The Supreme Cultivator
The First Battle

The First Battle

"Hello, what buisness do you require from me?" Replied Bòhé chá to the email, and just as he pressed send, three seconds later he got a message saying 'This is my skype, contact me.'

Albeit confused, he didn't think that there was any problem, so he opened his skype and contacted the Vicious_Ginseng.

"Good, now let's get into buisness." Said Vicious_Ginseng, increasing the anticipation of Bòhé chá.

"Okay?"

"Alright then, Tea_Cultivator, I've taken an interest in you, and would like to have a match between you and me on Osu!" Typed Vicious_Ginseng quickly.

"I'm sorry, I'm very tight on time so I'd rather go and make some money for personal reasons, maybe I'll accept your challenge another time." Replied Bòhé chá, not knowing that the little Ginseng hit the computer table in frustration.

"Then why don't we stream it? Both of us will announce it now and start half an hour later, deal?" Said the quick witted Vicious_Ginseng, making Bòhé chá ponder for a while before answering.

"Alright."

Since Bòhé chá had a nice amount of time, he decided to go out to buy a video camera due to the insane influx of people who told (threatened) him to show them what he is doing live. Going inside the electronics store, he used his credit card that was present before the start of the story (hence him able to earn money streaming) and bought a high quality microphone and two cameras.

Why? One for the keyboard and mouse that he is going to intensely abuse, and another for his calm facial expression when he destroys his opponent. Also, since he is at the store, he bought a good 15 inch tablet with a pen so that it is both portable and big enough for drawing.

He smiled slightly as he exited the store, paying more than a thousand dollars at once, but he didn't care since his popularity might explode soon as he defeats the Vicious_Ginseng.

With the plastic bags in hand, he headed home while walking underneath the street lamps, so he thought.. "Doesn't this look like a mugging scene?" And he was.. wrong.

On the unilluminated side of the road came an old man walking his dog, but Bòhé chá knew him, so he greeted the man then returned back home.

This trip took 25 mins, and in the rest of the 5 minutes, he has to set up the equipment as quick as he could, so he did. With great speed and accuracy he plugged the microphone and the two cameras, but only turned one of them on; the one that oversees the mouse and keyboard.

He stored the brand new tablet in his closet then sat back on his chair, and the time finally ran out.

A message came from the Vicious_Ginseng said that she is ready, and telling him to open Osu! and accept her invite, so he did. Now his stream is ready, people went to his channel and her's to see both sides of the story, and then she put one of the hardest maps yet, a fictional map that only appears in this story : Wǒ xūyào bāngzhù.

One thing in common about Vicious_Ginseng and Tea_Cultivator is that they never showed their faces, only their voices and their hands were present. As for Vicious_Ginseng, it was purely knowing that if her face was seen, many of her acquaintances who are also fans of Osu! will pester her about it, so she wanted to do her best and keep it a secret. On the other hand, Tea_Cultivator had one reason : "If my total donations reach 100k dollars I'll show my face, thanks.", this was one of the lines written inside his channel info.

Obviously some fans thought he was lying and going to show his face soon, however, he was very serious about it, thus making his face a very expensive commodity.

Anyhow, with both players ready, the match started, and what the spectators saw was something out of this world.

His fingers furiously hit the letters Z and X, but knowing that his keyboard is not of high quality, he also combined his mouse, all of them in sync at once, making many of the spectators open their eyes wide and cough mouthfuls of blood.

Vicious_Ginseng saw her score on the side being surpassed slightly by her opponent, none of his hits were green, only blue. She was one of the best, and rarely got greens, however, just like any normal player, she had at least one or two.

Tea_Cultivator didn't look normal at all, all his hits were perfect yet not in a robotic way like the robot mode, circles floated around the screen on both sides and he didn't miss, not even one.

Vicious_Ginseng started feeling frustrated, but also tried to keep her cool since she knew that concentration is what she needs now.

And the end has come, and once Vicious_Ginseng saw the score, she hit her delicate jade-like knees in frustration, but of course, no one heard or saw that.

As for the comments.. that is in the next chapter..
