Staring intensely at my new clock.
Tick*
“Oooh, the minute hand moved!!!”
Yes… shameful it may be to say…. I have no means of entertainment!!!
Sitting cross legged on the ground and clock in hand, I am bored. Just a minute ago, haha get it cause the minute hand just move for the first time after it was made… I’m so lonely… I’m no comedian…… why am I trying to tell jokes…. anyways back to the topic!
I have a lot of time ahead of me, options to kill time would be vast, and yet I am bored… I know next to nothing about my new “cell” and that’s making me worried.
There are a few things I am curious about, let’s write it down in a list!
1. Who is my cellmate? The only thing I have going on is what Greg mention before, something about a rogue Goddess of destruction? That’s to vague Greg!!! She is capable of destroying my body hundreds of times like it was nothing, even if my body was as tough as an ancient earth dragon's scales upon arriving here.
2. Where am I? The only evidence of this place being reachable from the outside world was, well I was brought here. But what is here? The ground is white and it glows, the space above it is white, everything in this place is white!! You would lose your sanity sooner or later with this set up, that’s why I made the earth ground big. This prison cell definitely looks different than the detention cells, above? That’s for sure.
3. How can I use sorcery? Aside from manipulating mana, you can’t create something from nothing using my method, or is that not true here? I was curious about this because I’m an alchemist first and a sorcerer second.
Difference being, sorcery uses magic circles, word of power/incantations and other mediums to create phenomena that affects the real world and will something to existence, mana is consumed to compensate such actions.
My version of sorcery stems from alchemy, meaning I use existing materials or object and manipulating it to my will, I can even change its property by transmutation, example, changing a pebble into gold. This method uses less mana to use and is actually practiced by many, excluding the transmutation part…
So why was I able to create water? Was there any moister in the air? I haven’t seen any bodies of water in the whole place, this earth too, where did it come from? The mana consumed tells me that I was only ‘changing’ things and not conjuring it using mana alone.
4. Can I escape from this place? No walls to be seen or felt so far, so this strengthen my hypothesis of this place being spherical. Is the only way to get out of here is by portal? Is this like the divine realm?
End of list
Eh? Why am I thinking about this now? There is a difference after resting your mind and body!
My sleep time aside, I have been here for more than seven months at most. My cellmate doesn’t move around and just sits. I have a good month and a half of walking distance or is it floating distance? From her.
“Haaaa, should I make a companion?” I thought after sighing.
Homunculus, a pretty much taboo art of alchemy. My goddess have strongly warned us against such actions, no matter how great our alchemical knowledge and experience become. She said it would be a mockery of life and toying with it. This art was the only taboo in our clan, headed by the Goddess of life.
“Aaaargh!” I scratched my head in irritation.
Three thousand years later and I’m still holding on to her teachings… Hahahaha what a laughable form of hypocrisy after killing her! I’m disgusting!
Haaah, I’m just wasting my time thinking this through. I could make a loop hole, and create an animal instead of a human… if I ever see her in the afterlife I’ll just ask for her forgiveness then. Though I highly doubt I would ever die…
“Fuck it, let’s do it!”
I’m not stupid, at least I like believing that I’m not. So I’m going to do this properly, damn it!
Every living thing needs a livable environment. For starters, a breathable atmosphere -yes there isn’t any air in this place and yes I don’t need to breathe- I brought up my hands up, first I would need an enclosure to prevent the air from dissipating, this would also reduce the needed mana consumption and transmutations to fill the space with air.
Hah? If there was no air then how was I able to talk? Your smarter than you look, huh. Well let’s just say ‘just because’. I’m a three thousand years old genius alchemist and sorcerer I don’t need to take things like this from you, Karren. Hmph!
Hmmm, the radius of the barrier would be 5 kilometers to enclose the whole land, it would be cylindrical instead of a half sphere so its height would be around a kilometer.
