The current situation of the city has taken a toll for the worst. A third of buildings have been turned to rubble while half of them have been lit aflame. A small scale war has erupted between two armies and a small group of just five people. The shockwaves and aftermath of the individual battles have killed millions of innocent lives.
Inside the secluded torture world, Arbor is experiencing illusions of his family members from earth burning on a funeral pyre. Just as he would be inches from saving them, their bodies would turn to ash. These scenes have played hundreds of times over. Arbor could feel his life as it slips through his fingers and falls through his hands.
“Kill him you sadistic bitch! Every second that passes is another that he could be saved.”
“Wake up Arbor!”
“ARBOR!” A thundering voice back by a powerful cultivation echoed throughout the city causing many most of the people to hear his name.
Two voices penetrated into Arbors ears as the world suddenly changed back to the courtyard. An intense pain overcame his body as his eyelids closed and opened a few times before ultimately fainting.
Most of the bystanders who managed to remain conscious from the powerful scream ignored the yelling, but a select few chose to remember this name. Who could cause such an existence to act in such a way? Only someone who is dear to said person's heart of course. Obviously, this person has a powerful background and must be related to those terrifying existences fighting. If this Arbor is able to make it out from this battle alive, then he is bound to make some type of impact on the realm.
A shield with tortuous carvings landed in front of Arbor in the blink of an eye and protected him from a poisonous black cloud. The shield appeared to swallow the smoke and keep Arbor safe.
Mysteriously, thousands upon thousands of various kinds of weapons appear in the sky. All of them appeared to have a mind of their own. They started attacking all of the dark dressed characters with a ferocious tenacity. No matter their cultivation level, weak or strong, they were attacked. The death toll skyrocketed and kept climbing by the second. Blood began to form small streams on the city streets.
As the smaller fights raged on, Telum, Volcan, Thalli, Pona, and Sol gradually moved closer to one another from their respective sides of the city. Each is in their own desperate fight against multiple opponents. Many formation type attacks were cast by the weaker cultivation levels in order to have a chance against those at the peak..
At this moment Arbor and egg lay unconscious over Tellums shoulder who's standing in a circle with the rest of his crew. All six of them are surrounded by a sea of dark clothed individuals and defending for their lives.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“He is only unconscious but his soul is severely damaged. You stupid midget, why did you bring him out here? You know it's a bad idea for him to leave the forest.” Tellum directed his anger towards Volcan.
“The boy needs to learn and grow. The only way for that to happen is to experience the world.” Volcan barked back.
“Get him out of here! If he lives then our dream will live on.” Tellum slowly spoke with anger as he nodded in agreement with Volcan. Their strength began to rise as they began to burn their life essence and attack wildly and ferociously. They knew that this is the most difficult predicament to get out of all of their battles. A sea of white flames erupted as countless peak individuals lit a flame. A melody with an eerie and deathly ring played through the city and beyond its walls, causing specific individuals to have a stinging sensation in their souls. Some of them even died on the spot. Runes appeared on five of the fighters that fortified their bodies. In addition, a bubble appeared around them that reduced the incoming damage from every attack.
“I don't have enough time between attacks to cast another formation.” Pona complained as she poured more power into the formations she had already cast. Due to the amount of energy needed to support the other four, cast a protective formation over them, and fight at the same time has put Pona at her limits.
“You seriously have placed all of your hope on that boy. By the time he grows to the peak of cultivation, my army will have tripled in size. You are placing your hope in something so useless. He couldn’t even handle a little torture. Hmm. Pitiful.” A voice drifted over. This voice caused everyone in the city to shudder with fear.
Darkness descended from the sky as a hooded figure dressed in a color of black that appears as a black hole. No ray of light dared to get close to it. The enemy forces parted as this person slowly walked through towards the five pitiful people in the center.
The mood changed drastically when this person showed up. The faces of Arbor's five elders became extremely stern as they recognized this figure. Horrific flashbacks of their last meeting crept up in their minds. The aura of death intensified as the bodies of those undead began to shift and decompose at an exceptional rate. A stream of black sand flowed from the bodies to this figure and up into his sleeves.
“After all of these years you have finally shown yourself Veon. I’ve been waiting to fight you for a millennia.” Tellums fightin spirit ignited as he attacked Veon with a will to break the nine levels of hell in one attack.
Tellum unleashed a golden strand of Qi that contained hundreds of constant changing attacks from every weapon imaginable. The swiftness of a whip, the sharpness of a sword, the durability of a shield. The unique aspects of all different kinds of weapons appeared in this attack. It is easy to tell that Tellum has fused many different types of weapon Qi’s into one attack.
Kriewu and Sul stepped in front of Veon and took on most of the attack. The remaining energy of the attack made it to Veon who stopped it with his hand. “While you have been a thorn at the side for my disciples, you are nothing for a man who is a God. You’ve reached the peak of cultivation and still aren't a match for me. I’m not like Haoshe who was naturally born from a product of the laws of the world and is restricted by what he can do. Thus, I am not restricted by the world and can bend the laws of death to my will.”
A circle of runes appeared at Arbors feet as the defensive shield weakened a little bit. The runes started to glow brightly and turn in miscellaneous patterns. At the same time as a bright light enveloped Arbor, a small sliver of energy from Veon’s attack passed through the defenses of the big five. When the light disappeared, Arbor was gone.
