Chapter 19: Tianfeng Is Humbled, A Total Beat Down

Tianfeng's first move was lightning-fast, a strike aimed at Kang Joon-Ho's chest.

Despite Tianfeng's swift attack, Kang Joon-Ho easily saw through his move and simply maneuvered his fist, connecting it to Tianfeng's strike.

Boom!

As their fists struck each other, a compelling shockwave was sent around the cave which blew out the fire of the campfire, leaving the cave in complete darkness.

The force was so strong it made the ground shake and left web-like cracks at the center of the two men.

Luckily, Zhuge was able to immediately produce a strong fire in his fingertips beforehand which he also lit the campfire back up with.

Kang Joon-Ho didn't notice this because he was having fun beating up Tianfeng and also due to Zhuge deliberately concealing his presence.

But if Kang Joon-Ho did, he'd be shocked because no one in the Master Realm can do what Zhuge Minghui just did.

A few seconds in, Tianfeng was blasted towards Zhuge Minghui's position.

Seeing Tianfeng's loss at raw strength and his figure nearing him, Zhuge shook his head and simply stepped to the side to evade as if he's just a bystander watching the fight of two men.

It's not because Zhuge was disappointed, but because he acknowledges how distant Tianfeng is from the peak of martial arts.

Even so, his progress is still terrifyingly fast and stable. Zhuge is certain that there are only so few in Jianghu of the same generation that can compete with Tianfeng in terms of combat power.

This also shows how overbearing Kang Joon-Ho's strength is compared to Tianfeng.

As Tianfeng fell to the ground with a thud, Kang Joon-Ho ran and followed him before executing his second move—a sweeping kick aimed at Tianfeng's legs.

Before Tianfeng could even completely stand up and regain his balance, he was already hit once more.

The force behind the kick was immense, knocking Tianfeng off balance and driving him back to the ground.

As Tianfeng failed to regain his footing, Kang Joon-Ho delivered the final move—a decisive blow to Tianfeng's sternum, aimed to incapacitate.

The impact was controlled but it still left a crevice on the floor beneath Tianfeng, making Tianfeng vomit blood and breathless, signaling that he's unable to continue the fight.

Tianfeng's vision slowly blurred, but his indomitable will prevented him from completely blacking out.

Shortly after, Tianfeng slumped to his knees, his chest heaving as he gasped for air.

Knowing that he has helplessly lost against someone, he gritted his teeth.

Although Kang Joon-Ho is many major realms higher than Tianfeng is, it's still a big blow to Tianfeng and his pride.

He had underestimated Kang Joon-Ho's prowess, but he harbored no regret. He had faced a formidable opponent and pushed his limits, a testament to his growth under Zhuge Minghui's guidance.

Kang Joon-Ho stood over Tianfeng with smugness on his face, his shadow looming over him.

Tianfeng raised his head, defiance still burning in his eyes despite his battered body. His pride was wounded, but his spirit remained unbroken.

Kang Joon-Ho looked down at him with a mixture of respect and satisfaction in his gaze.

"You have strength, young one," he acknowledged, his voice carrying a rare tone of approval.

"But you are not using your potential to the best. Only I can make you achieve that. Besides, you must remember our agreement, right?" He smirked, his eyes boring into Tianfeng's.

"According to our rules, you must accept me as your master by kowtowing three times," relishing his victory as he proved his strength, Kang Joon-Ho spoke with smugness.

Before Tianfeng could respond, Zhuge interjected, his tone calm yet challenging. "Senior Kang Joon-Ho, if I may," he began, drawing Kang Joon-Ho's attention.

"Can I also propose a sparring match under the same rules? I just want to test my strength as well." Zhuge inquired with a faint smile.

Kang Joon-Ho's eyes narrowed, a flicker of irritation crossing his face as he recalled Zhuge's earlier disrespect.

His lips curled into a sinister smile. "Very well," he agreed, his voice laced with hidden malice. "I accept your challenge."

He looked down on Zhuge Minghui, underestimating him as a mere master realm martial artist.

He relished the thought of putting Zhuge in his place and perhaps even injuring him enough to cripple his dantian and end his martial journey.

The dantian refers to the energy center within the body. Located about two inches below the navel, it is considered the primary reservoir of qi.

Martial artists focus on cultivating and storing energy here to enhance their strength, endurance, and overall martial prowess.

Proper breathing techniques direct energy to the dantian, improving control over internal energy, balance, and stability, which are crucial for both defensive and offensive maneuvers.

Beyond its martial applications, the dantian plays a vital role in promoting health and longevity.

By harmonizing the body's energies and maintaining physical and mental well-being, the cultivation of qi in the dantian supports overall health.

So dealing serious damage to one's dantian would most likely translate to them being crippled and their martial arts completely gone.

In this way, the people who have their dantian damaged or destroyed would revert them back to a lowly mortal, permanently staying within the weakest bracket of people in Jianghu.