The properties of the barrier was to prevent any air or gas material from escaping, but creatures and I can come and go as we please. Why don’t I prevent them from escaping? Ha! ‘Curiosity killed his majesty' as the saying goes, it would just be another form of natural selection.
Next step, placing my palms together I gathered mana in me. Running calculations through my head, how many of which elements does this place need, only having oxygen would be poisonous after all. After finishing my calculations.
“Transmutation!” I shouted out.
A strong glow from my hands spreads out, it was brighter than the white space around me, and after the light died down I took a deep breathe.
“Haa, nothing beats breathing in fresh air after a few years without it.”
I checked the levels of the different gasses and it was at a livable setting. To compare it, it was like in the field at the foot of a mountain where flora would be abundant, there is a difference between high altitudes and low ones after all.
Two hundred meters from my home, I made a crater forty meters wide. This shall be the watering hole for the fauna, I guess I need to have a few of this scattered around the plot of land.
Next would be placing plants, I would like to coat the surface with grass. This would need sorcery the kind that bends reality to my will!
“Oh earth where life comes and to you, return. I, Farst your master and creator, commands and you obey. Breathe life to this barren land, so once again beast both great and weak may walk!”
A good self made incantation if I say so myself! I stomped my right foot down and from there green grass sprout, and like a wave, covers the land with it.
“Looking good, looking good.” I nodded to myself.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Look, I really didn’t need to recite any incantations, it may have sounded cringey, but I rarely have a chance to talk! I’ll take any chance I get, okay.
Now that that’s out of the way, I’ll go around the land and change the landscape of a few places.
The coin flipped in the clock, and now it is noon. Twelve hours of work to transform the barren land to a lushes green one, I made a hill to the north, a great lake to the east, and ponds dotted the west and south as watering holes.

“That was satisfying.” I said to no one in particular
Right now I was in the comfort of my own room, dark as always. It was still 2 in the afternoon, but working a sweat for the whole morning deserves a good rest.
My body still feels warm after the warm bath I took in my new bathroom!! A 3x4 meter room opposite my bedroom, with a big bath that was 2x2 meters that was at one corner of the room and a potty hole at the opposite corner! Since I’m planning on creating life tomorrow, I already made preparations for when I take part in the food chain.
I don’t intend to just end things by only making a companion, the creation process hyped me up and now I want to create an entire ecosystem!!
All in due time of course, with no experience creating life, aside from plants and trees, this would be a new experience for me.
For now, I want to sleep, I will let future me handle things.

“Owaaa, nothing beats a good night’s rest!”
I was once again outside my home, after doing my morning stretches I am good to go! The clock says that it is now seven in the morning.
What would be good as an experiment? I don’t think I know enough to tackle complex animals or monsters, so I thought up of a simple cheat. Yes, a cheat!
My body becomes a lump of meat once my soul leaves it behind! And I can always reform a new one. Sooo, I plan to reform that rather than building up a whole different being.
That comes with a whole set of problem, the closest animal and monster to man back in my world would be Ungoy (monkey), Gorilya and Matsing to name a few. But those are omnivores, I only have grass growing now so maybe I’ll make them at a later date.
So a small creature that dines on grass and can repopulate fast would be ideal.
Daga (rat), Usa (deer), Kambing (goat) and Kuneho (rabbit) would be a good candidate, and if it can’t live on grass alone I’ll try making other simple vegetation to accommodate its appetite.
Out of this, Kuneho seemed more appealing to me, that being it would also double as a food source, also making a predator for it won’t be hard, another small beast like a fox would be enough.
Right now I have a stone slab in front of me as a table and on top of it is a handsome blond haired youth, hidden under his closed eyes were emerald colored eyes that was usually filled with life, but now was murky and lifeless. His body was lean, no unneeded fat and unnecessary muscles. Those six pack abs and well built legs.
Yes, my lifeless body is right in front of me!
First, I separated the blood from the body, then I sliced up the torso at the center to access the organs. I made jars to contain every organs, they were filled with ice for preservation, brought to you by magic.
