The Quest board is very big. It looks like it was grown out of the very floor, being made out of the same kind of wood. Now that I look around, everything here is made out of the same type of wood. I don't pay it too much attention and focus on the board.
It's long, covering the entire opposite side of the guild as the receptionists. Oh hey, my [Clone] found pants! Very clean pants too. He also found a shirt, though the shirt is in much worse condition compared to the pants.
What was I thinking about? Oh right the Quest board. It seems to be separated into different level ranges. I'm gonna go to the 0-10 range. I look up at the Quest board and begin reading a few of them. Escort Quest, gathering Quest, cleaning Quest, aha! Kill and retrieve 10 slime cores. We had slimes around here?
I look at the level requirement. [Recommended party of 10+ level 10+] Yeah no. Goblin extermination Quest? [Track down and kill a nest of 20+ goblins]. And look! The level requirement is 2! Perfect.
I reach up and grab the Goblin extermination Quest. I only barely reach it. I pull out my soul book and slot the page right in. Okay, I have information, I have clothes, I have a Quest, let's do this!
Confident, I stroll out and head towards the entrance. On the way I test something I've been wondering about. Can I access my [Soul Book] through my [Clone]?
Yes I can!
Using my clone, I inspect the quest.
Goblins have been spotted around a village off to the side of the eastern road. Their estimated numbers are above 20, likely no more than 30. Reward is 5 iron pennies. Map:
Then it shows me a map with directions on how to get to the village. Two routes show up, one for each of me. I follow them, eventually ending up back at the gate. I join the line of people leaving, and, after a glance from the guards, I'm out! Both of me.
We follow the map down the dirt road until it get's dark, and my main body starts to fall asleep. Instead of setting up camp or something sensible, I hop on the back of my clone to be carried the rest of the way.
Nothing attacks us as we walk, though I can feel eyes on me. We reach the village just as I'm waking up, before the sun comes up. I wait until people start walking around before entering, and heading towards the nearest person I see.
"Hello miss, could you tell me where the goblins were sighted?" I was already scouting around the edges of the village with my [Clone], but if I had a general location to scout it would go faster.
This seems to catch her off guard, and she doesn't answer my question. Oh hey, I found a goblin hiding in the bushes! Just gotta get behind it and-
"Snap" Why was that so loud?
The blonde haired lady jumps, before turning towards where the sound came from.
"Don't worry, that was just my twin. He was scouting around and he must've found something."
"A GOBLIN! DON'T WORRY I KILLED IT" I shout back. Man it's weird talking to myself over long distances.
The woman is now panicking and hyperventilating. I drop the body and continue looking for goblins. I know there's some here, I felt my skill hide my shout from them.
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
"The leader is this way, follow me." The woman says before sprinting off in the direction of one of the bigger houses. I follow after her. Before we reach it I find another goblin, and this time I kill it a lot quieter. I still snap it's neck, but this time more violently, twisting it all the way around. This triggers something, and suddenly I have 36 more minds. 18 in my [Clone] and 18 in my main body.
No pain. Only boredom.
I Follow her into the house, and she calls out to someone. In the forest I pull out my [Soul Book] to see how many clones I can produce, because having 18 extra minds just sitting in the back of your head not doing anything get's boring real quick.

As soon as I open the book my skin ripples, on both me and my [Clone]. Thankfully, neither the leader nor the woman were paying much attention to me so they didn't notice. My muscles bulged and got faster, my cells toughened, and I felt my brain speed up as it processed all the new information coming in from everywhere.
So many new scents, so many new textures! And so much boredom. I only needed one mind to listen to what they were saying, something about how they don't actually know where the goblins are coming from, nor do they know why such a small child came. Nothing important.
What is important is if I can create [Clone]'s with my [Clone]'s. After a few seconds of retching, the answer is yes! The new [Clone] takes 4 minds with him, two from both of my other body's.
Then both my new and old [Clone] barf up new clones, and both of these take 5 minds! I use all four of my [Clone]'s to make new ones, resulting in eight total [Clone]'s. Two have 5 minds, while the rest (including main body) have 4! I use all 8 of my [Clone]'s to scout now. I'm going to kill all of the goblins!
"Why are you smiling like that?" I'm snapped back to attention by a question. Until now, most of the conversation was between the leader and these other two villagers that came in here at some point. The one who asked was the leader, and he's looking at me strangely. Almost like he's afraid.
I wipe the evil grin off my face.
"No reason. Can I go? There are goblins that need killing." He nods, while the blonde woman who led me here does a double take. As I leave the house I hear her mutter under her breath.
"I swear he wasn't that tall a moment ago..."
I make my way into the forest, fanning out in a half-circle using my clones. There were 3 goblins total watching the village, and I caught another as it was leaving to report to it's den. Send most of my clones in that general direction, but keep my main body and the older clones near the village. They are the only ones with clothes after all.
I foresee clothing being a reoccurring problem until I can do something about it.
Also, if this nest could afford to keep 4+ goblins watching the village at all times, I'm pretty sure the den is a lot larger than 30. And that means I'll probably level up more. Wait, I had free points I never assigned!
I pull out my [Soul Book] and direct 1 into strength, 3 into agility, 10 into constitution, 4 into willpower, 8 into Intelligence, and 9 into awareness.
4 of my furthest [Clone]'s spew out new ones, and now half my clones have 3 minds, and the other half has 4. 49 minds!
I begin to laugh. It starts out low, then descends into a full on cackle. By the time I'm done laughing my mouth is stretched wide in a grin that would send most monsters running for the hills.
I know how one wages war. And I also know what three of the biggest obstacles in waging war are. Getting soldiers, feeding those soldiers, and communications. My abilities bypass all of these problems. Instant communication through thoughts, endless amounts of soldiers, and no food requirement.
I'm gonna make the entire world fear my name. All I have to do is lay low until there are to many of me to stop. Once that happens;
there will be no mercy.
