Sol left Elora’s place in the early hours of the morning, he took a train back to his house. As he walked in, the place was a mess, there were bottles of wine all around the lounge floor and the room stunk of takeout. He walked in further to see Summer and June crawled up on the couch together, they were hugging and clearly had a heart to heart the night previous.
He cleaned up and began cooking breakfast for them, the smell of eggs and bacon would wake them up soon.
June stumbled in first holding her head, her hair was a mess and she still had the bottom of her dress on with a jumper over the top. She sat down at the table and let her head hit the cold glass.
“How was your night with Mr. Demy?” Sol asked.
“It was good but he didn’t seem interested in me. Everytime I got close to him he moved away,” she whined.
“I’m sure he likes you,” Sol said, “he’s an awkward guy so just give him some time.”
Summer stumbled in a few minutes later just as the eggs and bacon were ready. She looked in a worse state than June.
“Good night?” Sol asked.
“Amazi-” She rushed over to the bin and threw up. She wiped her mouth and sat down at the table and pressed her head like June against the cold table.
“Did you guys get home alright?” Sol asked as he served them breakfast.
“I took a cob,” Summer said with a weak show of her hand.
“Mr Demy dropped me off at home, he stopped following me a few streets away which didn’t make any sense.” June said.
Sol smiled without them seeing, he appreciated the privacy Sharp had given him. His view on June liking Sharp had changed, perhaps it was the sex with Elora or the dwarf in the bar but he just felt better about it.
Sol’s phone buzzed and he pulled it out to check.
“You guys recover today, I need to go to work.” Sol said.
“Again? You were just away for two days.” June stated.
“Work’s work,” Sol remarked, “If you guys need anything just order it.”
Both of his sisters gave him a thumbs up with their heads still on the table, the food not touched.
He pulled his phone out as he entered his bathroom.
‘Text from Fodder Group 1141
Tower- We just got accepted to the Raptor rank! I need you all to come in at 8pm today. Sorry it’s sudden but we might have a new mission in the following days. I couldn’t get you the week off like Mercy had promised but we got asked for specifically a moment ago. Also, Elora just released the video on her platform and she will be going on State News to answer questions later tonight. The Unwanted will now be known as official by the population and we will be at the front of it.
P.S Since we are now Raptor rank we need a name for the group.
Spike- I vote Big Balled Brawlers
Spike has started a vote.
4 No | 1 Yes
Spike- Even Mute really?
This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.
Sharp- The Orphaned Aristocrates
Tower- How about Immortals, Sol’s the famous one here.
Immortal- You’re the leader here Tower, if anything it should be about you.
Sharp- I think this one beats all. The Ill-Favoured Five.
Spike- You got a point but I still think Big Balled Brawlers is still the best.
Immortal- Kinda sexist Spike, Mute doesn’t have balls. And I do think Sharp's is the best.
Sharp has started a vote
4 Yes | 1 No
Spike- She might have balls, has anyone checked? Kinda sexist if you’re assuming whether someone has balls or not.
Mute- GIF {FUCK YOU}
Tower- That’s settled then, the Ill-Favoured Five it is. Everyone get there for 7:30 and Spike please wear your uniform correctly. Your hair is fine, just don’t wear that damned choker.’
Sol smiled as he switched off his phone and placed it on the side. He was getting promoted to a Raptor rank after all the years of hard work. A second text message came through and he opened it to see a link sent from the Unwanted. It was footage from the dungeon.
He clicked on the link and saw himself stretching before luring all the undead monsters in the mine. Almost everything around him was blurred, with Spike’s music in the background it looked like an awesome scene. Then when Elora had killed them it showed Sol fully naked in the center. They had covered up his tallies and tattoo but they left his dick just hanging out in the open with no blur.
“Really?” He questioned.
He texted the organisation why they decided to leave his dick not blurred but he got no response. He was about to get into the shower but realised he still had Elora’s number on his arm.
He hesitated whether to put it into his phone, it’s not like he didn’t like her, it was that he didn’t want a relationship. Additionally, she could help him if he was ever in trouble. In the end, he added her into his contacts but didn’t message her.
After he had a shower he got dressed in all black clothes and locked his bedroom door. He let his magic flow into a bookshelf and it opened out into the basement. He turned the light on and it showed sprawling photos of Henry Murdoch on the walls.
He had gotten some more information a few days ago from Mercy, the man who had started a crystal manufacturing business. The compound in the south east was used to create the crystals then sell them overseas for huge profit. They were used in almost everything from daily appliances to weapons. Sol was still not strong enough to even touch Henry but keeping tabs on him made him feel better about it.
He double checked all his information then headed back up, he closed the bookshelf door and then walked out into the lounge where Summer and June were watching a video on their phones.
“What are you guys watching?” Sol asked.
“Elora Evergrand just released a mission she did with the Unwanted,” June said.
“And the famous one called Immortal is in it, hold on- it’s getting to the good bit.” Summer said.
‘Oh no.’ was all that Sol could think.
“Check out the size of that penis!” Summer exclaimed at the top of her voice.
Sol went back in his room to contemplate his entire life for a moment, if he ever found out who released the video like that he would be sure to kill them. He walked back into the lounge and kissed his sisters on the head.
Sol didn’t need to be at base for over 12 hours but he needed to understand the class he was given. He decided to walk to the old convenience store and called Sharp on his way there.
“Sol, I promis-”
“Yeah, she told me. I’m not really calling because of that but do you like my sister?” Sol asked, going off topic.
He could literally hear Sharp gulp on the other side, “Well she is a fine woman, smart and attractive but she is your sister and I have no ulterior motives.” Sharp said.
“Well she told me she likes you. I shouldn’t even be saying this but I’d prefer her to be with you than anyone else. But not right now you understand? And you will take her out on at least 10 dates before touching her.” Sol threatened.
Sol literally heard Sharp exhale, “Thank you for being so honest Sol and yes I would like to continue seeing her. June is a very, very smart woman. Did you know she has an extremely high affinity for pure mana? She could be a rune writer if she really tried.”
“I know but I don’t want her getting involved with any sort of magic,” Sol said, “She has only one life and I don’t want her to become an adventurer. I was actually calling to see whether you’re available to help me. You know what I told you yesterday about the dimension? I received a class.”
“You didn’t have a class before?” Sharp asked.
“No, I told the group I suffer from affinitous remember?” Sol questioned.
“Well yes but that does not mean you cannot receive a class. But anyway carry on.”
“I need your help, I can meet you at base in an hour in the training section. I’ll pay you for your troubles.” Sol said.
“Let me run some tests on you and we will call it even. It’s not every day you meet a Hearthren.”
“Deal.” Sol said and ended the call. Sol had completely forgotten about becoming a different race. He still looked and acted human, his eyes were different but that was about it.
