When Atio had died Euripedes hadn't felt the Teia link shatter but it had weakened quite a bit, suppressed perhaps, but it hadn't shattered. Euripedes had just thought she was mistaken, she hadn't told anyone because they wouldn't understand, no one would the Gift of Teia was hers alone and it was her burden to bear.
But now, she felt the Teia link flicker, like a candle was reignited. If it had been suppressed it felt alive again, like it was reinvigorated, like a man had been revived.
Teia links worked in a very weird manner, it was like a web or a mind map, the ones closest to Euripedes in a physical sense were the easiest to gauge. However, if Euripedes was close to someone and truly had a connection with them, she could sense their moods even miles apart.
If it was one sided in the sense that the other party was unaware of Euripedes’ link to them then it would be harder to sense anything.

A subconscious understanding usually sufficed, however in Atio’s case it appeared that something sinister was transpiring. His link had been silent and suppressed for nearly two months to the point that Euripedes had thought him dead. It being up again meant something bad had happened the past months.
Atio must've either been extremely physically weak or unconscious, neither of these was good.
Today she had finally worked up the courage to attempt to let the link fade, she had taken up a few hours off to sit in the Teia estate and meditate. Allow the turmoil within her to balance and let the link fade.
Before she had a chance to commit to it, this had happened, she had only just begun to meditate when this reinvigoration occured.
She knew what to do, if there was one man who could help her it was Pistos. She rushed to his office to catch him before the Chancellor's summons. She succeeded.
Euripedes stood in front of Pistos’ door. She was struggling to knock, what if she was wrong? She knew it was possible after all, Atio was dead. He was long gone, she had only now felt his presence, but maybe she never had. Not really. Why couldn’t she let go? Pistos seemed to let go so easily? Why after months did this have to happen, just when she had worked up the courage to let go?
Before she could spiral further, Pistos opened the door and Euripedes was greeted with a surprised;
“Euripedes!”
“Pistos I-”
“Euripedes I really have to get going, I have a meeting with the Chancellor”
“I know, I need you to tell him a message from me…”
“Euripides I-”
“Atio is alive.”
