A NECESSARY EVIL
The term necessary evil was repeated throughout colonial times, and was even a philosophy adopted by John Locke. The government exist to help people but as a sacrifice it will take a small percentage of their freedom. So, therefore, in that way, the government is an evil but a small one. A necessary evil. It is with those philosophies the founding fathers acted and utilized in their thoughts to bring forth a revolution.
Coincidentally, a revolution was beginning to sweep through this city like a madness of untold proportion.
The city welcomed another dangerous morning. The cops finished their reports from the young lady. All information and detailed she gave were carefully written down. The cops questioned her at the police station, applying enough pressure to make sure she told the truth. All the evidence pointed to the third party, the unknown man that murdered those three rapist.
When the police station posted the picture of those individuals to the general public, they received multiple calls from other women in the city that were raped by those men and were afraid to confide to anyone. Over the next couple of days, the police station was busy filling in reports from these women. About fifteen women were raped and violated by those men. But the information the women gave said, it wasn’t only those three. There were supposedly two more individuals unaccounted for.
The police station was preoccupied with the search for those other two individual and for the mysterious man. The police force was divided in opinion. Some thought the mysterious man did what was necessary at the time, stopping those three men from raping a woman, but some of the other police officers thought, the mysterious man overdid it by a lot. Did the mysterious man had to slit their throats? Was it necessary to go that far?
A chill passed by the police officers debating the recent murders. Dead bodies were showing up every day now. It has become the norm in our little city. Debating about the dead has now become a tradition at the station. No police officer would disagree that the mysterious man did them a favor, but none would admit that even if they agreed with what the unknown man did. They would not let their true opinions leave further than their thoughts. Morning reports of murders were being reported every day. The station created its own task force that dealt with dead bodies, and they had their own phone service. The citizens no longer needed to call the emergency number when they found a dead body but another hotline.
A bank robbery was reported at the station on a fateful Saturday morning at eleven o’clock sharp. Bank robberies have become common in the city. To work in a bank is to live on the edge of life and death. Banks that were still open and functioning were accepting new hires but not many would apply. No one wanted to live a life when individuals would come and rob you and might even hurt you. The bank robbery that have become a common sight in this city was going to take a very unusual turn on that particular morning.
The bank robbery would bring forth a change that will raise questions in the mind of many. The station sent their usual team to the bank to stop the robbers from getting away. The bank robbers were fairly sophisticated and experience. They had all the tools they needed to commit the felony. They were well-prepared and knew the lay-out of the bank. They knew exactly what they had to do, and they made sure they were quick. At first, the bank robbers came in the bank like anyone else, they wore wigs and had their make-up done by a professional and their facial would not be recognized by the surveillance cameras. They were seven of them. Each carried a typical bag that would pass unnoticed.
Two went in the line to talk with the clerk, the others went to their already-discussed locations. One of them, an old man of about fifty-years, stayed near the back in order to secure their exit. Of course, their exit strategy was well-planned too. One of them was left in the car to make sure everything was going smoothly. As soon as the two bank robbers in the waiting line reach the clerk, their plan was put in motion.
The bank robbers knew what their charges would be if they got caught. They tried to lessen the charges as much as possible. They planned to take the money, maybe shoot a couple practice shots at the walls and roof and near some of the bank’s customers to scare them a little. But they were under no circumstances to kill any customers in the bank. It was all part of their plan if they got caught, to be able to walk and not go to prison. They had a judge they were friends with that would take care of everything, as well as a greedy defense attorney.
The bank robbers were prepared for the worst case scenario. That they would get caught. But they just didn’t realize, in that particular morning, that getting caught by the police would be similar to winning the lottery compared to what was going to happened to them. They opened their bags and took out their weapons. The bank robbers took the money from the bank without killing or hurting anyone. They put the money in their van and sped away. Their van had a black color. The police were on their trail. The criminals kept speeding and speeding, doing their best to escape the polices’ clutches.

