Chapter 13: An Uninvited Guest
As Alexander at the girl across from him consolidated herself and cleared her throat before asking, "Almost nobody wants to be an Elf anymore. Why did you choose it?"
The Elf in question smiled and responded, "Oh, I chose to be an elf because I wanted to be the same race as my mom." Glancing at the dark-clad figure, he added, "As for who I am, you can call me the Friendly Hermit. We can exchange contact information later if you like." With a kind expression, he asked, "Who are you?"
Alexander didn't mind sharing his character name; however, after entering the world of the fairies, his ID had disappeared, and now he was related to share with such hostile people around. The human's eyes lit up, and she asked, "Wait, you don't know who I am?"
The Elf shrugged and responded, "I'm a Hermit. I'm not really up to date with current events."
The girl looked at him cautiously and asked, "Realy? A Hermit?"
Alexander nodded at the whale, taking a bite of fruit and shivering with bliss. "Yup, it's been over a year since I last saw another person."
The human finally accepted this and laughed before responding, "Mr. Hermit, you're crazy. You can call me Riri. I'm the best Summoner on the server and a Vice-Leader in the Lothlorien Guild," Winking she added, "Where the strongest Guild right now."
The Elf was impressed and responded, "That's super cool."
Riri adjusted her hair smugly, then leaned forward and asked, "Now then, Mr. Hermit, how did you manage to get into such good graces with the fairies?" Gesturing to his spot at the table, she went on, "You got the second seat at the table, which means your favorability is currently the highest on the server."
Alexander did not expect this and responded, "Wow, I don't know."
The dark-clad man shouted at this, "Bull Shit, it was some sort of secret hermit Quest wasn't it."
The Elf shrugged and responded, "I haven't completed any quests yet. I don't even have a contract with the fairies. We just play a lot.'
Riri's eyes bulged as she blurted, "You don't have a contract, but they still listen to you."
Alexander glanced at her and responded, "Well, it's not really listening. We're just friends. They've been helping me navigate the wilderness, and I give them Mana."
Not understanding the power of kindness, the dark-robed man blurted, "So you trained them."
The Elf almost laughed at this and emphasized, "Not at all, we're really just friends." After thinking, he added, "I even got the title One Loved by Fairies to prove it." Everyone glanced at each other as Alexander cut his last fruit into thin slices. He took one and handed it across the table, adding, "Sounds like this fruit is really valuable to you. I don't know if a slice will help, but at least you'll have something yummy to eat."
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
He quickly walked around the table to deliver slices directly to each person, wanting to leave a good impression. They all gave him baffled looks that soon became appreciative, if not inwardly scornful. The youth hesitated when he reached the demon but stated, "I know you don't like me, but I hope we can be friends."
The young man clenched his fist and roared, "That's it! To hell with this!" He summoned a large black sword, causing everyone's eyes to go wide, and shouted, "Let Morgoth descend and smite my enemies."
A wave of darkness exploded from his body, destroying the table and sending Alexander flying. If not for a magic barrier from the Fairy Queen, the Elf knew he would have been killed by this attack. Still, the impact knocked the wind from his lungs as he flew across the room.
Alexander landed on the ground, where he heard Riri shout, "Impossible! You can't have a Morgal Weapon this early in the game."
The man laughed with mad zeal while roaring, "Believe it, idiot. I'm going to sacrifice this entire damn tree and all these damn Fairies to the Dark One, and he will bless me with unlimited power."
As crashing sounds insured, he heard the Fairy Queen speak loudly, "This is a Holy Land. You have no power here, Deceiver!"
The demon snarled and shouted, "I might not, but my Lord does!"
Alexander looked up to see the dark-clad male hold up his sword, which then exploded, ripping a tear in space. From it, pure darkness spread out in all directions and engulfed the demon's body. The Queen was forced to be defensive at this, shielding the tree with all her subjects in it from the darkness. Worriedly, she cried, "Fairy Friends, please stop this man before the summoning is complete. I must protect my subjects."
In a flash, the Elf witnessed an intense battle begin. However, draped in pure shadows, the demon seemed untouchable. His reflexes were faster than lightning, and he could send another player flying with a single punch. As seconds passed, a dark figure began to materialize behind him, appearing daunting and evil.
Alexander was scared but knew he had to do something. Gulping, he stood up and summoned his staff before walking towards the man from his rear.
The demon was too busy laughing to check his blind spot and began throwing shadowy fireballs that decimated the hall. Dark waves of energy emitted from his body, causing the temperature around him to plummet. The cold stung Alexander's skin, but he stole his resolve and continued to sneak closer.
Eyes landed on the Elf as he moved, not believing that, given his weapon, his class, and his opponent, he would actually manage to make an impact. As he got closer and closer, those who watched him expected the demon to turn around at any moment and smite him, but he didn't. They were baffled and amazed by this. It was clear the Elf wasn't using a skill like Stealth, Concealment, or Camouflage; however, the demon was still completely oblivious.
Even as the Friendly Hermit raised him, the deceitful demon remained oblivious. Only when the staff fell on his head did he become aware of his hidden enemy. The already baffled audience was even more baffled as all the demon's magic stopped, and a hilarious expression appeared on his face.
Alexander was still quivering with a trace amount of fear as he hurriedly continued to whack the man with his staff. The effects of his Bonk skill couldn't stack, but if he was fast enough, he could re-initiate the Stun Status Condition as soon as it ended.
Soon, he saw a notification state:

As the other players looked on in awe as the shadowy figure released a violent cry and began to fade, the Fairy Queen took action. With the darkness currently uncontrolled, she managed to push it away and, with a wave of her hand, called out, "Begon!"
A hole in reality appeared under the demon, and he fell through it out of the Domain of Fairies. She summoned an elegant want and shouted again, "Evil, I banish thee!"
A blinding golden light filled the room, dissatisfying the remaining darkness, including the dark figure. The light surrounded the treat in space made by the demon's sword and, in moments, sealed it tightly. The rift faded and, after a moment, was completely sealed.
