His heart was a train about to derail from its tracks. The dragon was nudged out of the way, it hit a rock and began to roll until it made contact with a thick oak. Its eyes were hazy, the vision of the world was a blur in time. The deciduous forest had been invaded by something greater than life itself. The dragon sat up, looking ahead at what had landed.
His vision was permeated with the sight of a yellow dragon. Its wings were large and thick, his eyes had a hint of anger to them. The knights were beginning to run away in unconditional fear, but it was futile. A loud roar from the dragon gave way to a mighty flame, which encapsulated the forest into fire, and blistered the knights into an unsavory death.
The heat waves from the fire radiated toward the red dragon, and made it beam with a thick layer of sweat. “Broder?” It asked in a confused voice. The dragon backed up, prepared to see the same fate as the knights as the yellow dragon turned its attention to him. What was the right thing to do in this situation?
“Algriez……” The dragon said, a blue hue forming in its eyes as it chanted some kind of spell that hit the red dragon like a truck. Cascaded in black, the image of even larger dragons formed around the red dragon. One stood larger than the rest, laying on a pile of golden treasures with a white skin so pure and mighty it would make the masses tremble.
“Obrium of the Twelve Gates has summoned you here dragon. You must submit to him when he speaks.” The dragon beside the white one spoke. The albino dragon shifted upwards and stood on its four feet with pride in his stride. At a stance, this dragon was ungodly massive in comparison to the red dragon.
“My speech will be transmitted to you in a way that can be understood youngling.” His voice was articulated and well-defined, but held a great deal of masculinity. “The Council of Dragons has recognized you as one to keep an eye on. Thus, we have decided to name you.” He glanced behind him, “Dragons rise.” The dragons rose, and stood at attention. “Your name shall be Nol, granted that you second in line from your bloodline. Your brother, Ekren, has already gathered up significant strength in Trigua City. Continue to serve the dragon race Nol, you are an interesting specimen.”
You have been named: Nol
Nol didn’t even have the time to speak or process any of this before the black began to fade back into light, and the yellow dragon who had entered the woods was beginning to leave. “Wait!” He said, the dragon already in the air and flying over a mountain. He did a disappearing trick, which could only be described as teleportation. How strong were dragons in this world truly?
Nol picked himself up, hurrying to escape the burning forest as trees crashed to the ground and bodies began to stink like burnt flesh. Which was an obvious comparison to a more literal reality. The dragon glided out of the way of a falling tree, the burning branch almost catching him in its crosshairs. He was almost in the clear when a hand grabbed him by the foot and slammed him into the ground.
The jarring force of the dragon’s jaw hitting the ground was similar to the pain of someone uppercutting it straight to the face, although it had never experienced such a thing. Nol turned around, being met with the bottom end of a knight’s boot. It was Robin! His hair was seared off, and his skin was charred to the bone. The armor was in shambles compared to before. “If I can’t live, you can’t either!” Robin forced his foot down onto the dragon, sending ripples of pain into its stomach.
Nol wasted no time, clawing up at the weakened man. This was a battle between creature and man, but man would not falter here. Robin grabbed the dragon by the throat, the tail of the dragon stabbed through the bone of his arm. He shrieked in mad pain, but didn’t let go. The tears in his eyes were running, “I will die here, and so will you!” He screamed.
“Not if I have anything to say about it.” Oreep teleported behind Robin, sending his hoof through his chest and destroying his heart with a single motion. Blood splattered everywhere as Robin crumpled to the ground, his body not having time to react to Oreep’s quick and sporadic moves. “Let’s get going.”
The sheep grew wings and started flying into the air, “If you don’t come now, I’ll leave you in the dust.” He said, flapping his wings high into the air.
Nol smiled, so much had happened at once, but for the first time it felt like it had a brain and a friend. It was time to see a new adventure, and now he had a name he could relate to. He had goals and a foreseeable future. The Council of Dragons….an interesting bunch, not to mention his brother had already been named ahead of him. That damn blue dragon.
He flapped his wings hard into the air, soaring high into the sky after Oreep. Although it was a futile attempt to catch the bastard. “Coming!” The dragon said, flapping its wings hard as the pair darted over the forest and found refuge in the clouds.
A wonderful mist exploded as the dragon pierced through the manifolds of the clouds, the sun heading down below the horizon. Oreep was making all kinds of holes in the clouds, having a swell time being able to fly at such a rate.

Nol’s wings felt more agile, he even sped up some more when he was met with a herd of large birds. They cawed and chased after the dragon. They were twice his size. He ducked under the herd, but they followed like a tank of fish. The black feathered birds were catching up, their chompers just grazing the dragon’s back feet. “GYYYAHHHH!” Nol screamed. He never got a break from anything, just more and more shit came his was.
