Chapter 2: Exploring Camelot
For three hours, Alexander was dragged all over the castle called Camelot by his new ‘friend’ .
Allana was as energetic as she was boisterous and declared what seemed to be every thought that went through her head. However, underneath all this rambunctious energy, the boy could tell she was a very nice person. Feeding on her energy, Alexander soon became lost in the frenzy as a new side of him was revealed. In harmonious enthusiasm, they ran amok, laughing and playing happily.
They spotted a few other Players by their default outfits, but aside from these, they were indistinguishable from the NPC, who were going about their daily lives happily. These people did seem excited but were far more focused on the game itself and eyed the galavanting duo with scorn.
Alexander and Allana had barely managed to explore a tenth of the city when a window appeared in front of the boy whose face was red from exertion:

The boy didn't even need a message as he felt like he was going to start taking damage soon. Unable to go on, he gasped out, “I'm at my limit. I need a breather.”
Allana pouted at this, though she noticed a guardian nearby and smiled as she pointed, “Fine, we can rest over there.”
Alexander managed to stagger over to a bench, where he collapsed, his body feeling sweaty. Looking up at his irritated friend, he stated, “Thanks.”
The girl put her hand on her hips and snapped, “Don't, ‘Thanks’ me. You're an idiot for choosing such a dumb race.”
Growing defensive, the boy blurted, “Elves aren't dumb.”
Allana rolled her eyes and retorted, “Fine, you might get the highest base mana of any race, but your lack of physical endurance makes you useless.” Gesturing, she added, “Look, you were just running around the city and have already used up all your strength.”
Alexander smiled at this and responded, “Yeah, but they're really good at magic.”
Almost pulling her hair out, the girl blurted, “So what, a third of the initial races are above average at magic. The elves might be the best, but without dexterity, you can't go hunting.”
The boy shrugged and responded, “I don't really like fighting. I was thinking I could try and be an enchanter or something.”
Her rage boiling over, the girl cried, “This is a fighting-based game. You kill the bad guys and level up to fight cooler bad guys. What else are you going to do? Sit around and admire the scenery.”
Alexander smiled and responded, teasing, “That doesn't sound too bad.”

Allana attacked the boy at this point, strangling him while blurting, “Marcus Ludus didn't make Eden for people to sightsee.”
The two tossed till they fell off the bench and onto the floor, at which point they both broke into laughter. The boy was still tired but got out, “You dealt me 5 points of damage. I could have died.”
The girl's purple eyes flashed as she snapped, “That's what I'm saying. You're so weak I can't even beat you up properly.”
They both laughed at this till Alexander recovered and stated, “Hey, since we're rating, let's use our Mystery Boxes.”
Allana's eyes lit up as she blurted excitedly, “That's a great idea.” They both summoned out the one item they had been gifted by the game itself. They were golden boxes representing the fact that they could offer a person a chance of receiving a high-class gift. Each box could only be used once, and one could acquire many things from them, including items, skills, and even pets. With eyes that were almost glowing with anticipation, the girl added, “Ooooo, I heard if you state what you want for your first Mystery Box, you'll have an increased chance of getting it.”
Alexander looked at the girl skeptically at this, “I don't think that's a real thing.”
Allana snorted and egged him on, “Go on, try it.”
The boy took this as a challenge and snarky retorted, “Fine then…” Looking at the box, he thought for a moment before smiling and stating, “I want something that will help protect me from crazy people like Allana.”
The girl's expression grew angry, though the next moment, the golden box in the boy's hands burst into a cloud of white glitter and light. The next moment, Alexander saw a screen appear before him that stated:

Not even a moment later, another window opened as well:

Alexander couldn't help breaking into laughter at this, causing Allana to grow curious and demand, “What are you so happy about? It was only a common reward.”
The boy calmed himself down and answered, “It was a skill called Bonk.”
Allana looked at him doubtfully and asked in a voice full of doubt, “Bonk?” Alexander nodded, and after a moment of since, they both began to laugh again. After calling down, the girl asked, “What does that skill even do?”
Alexander was curious about this, too, and opened his Status Window:

He then selected the Skills button, which revealed:

His first skill that had come with his race was Magic Affinity, and his second skill was Bonk. He read them over and smiled as he explained, “It says it's an attack that doesn't do damage but has a chance to stun a person.”
Allana smiled widely at this and blurted, “See, that's what you asked for.”
Alexander recoiled at this and blurted back, “No way, this has nothing to do with that.”
Allana glared back and snapped, “Dose too.”
The boy was garing now as well as he blurted, “Does not.”
The two went back and forth with this till the girl snapped, “Watch this, you dumb elf.” Holding out the box, she stated, “I want a Rare Skill useful for combat.” The next moment, the box in her hands burst into golden dust, signifying she had indeed gotten a Rare item, the best possible outcome for the quality of the Mystery Boxes they had received. The boy's jaw dropped as the girl opened her status window and laughed maniacally as she blurted, “Life Draining Blade, when I injure something with a bladed weapon, I gain part of the HP they lose.”
Alexander had to process this for a while, though he was not being held up by jealousy of any sort. He just shook his head and responded, “That doesn't prove anything.”
Allana lost her composure and tackled him while shouting, “That's it!”
The two wrestled and soon began to laugh, both incredibly happy with their first day in Eden.
