Chapter 14: Amaterasu Riku

----------------------------------------

*Solis Continent**

*Vier Household*

**Vier**

HA ha haha hhaha!

"I came as soon as I heard the news! Hah ahahahahh! To think the Vier I knew become the new Spirit Lord! I say...time has changed!" says the old fart who barged into my household with intimidating aura!

I think I mentioned him before....but this old fart is Amaterasu Riku. The current head of the Great Spirit Amaterasu Household. The strongest spirit in existence....if only he were as smart and reasonable...that is right! This guy is a complete muscle head! He can't rule the spirit realm even if his life depends on it! He always settle things with brute force! No negotiation! All oppositions or enemies that ever faced him were grind to dust!

I can't help but shiver at the thought. I am not sure if I should be grateful that he is my benefactor or hate him for it. Damn!

But he has such competent and powerful subordinates! I can only thank them for keeping him under control! Though it did not surprise me that he immediately assumed that I was responsible for the death of the former Spirit Lord. His subordinates did almost all the intelligence network and work that requires serious thinking and analysis of the situation. He simply hears them and decide whether or not to take action. Also, the great spirit houses are bound to investigate the matter. Even Shiroki found out and made his way here. I sighed.

"Old man....it has been awhile. But during these uncertain times...is it alright for you to leave your household?" - Vier

I ask in the most respectable manner I could muster as I stared at him floating above ground with a grim expression. Patience! I cannot lose my composure!

Though I really want to kick him out right this instant.....I had a trauma with him....

"Hahaha, no problem...no problem. My Rudal continent is completely impenetrable! Those rampaging spirit beasts will only jump into their deaths! Hahahaha! Nothing that my subordinates can't handle!" -Amaterasu

"Sigh...very well. Please stop releasing your aura. You are scaring MY subordinates. Balamore, prepare the best guest room" I said as I glared at Balamore. She is obviously enjoying this!

Balamore coughed twice and replied with an affirmative and quickly left to execute my orders.

The rest of my subordinates could finally relaxed as the old man retreated his aura. They were quickly dismissed and resumed their respective duties. None would likely come close for a while.

*Guest Room*

"Fufufufu....to think that the Head of the Amaterasu House would come and visit in such a flashy manner. As expected of the strongest," - Foul mused as he nodded to himself. He always like a good show.

"Foul? Did you just said the Amaterasu House?" Shiroki asked with an uneasy voice. Foul simply gave him a meaningful smile.

He heard a lot about the Amaterasu House in his many adventures throughout the spirit realm. The Head of the Amaterasu house was a legendary figure, the oldest among the 5 heads of the great spirit houses.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Although Shiroki never bothered or make much contact with any of the figures of the great spirit household in his short period of life in the spirit realm, he nevertheless heard much about them.

He had many encounters, good and bad ones, strong and weak ones, but they were free and unaffiliated spirits throughout the spirit realms.

Never he had a fortuitous encounter with any of the influential figures of the spirit realm like the Amaterasu household.

He even had the notion that the great-spirit houses are nothing but an arrogant bunch that likes to flaunt their powers over other spirits in their territory.

This much cannot be denied outright. There are individuals in the many spirit households who held executive positions, and respected great elders that abuses their authority over their territory.

The great-spirit households have an alliance in pretext to not intrude on each others territories and undermining their authority. It was a pretext to avoid conflicts and war between great households. Some of them have good relationships and some with concealed enmity.

At the top, is the Spirit Lord. The Spirit Lord oversees the great-spirit households and ensure that the weaker spirits were not trampled on and protects them not just from dangerous entities such as the evil spirits and spirit beasts, but from being driven and involved in hidden conspiracies by questionable spirits from all sides.

Shiroki, who does nothing but ventures the spirit realm, stalk on the woman of his dreams, and never delves into power struggles among the spirits, have not much knowledge in this aspect.

Plus, he spends the other half of his life in the human world, where his household resides in.

The same could be said about Ellen, who spent most of her life secluded and locked from the outside world. The only knowledge and news she received were from books and servants. She never could have imagined that she was at the center of everything.

Shiroki turned towards Ellen and held her gaze. Ellen could not stand such an intense gaze and thus quickly averted her eyes towards the floor, quickly coming up with something to say in the tense atmosphere.

"Ah, you do not have to worry? Lord Vier and Lord Amaterasu seems to be on friendly terms?" -Ellen

As Shiroki was about to speak up,

"Seeing how Lord Vier was able to nullify the 'entrance' of the legendary figure with a wave of his hand. I am sure that they are somewhat well-matched. Nothing to worry about young master...," Foul interrupted in a teasing tone.

Shiroki gave Foul a menacing glare and Foul quickly averted his gaze to the courtyard and shuts up.

"No, I was simply thinking that we were rudely interrupted," Shiroki moved closer towards Ellen and said as such.

"Ah, yes. Uhh, well where should I start?" Ellen stepped backwards in response, flustered. She remembered that she needed to explain about the circumstances that led her here, in the Vier household.

Shiroki shifted even closer in response to Ellen's retreat. A smile played on his lips.

"From the beginning..." - Shiroki.