The beak of a bird grasped his back leg, but he shook free. Nol decided he only had one option. He sped up, using a considerable amount of energy as he turned a complete reversal. Releasing a hot geyser of flames at the birds, some smacked against his face and other fell to the ground. A majority of them flew in opposite directions to avoid the bright flame.
You have suffered blunt damage -34 HP.
The birds stood no chance, but neither did the dragon. There were more birds than dragons here. They kept coming, so Nol was forced to release a costly second flame from his jaws. The result was a smaller flame, but it was still able to detour the birds away from him. The large birds were honing in on his backside, but he couldn’t keep up. Letting go of the idea of flying, he stopped flapping his wings to stall out.
The birds dropped at a fast rate, flapping their wings toward the falling dragon as he continued to spew fire upwards at them, then he darted off into a singular direction. He left a trail of fire, bursting through it and flying back toward the forest. Oreep teleported to him, “Are you really having that much trouble with some birds?” He said, lounging his hoof against his cheek.
“Move!” Nol said, smacking right into the orange sheep before he started falling to the earth. He hadn’t exactly made it back to the forest, but instead he was probably going to land a few miles away from it. If he was able to land before he was consumed by large black birds of course.
“Tell me, why are you in such a rush? What business did that dragon have with you?” Oreep appeared in an instant at the dragon as they both fell to the ground. He wanted to know what had changed in the dragon in such a small instance of time. He himself couldn’t read minds of course. He was curious how such a simple dragon could change so much in such a day. Despite his forced evolutions, the dragon itself was stellar in its own way. Its combat prowess was natural and strong for such a young dragon.
“You are definitely not a common dragon, what are you?” He chuckled. They were a couple hundred feet from slamming into the ground and facing death. If Nol didn’t do something here, he would be dead for sure! “Oh...it seems you’ve blacked out.” Oreep said.
“Well, I can’t just let my new pupil die here. You’ve convinced me you’re an interesting one alright.” Oreep hit the ground hard, smacking against the canvas of the world. He caught Nol, but hitting the ground himself didn’t even budge a discomforting face.
They landed in a mountain mine entrance, a few miners shrieked. “What the fuck!?” A human said, his construction hat came off. Someone dropped their pickaxe coming out of the mine. “I’ve never seen such a thing in all of my years.”
“Somebody, quick! Grab a net. We gotta’ capture that dragon. I could quit minin’ with that cash!” One of them said, they shuffled around, darting around like bugs for some kind of net to capture the two with.
You are malnourished - 20 HP.
The dragon had not eaten in a long time, its eyes bolstered open. The smell of fresh human filled its nostrils. The succulent taste of human meat was a commodity to the dragon, and such a thing was required to survive for its legacy.
Oreep lounged on its side as blood spurted from the side, and screams emerged in abundance. The dragon was already feasting on the meat of the miners. “Jeez, I guess karma is real.” He said, wishing he had some tea about now. “First the yellow dragon, the black birds, and now he’s eating miners? No wonder this dragon is growing so fast--or maybe, do all dragons grow at this rate?”
The night passed and the two rested on the cliff’s edge. News about the murders around the Duke’s territory began to spread. Some said they spotted sighting of a human-hungry dragon in the area, but others were quick to call these murders an unfortunate coincidence.
Tommy’s Pov:
Tommy awoke in a small bed, a pair of tits crumpled against his chest. They were nice and soft. He thought, an erection was manifesting between his legs. He hadn’t remembered the details of the night before. He knew he’d gotten to an inn and gotten drunk. Where had Griggs gone? He opened his eyes to be greeted with Grigg’s smug face. “You wanna put that shit away?” He said.
“Why the FUCK are we in a bed naked together?!” Tommy jumped up, instantly soft as he pulled on his clothes. He grabbed the last swig of alcohol and chugged it. “I’m going to find that damn dragon! Fuck you and your training.” He buckled his belt and swung the door open.
“Tommy, you are under arrest for the murder of Lady Roosta, and your involvement with a fire the other night.” Two city militia walked into the room and cuffed Tommy. His face was devoid of all characteristics.
“Hey...Griggs. Want to help a brother out?” He said, nervously. The militia didn’t wait on Griggs to respond. They were all business.
Griggs scratched his bare ass, “Take him away. I don’t know who he is.” He sniffed his fingers, getting out of the bed. His face never lost its smugness as this scene unfolded. He just delighted in the humor of it all.
“GRIGGS! You MOTHERFUCK--” The door slammed shut, and Griggs was left alone in the room by himself. He stretched his muscular body, before putting on his own clothes.
“Time to hunt for dragon!” He shouted.
