I woke up in immense pain, it was almost unbearable, but it quickly subsided. The center of my chest burned with pain, I had never felt so much before. It took me some time to regain all my senses. It felt like I was on a metal bed, but I couldn’t move to check. I heard people somewhere rustling around, it sounded like they were searching for something. Finally a massive headlight turned on above me, and I saw that the people who were rustling around were doctors though they didn’t act like doctors. I looked around me with my peripheral vision, and I was hooked up with tubes that seemed to have gas in them. There were three doctors, and they kept pushing each other around. It looked like they were digging in a pile of scrap metal. Then one noticed I was awake.
They quickly ran over to the other side of the room and flipped a massive switch, in a couple of seconds I was out once more. When I woke again I was in a different room, I was free to move on my own now. It was dark, but I could still see a little bit. I was in an empty room for the most part. I looked behind me to see that I had woken up on a mattress on the floor. In the opposite corner of the room was a massive door. Light was barely able to seep in through the crack underneath the door. All of a sudden I had a massive release of gas through a burp. It filled the room with black smoke. It was as if a smoke grenade went off. The smoke dispersed quite quickly though. There was a loud banging at the door, and then a piece of the door slid open revealing a tray with food on it. I walked over to it and picked the tray up. The piece of the door slammed shut again.
“I’ll be back for it in 30 minutes, you filth.” A man yelled outside the door.
Then taking his warning seriously, I devoured the food as fast as I could. Then I waited for the man to come back. About 25 minutes later I saw the door panel open again. I rushed over to give the tray back to him.
“Good, I’m glad this one is different from the rest.” He said.
The door panel closed once more. I was once again in the dark. Then I heard something horrifying.
“Another one is trying to get out!” The man who gave me my food screamed.
“Nah dip Sherlock!” A lady’s voice yelled.
“Just shut it and get over here Phoenix!” He yelled back.
“Don’t you want to be armed to fight this thing Kyle?” She replied.
“Just hurry it up then.” He grumbled.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
I heard the most monstrous scream of pain I had ever witnessed.
“What did they inject this one with?” Kyle asked.
“I think this is one of their newest,” Phoenix replied,”I think they added a whole new system into their body. I believe this is the one that has pure adrenaline running through its secondary veins.”
“Secondary veins?” I wondered to myself.
I was thinking about the secondary veins when I remembered when I was stuck on the metal bed and couldn’t move, and I remembered seeing those tubes filled with gas. That made me realize that when I had burped earlier that was me using the secondary veins. I started slamming on the door trying to get the people to hear me.
“Let me out, I can help!” I screamed.
“Did you hear that?” Kyle asked.
“Hear what? Phoenix replied.
“I thought I heard another one trying to get out.” He said.
“No, I'm trying to help!’ I screamed desperately.
Then I decided to try to form a different gas, one that might be able to corrode the door, but I didn’t know how. I started thinking of the only corrosive gas I knew of, nitrogen dioxide. I then started to feel air get sucked into all of my pores, and then it stopped. I felt the top of my left arm start to tingle since I didn’t know what was happening, I aimed it at the door. Suddenly all of the pores on the topside of my arm opened and an orangish red vapor came bellowing out of them. It took some time but the door ended up getting dissolved by the gas. I stepped out into a massive hallway and I saw people who I assumed were Phoenix and Kyle with firearms standing in front of a massive human who appeared to be deceased.
“Let’s make a recommendation that they don’t make another one of these.” Said Kyle.
“Agreed.” Phoenix replied.
“Hello?” I said.
Kyle whipped around and yelled, “Put your hands up or you’re dead!”
For obvious reasons I threw my hands up in the air.
“I just wanted to help.” I told them.
“We don’t need your help, maggot.” Phoenix retorted.
“I’m sorry then.” I replied quietly.
Just then the massive guy behind them got up and swiped them into the wall. The adrenaline must have given them super strength and some kinda durability.
It turned to me and said, “Thanks for distracting them.” And he started walking away.
It was then I knew if I didn’t help Phoenix and Kyle then they would hunt me down and end me.
