only had 10 total. 6 were now taken up.
Alex looked down to the now eyeless body. He started kicking the shit out of her. He actually felt mad she was keeping these beauties all to herself.
She felt everything, but could do nothing, but beg, and pray, for it to end.
