For Liam it felt like there was really only one choice. Even though he knew it was what the System wanted, the benefits of starting as a commander were just too appealing. Especially as among the Humans he was probably one of the best at fighting. His ten years as a Staff Sergeant leading a special intelligence squad was proof he easily was among the top five percent when it came to close quarters combat and marksmanship, among many other things, his five years of training saw to that. As most of the other humans were criminals Liam couldn't see himself having any problems with most of them. But he didn't underestimate them, because humans are unpredictable.

"System I choose to start as a commander." Liam announced aloud.

Next thing Liam knew the perpetual darkness he had been stuck in was gone, replaced with an arena that looked very similar to a recreation of an ancient amphitheatre he saw as a kid. Suddenly Liam realised he was not a lone, there was other humans here and every second more would appear.

After a while Liam saw someone he knew, Oscar the Sergeant of his squad. Liam began to make a beeline towards him, along the way he could see some of his other squad mates who were also heading towards the centre of the arena where Oscar was currently standing.

A couple of minutes later everyone had gathered in the centre. Everyone was here except for Harry. They all began sharing and comparing the experiences so far when they were all interrupted by a huge glowing message in the centre of the arena.

 There is currently 42 humans in the Arena.

In exactly 5 minutes you will all participate in a series of 2 v 2 duels until only 10 humans remain.

The rules for each round will be shown at the start.

 "Liam what do we do if we come up against each other?" asked Rory on behalf of the group.

"I don’t know what the rules are, but try surrendering to one of the others. If that doesn’t work just knock each other out. If neither of these are allowed then I really don’t know." Liam told the rest of the group in a concerned manner.

"Also as long as it’s not disallowed feel free to kill any of the other humans. Because remember all of them are guilty of murder or worse and the more of them gone, the higher our chances are of surviving. We could end up getting a reward for it as well." Oscar inputted into the conversation.

The rules are as listed below:

1. The other duo must be defeated within 10 minutes or everyone dies.

2. All fights are being streamed so if you perform especially well you will increase your following but may also gain additional rewards.

3. There is no other rules, all methods of fighting are acceptable.