The two men stepped into the center of the cave, the atmosphere thick with anticipation.

Kang Joon-Ho's aura flared, still exuding the same oppressive force of the Transcendent Realm.

Zhuge Minghui, however, remained calm, his expression serene and unperturbed.

With a swift motion, Kang Joon-Ho lunged at Zhuge, aiming a powerful punch at his jaw.

Zhuge evaded by precisely weaving his head to the side, his movements fluid and effortless.

He immediately countered with a light flick to Kang Joon-Ho's shoulder, sending him flying towards the walls of the cavern.

Kang Joon-Ho was blasted into the wall, the force of the impact cracking the rock behind him.

Shock washed over his face as he struggled to comprehend what had just happened. He had never been bested in physical prowess before.

This is the first in his lifetime that he was placed in this situation, which is typically where his opponents end up instead.

On top of that, he was just fighting a youngster. Someone who, albeit has an athletic and fit physique, didn't look that strong.

This was a heavy blow to his dignity as one of the nine Overlords, particularly because he was beaten at his own game.

He now understood the reason why Zhuge's calmness was unsettling.

This man's simply playing the pig to eat the tiger!

As he looked back at Zhuge's indifferent demeanor, it was as if the man before him was a demonic war god—one who had won billions of bloody and destructive battles and had never lost a single one.

The sight was terrifying, as if he's nothing but a mere insect in front of a godly being.

Steeling himself, Kang Joon-Ho resolved to change his tactics.

Kang Joon-Ho growled in frustration, launching a series of rapid strikes, each blow carrying the weight of tens of millions of pounds.

Zhuge parried and dodged with ease, his calm demeanor never faltering.

It was as if he was toying with Kang Joon-Ho, moving with the grace of a master playing with a novice.

Frustration mounting, Kang Joon-Ho unleashed a devastating kick aimed at Zhuge's midsection.

Zhuge caught his leg mid-air and due to the force of the kick's momentum stopping suddenly, it caused a quake that reverberated through the cave.

Zhuge pulled the leg of Kang Joon-Ho as he used his other hand to punch him in the chest which sent him crashing to the ground.

The cave floor trembled once more with the impact, dust rising in the wake of Kang Joon-Ho's fall.

Kang Joon-Ho rose once more, seemingly unfazed but clearly injured from it.

He rushed at Zhuge with renewed determination, throwing a series of punches, kicks, and takedown attempts.

Yet, he was countered effortlessly by Zhuge every time, who seemed to be using only a fraction of his strength like he's deliberately embarrassing him in front of Tianfeng.

It looked like Zhuge only wants to beat him up until he looks unrecognizable anymore.

Tianfeng, bloodied and still reeling from his own defeat, watched in awe and amazement.

Despite his injuries, his eyes sparkled with admiration and pride as he witnessed his master playfully beating up the man who had defeated him in three simple moves.

The difference between his own struggle and Zhuge's effortless dominance was not lost on him.

Zhuge's usual cruel and creepy smile played on his lips as he toyed with Kang Joon-Ho, enjoying his suffering.

"Is this all you have? I expected more from the so-called Titan of Strength." he mocked, his voice dripping with disdain.

Kang Joon-Ho's frustration grew with each failed attack. His movements became more desperate, his strikes more erratic.

But Zhuge remained unbothered, dodging and countering with ease.

He delivered punches and palms that sent Kang Joon-Ho sprawling or pushed back, each one a reminder of his inferiority.

After delivering a slightly stronger punch which pushed back Kang Joon-Ho meters away, Zhuge sighed, his expression turning bored. "This is getting tedious," he remarked.

In an instant, he appeared in front of Kang Joon-Ho, his speed blurring him into invisibility.

As Kang Joon-Ho threw a haymaker out of surprise and instinct, Zhuge Minghui dodged it by lowering his stance.

Then, Zhuge Minghui sprang back up and landed a powerful fist to Kang Joon-Ho's chin, causing a split-second concussion to Kang Joon-Ho.

Following that is a powerful uppercut that sent Kang Joon-Ho propelling towards the high ceiling of the cave, leaving cracks on it upon impact.

While Kang Joon-Ho was still falling down, in mid-air, Zhuge followed up by leaping after him.

He punched Kang Joon-Ho in the chest, sending him hurtling back to the ground. The force of the blow left a crater on the cavern floor.

Even though the power was controlled, it made Kang Joon-Ho feel like he was about to faint without actually losing consciousness.

Kang Joon-Ho lay in the crater half-dead, beaten like a man ganged up by tens of people.

While gasping for breath and writhing in pain, Kang Joon-Ho struggled to regain his composure.

The insurmountable force he had just encountered left him disoriented and aching, every movement a reminder of the sheer power he had faced.

Zhuge landed lightly beside him, his expression one of casual indifference, as if the whole ordeal was nothing more than a trivial exercise.
