and just like that we go around to multiple stores including but not limited to: a blacksmith for a short sword, a parchment maker for a few blank books which I would have never been able to afford, and a magic shop to get a few quills and ink along with a small amount of magic ink apparently for writing spell scrolls and magic circles.

After finishing the last store, we got in back in the carriage for the last time and started heading towards the city gate. “So why did you help me this much? I doubt it was cheap for you to pay for all this.” I question, wondering if the noble had some ulterior motive. “Because your selection from the Great Mage Seymer made me more than enough profit already.” He Explains “If Great MageSeymer gets a good impression of our Viscountcy, then it could attract mages from all over to visit our territory. So the only thing I ask for getting you these items is to tell Great Mage Seymer that you got them free of charge from me, Alex Blackborne.”

“It seems like a small request for all these items.”

“It certainly is, now let me take you back home.” Alex said enthusiastically while telling the coach of the carriage where to go next.

My father had a rather shocked look on his face after seeing the carriage pull up to his house, and immediately bowed into the ground. Not seeming to care about the mud smearing him he said “This humble present greets the young master of the Blackborne family.” Alex glances at him “I will be heading back to my estate, I hope you remember our promise Mage Apprentice John!” He waves to me and gets back into the carriage leaving me and my father, who was still making a fool of himself.

He looked suspiciously at me and asked “Son, I want you to tell me what happened. Don’t leave out a single detail.” So I explain to him the whole ordeal and my promise to Alex and he sighs “My boy, you did well. You will be meeting a lot of nobles in the future, so just try to stay strong and don’t let anyone tell you your not special because otherwise the Great Mage wouldn’t have picked you.”

He looks over the horizon to see the sun starting to set “Head into the house, dinner is ready for you on the table.”

After dinner and Abby’s useless chatter, I got in bed and waited for everyone to fall asleep to take out the Personal Assistant. I immediately go into the chat app.

[Modern 8] MMM: Someone knows how to not ping people when talking to them. That’s a first.

[DND 2] Respect your elders: MMM, hacker stopped so please do the same. To answer #7’s question: every time you die you respawn at a place you designated beforehand and if you didn’t you respawn in the last bed you slept in. As for the second question, try to go to the adventurers guild and register to do some basic training and quests. After you kill enough things or gain enough experience your Health app will be unlocked and same with the Training app.
