He’s been jogging for awhile now, and he’s encountered many goblins. Most were alone but he found a few in groups of two and three. The ones by themselves weren't worth mentioning just one mana arrow to the head and the fight was over.
The others were a bit more difficult but not by much. As he kept his distance they were helpless against him and even if they did manage to get close just enhancing himself with stamina was enough to deal with them he didn't even have to use mana strike.
It continued this way for a while, but as he turned a corner he was surprised to see that it was in pure darkness. He quickly cast mana light and took a closer look. He saw that the glowing stones were missing, and their wear scratches all around the socket like someone went at it with a knife.
“The goblins?” That was the only thing that came to mind but why would they collect glowing stones? ‘Well let's find out.’ He got going. It was a little scarier with only the glow of his mana light, but his meditation also kept his fear in check so he was fine.
As he jogged down the corridors, he noticed that they started getting wider and wider and less streamlined. Eventually it looked like he was in more of a cave rather than a man made corridor and the sockets for the glowing stones were completely gone at this point.
And as he went through this cave he started seeing slimes again and in groups this time. They didn't seem to be friends though it was a constant brawl where the bigger ate the smaller. Each one they consumed the bigger they got.
One of them was particularly big. ‘I wonder what level it is.’ As soon as he had that thought his eyes widened and he facepalmed. ‘Analyze, identify, appraisal whatever you want to call it, it's the most basic of the basics, how the hell did I forget!?’
He shook his head at his stupidity then got a safer distance from the slimes. They weren't much of a threat to him but he knew better than to be arrogant. If he got into the mindset of looking down on monsters it would definitely get him killed.
Once he was a good distance away he sat down and started closely looking at his dagger and analyzed it. Every spot of rust, every chip in the blade, the leather wrap that was falling apart. After looking at the dagger for 10 minutes he heard the sound he was waiting for.

‘Less info than I was expecting but it makes sense. hp isn't a thing so it's not like it could have an attack rating or something. but I'm sure if I had something that was enchanted it would show up.’ He was sure enchanting must be a thing and he was almost certain he knew how to do it. He took out what he guessed was a mana core from his pocket and used analyze.
Common: Mana core 100%: Durability 100%.

He smiled as his knowledge proved correct. ‘I'm sure the 100 percent is the amount of mana in the core.’ He was about to see if he could absorb the mana into his reserves but he stopped himself. ‘If my theory about mana coming from the soul is correct, I doubt trying to stuff myself with foreign mana would be healthy.’
Instead he tried to manipulate the mana in the core, he felt himself mentally latch on to the mana even easier than his own mana it felt like he was grabbing a switch, But as he tried actually moving the mana, it proved to be way different.
He attempted to move it out of the core and noticed straight away that it was far harder to control than his own mana but with some effort he still managed to do it. ‘So connecting to it is easier than manipulating it weird.’
A few strands of mana escaped from the core, but as soon as it left its confines he lost all the control he had on it. ‘So I can't use them as an alternate source of mana.’ next he wanted to see how well it carried intent
He once again connected to it and this time he tried to infuse the intent of heaviness but not just that, he wanted whatever the mana touched to be infused with heaviness. He felt immediately that it was far harder than using his mana and even with all his wisdom. He knew If he didn't have his title it would have been impossible.
The mana was sloppy with it being so difficult it was hard to keep a clear picture on what he wanted but it was good enough to work.

Imbue Heaviness
As he was about to move on to the next step he saw very small strands of mana enter the core from his surroundings. ‘Ambient mana? If my soul theory is right, how can that be a thing?’ He shook his head ‘Something to think about another time.’
He’s sense mana skill leveled twice as he focused on the tiny strands. He saw that as the strands entered the core they were being automatically changed to heaviness. He looked closer and he saw that the ambient mana was being corrupted as soon as it entered the core. He used analyze again and saw the mana was back to 100%.
‘So the enchantment will maintain itself as long as there's ambient mana around.’ The core didn't feel any heavier his hand but assumed he had to let the mana escape first. He looked around and found a decent sized rock.
He filled his finger with stamina and started carving out a hole. Once it was the right size he wedged the mana core into it then mentally willed it to activate. He saw the in the core mana pulse and start to change. ‘What's happening?’ When it was finished he was greeted with a bunch of notifications.

He laughed “My first D rank skill huh.” He took a look at his title and saw that it didn't improve to the point that the rarity increased but he could definitely feel that his mana was more potent ‘That confirms that i still count as a F rank for when it comes to titles.’
He then took a look at his enchantment.
Uncommon: Rock of Heaviness 96% : Durability 100%
Uses stored mana to increase the Heaviness of the rock.
The mana in the enchantment was still a bit sloppy but it was a lot better now and a lot closer to what he was going for. ’So that pulse was the “improves all finished enchantments” so it functions as a magic autocorrect good to know.’ He tried to pick up the rock and it was far heavier now. It felt like he was holding a chunk of steel instead of a rock.
The mana core was draining about 2 percent every half a second. He saw that the enchantment barely took to the rock and most of the mana was just bouncing off of it.
‘A rock probably isn't the best conductor of mana. If i could get my hands on a magical metal mithral or something along those lines i'm sure it would be far different.
He tried to adjust the output and found it was very easy to. He changed it to match the amount of ambient mana it was bringing in so he could keep it on permanently ‘Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.’ With the rock being such a crap conductor it barely increased the weight. He deactivated the enchantment then pried out the mana stone from the rock. He held it up and chuckled. “So much for not getting distracted.”
