Swords clashed... Light shone brightly across the horizon... Demons marched across the land, Wyverns, dragons, giants, liches and much more. The ferocious monsters held a deep, ancestral mark among this corrupted world. After the great war, this involved every monster race known to this world clashed, but the gods gathered together and made each race sign a pact to not involve the humans and their fragile kingdoms. They all had agreed and in return, each major race received one wish. The liches wished for boundless knowledge, and in doing so were granted a pure golden library filled with every bit of knowledge known to this world. The Giants wanted a larger fertility rate because their race was going extinct from the lack of children. The dragons? What did they want... Well, that's simple really, peace.
This wish was Acknowledged by the gods so the gods removed a limiter from the dragons that would allow them to grow endlessly powerful so long as they trained, there was no limit that their bodies could handle, there was no discrimination between any of them besides effort. The dragons became guardians of this world but many became corrupted by this power and wanted more much, much more. Destruction began to spread by these new self-proclaimed gods. The gods had enough of these foolish creatures and began to spread a disease that targeted the dragon's soul erasing it completely after the span of a few months the dragon population decreased by the fourths of its original count.
after a few years, the disease began to fade leaving nothing but a few hidden families. The gods knew about the remaining families but chose to let them live and to correct their ancestor's mistakes and maybe one day undo the wrongs...
Lights shone brightly across the horizon, sending a striking light through the cave waking my heavy eyes from their long slumber. "Waaaah" Letting out a large yawn I rubbed my eyes pushing myself to an upright sitting position to survey the surroundings. Noticing the still slumbering elf... turning bright red from the contact of the light. "What is this?" Getting up I slowly walk to her slumbering body I go to pick her body up from the ground but a strange feeling came from her. An icy cold aura mixed with burning flesh and a sickened expression. I quickly move her to a more shaded part of the cave which quickly corrected her mysterious fatigue. "Odd" was the only word that floated through my mind for the next few minutes
Straightening my back I stretch my arms and let my bones crack. Whether how inconvenient this body is, it has some extravagant unnecessary feelings. Walking outside the cave the sun shined brightly across the sky roasting the ground in front of me, today was an exceedingly hot day. After some walking around to survey the area I picked up a few berries from the bushes around the area picking all the ones that seemed like they would be fine, though, in all honesty, I had no idea if they were or weren't. After shrugging a bit and thinking what the worst could happen was probably a stomach ache I brought the berries back to the cave hoping they would satisfy the young girl's palet. "What was her name again? Oh, yea it's Saphire! No matter, oh look there's the cave."
Stepping into the entrance of the cave my eyes readjusted to the change of lighting and instantly saw the young girl biting on the neck of a dead fox sucking it dry of its blood. "What the hell" is all that ran through my mind for the next few minutes... Coming back to my senses I stepped further into the cave and rose my voice a tad bit to Saphire that was acting strangely. "Saphire is that you, are you okay?" The Elf girl was completely unphased by the man standing ten feet in front of her and kept enjoying her bloody meal. Stepping forward some more the male placed his masculine hand on her shoulder in an attempt to get her attention. Much to his surprise, her eyes faded back to a bright color from a dimmed light.

After looking around the area the female elf finally saw the corpse of the small fox in her mouth. A shimmer glistened from her eyes as the foxes cold dead body fell from her lips and landed on the ground. Once the body hit the ground Saphire couldn't hold her tears any longer and a stream of blood began to flow from her eyes. She began to sob and then she began to speak, to the man standing beside her. "Why... Why was I born like this, as an unawakened vampire I can't resist the blood of anything I see my stomach will begin to rumble. When I woke up I saw the poor helpless creature limping into the cave bleeding from its paw, I tried resisting I tried helping it but it was too late I had already lost myself and began drinking its blood... I'm a monster!" Moving to her side he sat down placed his hands on her face and wiped the blood streaming from her eyes.
"Then tell me, what does that make me? You saw what I was yesterday, A monstrosity, a horrid creature that is one with nature. I am a being of power I am well aware of that, I've heard stories from my family. I'm well aware of what my race has done to the rest. So tell me what does that make me? If you have the nerve to call yourself a monster for sating your hunger would that make me an incarnation of pure evil? Maybe for being a dragon, I am evil but am I evil? That is what I wonder. Let me tell you what I think, I think we all are just fates pawns, little pieces that are of a chess board, but instead of being controlled by the king we strive to make ourselves a king. Us tiny pawns wish to be free of fates grasp and be the ones to make the next move, not fate. Now here's what I want you to do, I want to stand up burry this fox and think of every way possible to resist your shackles and not be held down. Don't let some damn bloodline hold you back."
Finishing his last words he stood up walked over to the side of the cave placed the berries to the side laid himself down and took himself a small nap not giving a chance for Saphire to respond. What did she do? Well, she did exactly as what he told her. After a few hours or so of sleeping it had already become night. Opening his eyes he noticed something was off Saphire was gone. One thing seemed out of place which was a piece of parchment paper lying on top of the berries he had picked earlier, picking up the piece of parchment paper he began to read. "I Saphire owe my life to you, saving me from the bandits and saving me from myself I hope one day I can repay you. As you are reading this I am heading towards the capital of Greenvale kingdom and I must leave during the night which is but a few moments off so I will make this brief. I grant this name to you if you so choose to accept it, Noah Bloodhex... I gave it a great deal of thought and if you were to walk around as nameless it would draw some attention so I do hope you can accept. Once again thank you... You are my hero ~Saphire."
"Wow, I never thought I would gain myself a name just like that, though it sounds weird to say off the tongue I kind of like it! Well, I guess I should head off myself. Time to head further north!"
