Looking around for a weapon after seeing the blood trails leading to the language block and the many missing or half eaten bodies, it truly dawned on me how far over my head I was. Knowing this I looked to prepare myself for what was to come next, so I walked up to a tree branch and with a, “CRACK!” that reverberated through the forest I ripped clean a hefty stick with a bit of tree sap making the end sticky.
Then my heart dropped, as ear piercing screeches emerged from the language block followed by the sound of tables being thrown and doors being pounded on, then it went silent. As a single small green humanoid jumped out the window brandishing a dagger and crept towards my shaking form, only to charge after a half a dozen careful steps with its ravenous mouth open and screeching as it ran towards me preparing its dagger for a slash from above, only getting the blade caught in the stick as I held it up to stop its strike. The dagger only barely staying lodged in the stick with no help from my shaking hands as what I could only describe as a Goblin revealed a mouth of jagged teeth with a vindictive glee. The Goblin kept pushing me back with its furious attempts to taste me premature, which forced me to trip over a broken table slamming me into the ground, as the air left my lungs yet it kept pushing down, causing the blade to slowly sink deeper into my only defence. Seeing this I angled my stick to the left causing the blade to slip from the stick into the ground to the left of me with a metallic clang as it hit one of the many rocks on the ground without even a thought I dropped the stick and replaced it with a rock and slammed it into the side of the Goblin causing it to fly to the left of me. After the last strike I slowly raised to my feet as the Goblin violently twitched on the ground, dagger held with a loose grip, only for my thoughts about killing it to be cut short by a piecing pain in my leg as I looked down to see a arrow embedded in my right leg. Knowing the next move I jumped to take cover only for me to pull a pathetic hop as the pain in my right leg impeded my movement however I managed to avoid the second arrow as it passed above my leaping body. Scuttling for cover I managed to get behind what was a large root yet I was not safe as arrow heads ripped through the large root hitting me in the left side yet I could not worry about that as I had to move behind the tree itself as I did, I saw the many glittering smiles in the windows as arrows flew in rapid succession. Finally safe from the arrows for the moment I assessed myself, finding in my dash for cover I had only made the right leg wound worse but I couldn’t worry I had to think, I had to find away out but my mind remained blank as there was no cover and the constant thumping of arrow on wood was suffocating. I sat there with only one thought that maybe the skill, but what would it do, could I, survive, determination now fuelled I screamed, “ACTIVATE FREE FLOW!”

The world lit up with brilliant colours across the spectrum yet, that is all it was a colour show, one I could move with my hands, yet there had to be more, so I squished colours in to balls tried shouting spells from shows and games but that was it. I could manipulate mana but it just seemed like colours and my spark for hope and survival seemed to be dying like s fire being left out in the cold night as I saw my black mana less blood spilling out in a slowly growing puddle. Then at first I didn’t notice what had changed. The arrows had stopped yet I could not run as the arrows would follow me nor my spirit carry me, the Goblins would come and finish me off there was nothing to do but wait. Than the woods started to howl the same howls I had herd from the night before, it than started to rumble with the sound of a thousand charging horses then I heard the screams of the Goblins, I could at least revel in hearing my murderers die at the hands of something even if it was not me.
No I couldn’t go like this,
I wouldn’t,
I had to find if my family was alive,
Or at least I had to find anyone,
I wouldn’t die,
Looking around with a renewed vigour I would find away out of this, what did I have
I have rocks, sticks, leaves, a ability I don’t understand, roots and grass.
Roots and grass, without a second thought I ripped it from around me and tried wrapping it around my leg with a knot I secured it but that wouldn’t be enough so I grabbed some sticks and more roots and grass and made a splint to put more weight on the knee and not the wound above my knee. I started to run and get away from what I could only describe as a war zone as arrows flew at the wolves and the wolves ripped Goblins out the windows with pained cries from both sides. Than a notification rang as the Goblin I had hit was mauled and killed by a wolf. Then the same unfamiliar voice made itself known.