A man wearing all white appeared in the air. He was wearing a white sweater, white gloves, white jeans, white sneakers, and had long gray hair that made him seem like a saint or an angel even. He had a gray plastic covering his face. He also carried a long thin metal pole with a pointed head. He lifted the pole up, pointed it at the direction of the robbers’ car, and threw it with such strength and speed, it stroked the car down right in the middle.
A man that was sitting in the middle part of the van screamed as the metal pole entered his right knee. The police cars as well as the armed robber’s van stopped. A shock and chill passed through all the police officers at the field. Even the criminals in the van were not moving an inch as they contemplate what to do next. The police officers in their cars, after a moment, got back in control and started to voice their different opinions.
Using the radio-transmissions, the police officers were all discussing what to do in this scenario. One of the police officers, went out of his car and yelled to the mysterious man to come down. The mysterious man did not respond but went to the robbers’ car. He ripped the car’s roof off, and murdered the robbers in cold blood. He flew back in the air and disappeared in the distance.
The robbers didn’t even have time to beg for their life. One moment they were driving as fast as they could and was about to escape the police and make it, then suddenly, a pole stroked their van down right in the middle of the van. Not only that, the pole pierced the right knee of one of the criminals. He screamed, and as one of the other criminals in the back tries to stop the bleeding and find whatever antibiotics they carried just in case, a screeching sound could be heard. The screeching sound was the roof being forced out of the van. None of the robbers understood what was happening, therefore, none of them grabbed their guns to shoot.
They were all looking up at their roof being forced open as if it was a scene from a movie. Only it was in real life for them. The roof opened, and an unknown individual not associate with either the police or the criminals was standing there motionless in the air. With their confusion at its peak, the criminals died, before they could realize what was happening.
When the police officers arrived at the site of the robbers’ car, they found all seven of them dead, with their throats slit. One of the robbers had his head ripped out from his neck. Blood was everywhere in the car. Blood gushed out, a head was a couple of centimeters away from its body, but no sign of any weapon used beside the metal pole. Some police officers could not handle the dead bodies and threw up. It was a harsh sight. Even true veteran police officers were in for surprised when they saw those dead bodies. The forensic team came in and did their work. No fingerprint was found from the metal pole. Those police officers that were silently agreeing with the mysterious man when he stopped the young lady from getting rape were having doubts about the man’s justice.
A flying man. That is what the cops reported they saw on their report. They couldn’t believe it either. Only one person remained calm at that time and went out of the car to order the flying man to come down. The cops were bewildered with questions. How can an individual fly in the sky? How can the individual kill off the bank robbers in just a moment and with no weapon as well?
When individuals came to ask questions about the bank robbers, all the police could say was it was still under investigation and no comment will be said at this time. But a video of the flying man was captured by someone that saw the event with the bank robbers. The video went viral online. Views and discussion became heated as to what the flying man was and what his mission was. Opinions differed from person to person. Some individuals believed he came to help this city get better, others argued he was a murderer like most people in this rotten city, others said, they would continue to observe before deciding.
In just one day since his appearance to the public, the unknown man became a hot topic of gossip and heated discussions. The group of individuals that believed he was here to save this city created blogs about him. They were all ready to write about him and his legend of how he will take down criminals left and right. Even though those very individuals knew killing people was a crime, they could not contain the excitement in their heart. They wanted to be able to walk down the street at night without worrying about getting stabbed. They wanted something to believe in, they wanted to gain hope again.
Within those very individuals, some were religious and thought it was God that answered their prayers. They thought God finally received their words and decided to help them even if it meant to commit murder. Some individuals in the opposition side that were religious thought the unknown individual could be a demon or some sort of evil alien. One thing can be said about all the speculations; All of it wasn’t far from the truth. Be it man or women, God’s messenger or the Devil’s advocate, here was one unknown individual that made us questioned everything about society and about ourselves.