Next, I deboned the body, crack it open to retrieve the marrow and then crush the bone to fine powder, and placing it on its own jar. This would make reconstructing or rather reforming the skeletal figure of the Kuneho easier.
In a new table, a magic circle is carved on its surface. What is it for you ask? It’s an analysis table. Don’t get me wrong, I can cast an analysis spell of my own, but with a proper tool the results would be more accurate. After all the analysis spell can only tell you so much.
The table with modified circles, geometric shapes and letters was specifically made to let me know how the organ that I’m going to be analyzing works, like blood filtration, waste transport, hormone balancing and many more.
Eh? What’s this about homunculus and flasks? Well ain’t that convenient, well go on, make your own. I like learning through experience after all. I do this my own way.
Now I was at another table, this time it has burners, glass tubes, flasks and their holders. Figuring out the different fluids in the body aside from blood and how they function, and more importantly how to make them. The outside of my house was starting to look more like an alchemist’s lab.
I decided to do it outside because I didn’t want a dead body in my home, especially if it’s my body. Homes are for the living after all.
Hmmm, maybe I should make a detached building and make it my lab. Though the new atmosphere helps with keeping the fire lit, the down side would be contaminants from the outside now that there is a new atmosphere. I put the thought aside for now as I continued to analyze my organs.
Fifty-seven hours, that is how long it took for me to grasp how each organs work and how to recreate them. The only down side… I only have a male specimen with me. In other words… I have a problem in creating a working female reproductive organs.
Do I need to have a visit with my cellmate? The answer is an absolute no!
The last thing I need is to lose everything I’m working hard on.
I am still in a bind though…
Aha! I can just study plants! It’s a long shot sure, but it would be better than nothing.
I don’t need to copy the plant’s way of reproduction to a tee, instead I’ll use it as an inspiration to create a system close enough to make reproduction possible.
Another fifty hours later and.
“I’ve done it… I have done it!” I was excited.
One of the flasks that contain ‘baby batter' and the experimental egg cell, had a reaction! It may be too early to rejoice now, but still.
I fell down on my naked butt, the green grass that soften my fall felt really comfortable.
“Haa… I’m really tired.” This endeavor was mentally taxing and if I was a regular joe, the physical fatigue would have killed me ages ago.
“I think, I deserve some rest.” I thought as I lay down on the grass and drift off to sleep.
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-
“It stinks!” I yelled out as I wake up.
Then I found the cause.
The organs and meat left behind were already rotting, the ice meant to preserve them seems to have melted a long time ago and the grass I was lying down on looks a little taller.
How long was I out? The clock reads 8:26 in the evening. Unfortunately this clock doesn’t tell me the days, and according to my internal clock, I have been out for six days.
After cleaning up by incinerating everything including the tables and tools. I decided to go a little farther away from my house for the lab.
“This seems to be far enough.” I was fifty meters away from my home, to the east.
An alchemist’s experiments are dangerous after all, explosions are the least of our worries.
Eh? What could possibly be worse than explosions? Imagine accidentally creating a slow acting illness or poison and spread it to everyone you know and love, and causing an epidemic. There are many fates worse than dying instantaneously. Remember that.
Good thing I’m completely immune to diseases, my actions were more on habits than anything else. Rotting things tend to make people sick after all. That’s why I chose to incinerate the waste.
With a new table and lifeless body in front of me, I proceeded to collect the parts that I would need and incinerate the rest.
With my bones, I made the two skeletal structure. With my flesh, their bodies. Organs were made with sorcery because of the sizes, this also included the blood.
As I close the skin, two Kunehoes were on top of the table.
Now, the question is. How to give them life? Nah just kidding. I already plan to use electricity to jump start the heart as I pass life energy to it. I had tons or infinite even for being an immortal hahaha!
“First trial of creating life.” I said as electricity collects on my index fingers, then press both at the same time to the body’s chest along with my life force. The body raised up then down, but nothing happened. It was still just a body.
“Second try, at creating life.” Nothing happened again.
