Crossing the Line

Damon waited for her at the benches where they had their first kiss. Looking back, she seemed so legitimate about everything, She seemed to be more nervous than he did. She even dodged the first one leading to an awkward but successful recovery. Thinking back to that moment made Damon chuckle a bit. All form of it dissipated when he saw her. Sylvia walked over him, but she wasn't the someone he remembered. Her curves disappeared and her once tan skin was now paler and tight along her bones. Her once long and luscious hair now was thinning and discolored. Her eyes once so fiery and full of passion were now tired and baggy. Something about her still got him excited as the first time he saw her. They met in the middle of the park. A mix of emotions overcame him. She was first to speak. "Hey Damon. How are you doing?" she said, her voice hoarse. Damon reached over and put her hair behind her ear.

"Sylvia.....what happened to you?" he said, letting his concern answer her question. "Don't start with the heroics. This is the only thing that makes me happy. You could never accept it and I doubt you ever will." Sylvia said, pulling away from Damon. Damon got closer. "I never made you happy?" he asked. The pain coming back from the last time they were together. "What did I ever do wrong? Sylvia just please come back."

"Stop. Just stop being dramatic. What do you want, is that why you brought me out here?" Sylvia asked. Damon paused and looked at the ground. Then met her gaze "I just wanted to say goodbye." Damon said. He opened his arms for a hug. Reluctantly Sylvia agreed. He pretended to trip and was able to fish her phone out of the pocket of her baggy sweater. "What the fuck Damon?!"

"I was always clumsy around you." Damon grinned. Hoping to her smile one last time. She sneered at him and walked away. Damon stood there and watched her walk away before retreating to the bench where they had their first kiss. His breathing got unstable as held back a few tears. Then his total and utter rage took over. "He's dying tonight." Damon said, his eyes tearing and his jaws clenched. He had to clear his mind for his shift later on.

It was a slow shift. Damon sat at his desk clicking his pen repeatedly. All he could think about was putting down someone that didn't deserve to live anymore.

Damon didn't waste time. It was now midnight and he geared up for his assault. Sylvia hadn't put a lock on her phone. It was strange because she had one when they were dating. He clenched his jaws and tried his hardest not to smash the phone onto the floor. Finding the scum wasn't hard. It was all about reading the messages. He messaged him.

"Hey! Can you meet me in the corner of Hydug and Crawlace?"

"Sure thing. You have another surprise for me Wink [https://forum.royalroadl.com/images/smilies/wink.png]?"

"Oh yeah.....get ready for it :*."

"Can't wait."

Damon got ready to head out, grabbing his mask, gun and blade.

"Going somewhere?" Aaron asked getting out of the shower.

"Shutup." Damon said as he left.

"Well time to wake up Derek and follow that crazy bastard." Aaron said to himself.

Damon parked far away from the location. And made his way there. He stood behind a corner and watched a figure walk down the street.

"Keep walking to the corner." Damon texted. The figure looked down at the phone and continued. Eventually he reached the corner and Damon released everything he had pent in.

As soon as the dealer reached the corner Damon landed a punch straight to his face. The dealer fell and out of shock, tried to run. "YOU'LL NEVER ESCAPE!" Damon screamed as he pursued. The adrenaline and his fitness allowed to him to jump on the dealer. They both crashed to the ground. Damon flipped him over and delivered shattering punches to his face repeatedly. Something cracked and blood gushed all over his face. The dealer had no emotion, just stared into Damon's face. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU TOOK FROM ME?!" he screamed. The dealer did not answer. His face terrified, bloody and in shock and the screaming skull staring him down. Damon yanked him off the floor and slammed him against the wall. "ANSWERRRRR MEEEE!" he screamed again. As he threw him aside. The dealer tried to crawl away. Damon stepped on his back, flattening his body. He grabbed him by the hair and smashed his face into the concrete twice before pulling his head back. "PREYING ON PEOPLES' ADDICTIONS!" he screamed yet again as he kicked in his ribs. The steel toe boot shattered something and the dealer cried out. "Still have some life in you huh?" Damon said. "Sit up against the wall." The dealer did so, withering in pain. His face a bloody mess. Damon kicked him in the ribs again. "FASTER!" he screamed at him. The drug dealer did so and stared Damon in the face, he was crying now. Damon leaned in close. His eyes hidden by the shadow in the mask. He pulled out his gun and showed it to the dealer. A whimper escaped from his mouth. "Shhh Shhhh Shhhh" Damon said as he put a finger to his lips. "You scream and I'm putting one in your head."

A terrified look appeared on the dealer's face. Damon slammed him with the barrel of his pistol. "People call you their hero. GET UP!"

The dealer couldn't so Damon forced him upright. "ALL YOU ARE IS A PARASITE!" Damon screamed as he slammed him again. He holstered the weapon and pulled out his blade and slashed his chest repeatedly. The dealer sat in a pool of blood. Damon decided not to kill him. He took his money and phone. He used the phone to call 911. "Hey pick up this low-life trash that tried to jip me at the corner of Hydug and Crawlace." he said as he hung up and threw the phone at the dying man. "I hope you bleed out. You're a disease." Damon said, he started to walk away. He stopped and paused. "And.....I'm the cure......" he said. He turned and aimed the gun at the dealer. Right before Damon shot something grabbed his arm. The bullet hit the dealer's leg and he let out a scream. Damon immediately countered his assailant and threw him in front of him. It was Aaron. "I'm not letting you kill him." Aaron said.

"Get out of the way Aaron." Damon said. A deadly tone to his voice.

"I don't care if he dies. You fucked him up. He's done. Mentally and physically. Those wounds are severe and he's traumatized. You'd just be saving him. I'm trying to save YOU!" Aaron pleaded. Derek stood behind Damon ready to restrain him. Damon was fully geared but the other two men had their masks and their jackets. Damon put the gun away, the cops are on their way. I have until then to get passed you both and finish what I started.