And again, and again, and again.
As I was about to give up, the Kuneho’s chest started going up and down on its own. Sign of breathing.
“I, I did it!” I was so happy.
The little twerp hoped around the table, it looked like it was concerned for the other Kuneho that was lying down. So I made a small box at the side of the table, walls high enough that he can’t escape. Note, he wasn’t fluffy, I made him from human skin to begin with.
“Now, for your partner.”
The supposed female partner was left on the table. I did what I previously have done to the male to the female. And before long she also rose up and was energetic like her partner was.
Aww, when I placed them next to each other, they started cuddling. Aaand now they’re having sex… *sniff they grow up so fast. I’m gonna be a grandad before long, huh.
Thus close my long hard work to create a new life. It was tiring, but at the end I feel satisfied as I watch them, not the part of them having sex, the fact that they were alive!

The next day.
A new earth wall surrounds my home, it was to prevent my first denizens from getting lost. A watering hole was now placed at the back of my home. With the wall, it felt like having a small front yard and backyard.
With, Alphonse and Diana secured. Yes, I named them, deal with it! I was now before another body of myself, I got curious if I could give this body life like what I did for Alphonse.
Having pets is nice and all, but I would like a conversation partner if I could help it, and hey, this isn’t like making him from nothing, so he won’t be a homunculus. It’s more like reviving a dead person.
The body was on top of a table, just like yesterday. My excitement was slowly rising.
With deep breathes to calm my nerves, I reach my hands to the chest and proceeded to shock it while depositing life energy.
The first pump of electricity and life energy, then the second. Working at it till I see any signs of consciousness, and like yesterday.
“Whoa!! He’s moving!” I saw a little twitch from his fingers, and slowly his chest rises and falls. He was breathing!
But all my excitement soon vanishes.
His eyes shot wide open, he looked left and right, with a confused face at first then it slowly contorts to that of fear.
“Graaaaaaah, gaaaaaaah. Raaaaa!”
After sitting himself up, he just started shouting and was clawing at his own face, I quickly restrained him. Blood flows from where he scratched at, his hand red with the blood that spilled. I’m confused, what is going on here?!
“Graaaah, kill me! Kill me! Aaaaaah!”
Snot and tears flowed from the wailing youth along with his blood. His face far gone from it’s handsome appearance as he begs for his death.
“C-calm down!” I said as I was hugging him, trying to apply calming spells that I knew of.
He started to calm down for the first time.
“W-why… why did you… revived… me…?”
After saying his first coherent words, his face slowly turns to twisted fear and agitation.
“She’s coming! Just kill me now! She’s coming!!” he was starting to tremble, limbs shaking violently.
I was shocked, is he referring to my cellmate? But he never saw her, right? So I asked him “who is coming?”. I would never have suspected his response.
“The second princess!! The second princess of Valeshine!!!”
Dumbstruck to once again hear that name after three thousand years…
“Kill me now! Please have mercy, she…. She’ll do those things again!” he was now full on bawling.
“T-they also won’t stop searching for me!”
I unconsciously asked “Who are they?”
“The Gods’ search dogs and beasts!!” he then looked around and noticed the clear white sky above. “She’s here too?!” he wailed more. Violently trying to rip himself from me.
“The silver haired lady will kill me again!! Graaaa!! Kill me already!!!” he shouted once again, as he realizes that he can’t get away from my grip he bit my ears hard, the action was futile. My whole body was harder than dragon scales by now, his teeth wouldn’t even leave a mark on me.
Aaah, I let go of him, I was at a lost. I don’t know what’s happening, I’m in shock. What was supposed to be my new companion was like this.
When my arms lost its grip on him he then proceeded to claw at his head once again. When that wasn’t enough, he got off the table and slammed his head at the corner.
Shouting followed by a thud repeated itself until the thud had a wet sound to it.
I was just there, standing as he breaks open his skull against the table. His body slumped on the ground, blood flowing from his head, and his body twitching as life slowly leaves his body….
