Journey To The Sacred Beast Sect

“SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH”. High above the skies of the Holy Saint Continent a long golden figure flew in extreme speeds pulling with it a giant sailboat giving off the image of a boat sailing the clouds. The figure was Jin Lei the cloud dragon that came to transport Sacred Beast Sect’s new disciples to headquarters. In fact Jin Lei had already crossed hundreds of thousands of kilometres in the past 50 minutes. and this speed in comparison to his top speed was the equivalent of him leisurely floating about.

In the Holy Saint Continent Saints are capable of interstellar travel and Loose/False Immortals are capable of moving through space in an instant. Such speeds like Jin Lei’s current speed was nothing special. In actuality this speed in comparison to his top speed was the equivalent of him leisurely floating about.

While Sacred Beast City was relatively close to the coast it was still at least a 250,000 kilometres. Holy Saint Continent on its own was estimated to be around 5million kilometres north to south and 25million kilometres east to west, this mighty continent covered about 40% of the entire world and was the only continent on the planet. Since time immemorial, the planet itself have been designated the Primordial Saint World after patriarch Primordial Saint who was the founder of Holy Saint Palace.

Currently Jin Lei have decided to fly low giving the refreshed disciples a view of the vast ocean, for some this was the first time they had seen the ocean. The Vast waters glistened under the morning sun as Jin Lei flew over creating turbulent waves as he passed, the sheer aura from the could dragon was able to scare away numerous beasts and ambush attackers. This was also why Jin Lei personally came, with FengHuang and Hei Hainan’s status any annoyance in their journey was an embarrassment to the entire sect. Jin Lei actual job had more to do with ensuring FengHuang and Hei Hainan’s comfort then transporting the disciples and he certainly isn’t afraid to admit it.

On the deck, many of the youths were now wide awake and some even began daily cultivation. Some like Lin Zhenlan were simply admiring the view of the water, distant islands and the occasional demon beast with the guts to come near. Others like Shi Xuegang and Da Changer going through morning exercises.

Wan Kun sat in a lotus position quietly cultivating, he was already at the peach of Nascent Soul and was preparing for mortal transcendence in order to breakthrough to Spirit Severing. ‘Lets see, I must first detach my mortal spirit from my very being’ Wan Kun called forth his orb like true soul, he could see his Nascent Soul’s upper body rise out out of it. Wan Kun Nascent Soul looked very similar to him if expressionless and naked, currently it was still attached. ‘Just a little further and I would be able to reach Spirit Severing, by then even Great Saints would be threatened by my Buddha Palm’ Wan Kun smiled to himself, his progress was going smoothly.

At this moment Wan Kun’s master berated him “get that silly idea out of you head, do you know what kind of existence Great Saints are, even you have to be around the Exalted level to have a 100% ensured chance of killing one”. “I know master, I said I can threaten the weaker ones not outright kill” Wan Kun tried to appease his master. Let it be known that Wan Kun had a high level of arrogance.

FengHuang was leaning forwards on the fence atop the second level of the top deck, Hei Hainan stood next to her hands behind his back. He looked on towards the distance and said “5 minutes before the profound monstrous islands becomes visible, Jin Lei should be slowing down now”. Despite the high speed, there was no wind on deck yet FengHuang’s black air still blowed. FengHuang’s gaze then turned to said dragon “it seems Jin Lei has made some progress since the last time I saw him”.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

Hei Hainan smiled “he has recently gained quite a bit of enlightenment, with his cultivation speed he will soon become another pillar of our sect”. FengHuang smiled at this “lets hope that is the case. How are our forces by the way?” She asked Hei Hainan. The black robed man simply replied “almost ready, with the forces we have accumulated we should be able to make a grand comeback very soon. How is your cultivation?” He asked her back.

FengHuang replied to him “soon, becoming an Eternal Goddess is imminent for me, your lot on the other hand needs to improve more”. Hei Hainan chuckled “yes, yes but we can’t all be freaks of nature. Don’t worry about us, we’ll be ready when the time comes”.

It was at this moment that Jin Lei’s deceleration became noticeable, the once blurry background were now much clearer and the parting waters became less wild. “Masters, we’ll be arriving soon” Jin Lei’s voice boomed through the air startling some sleeping people awake.

FengHuang walked down from the stairs, Hei Hainan following behind her. The women in her red dress smiled at the sight of the refreshed new disciples. “Get ready, once you arrive you will go through the third test, remember this test isn’t about your entry but rather about you abilities and a demonstration for the elders”. FengHuang walked to the front of the sailboat as a distant large island became visible.

The island was huge, easily over 10 times the size of Sacred Beast City, it was filled with lush green trees and in the background was a large mountain over 5000 metres in height. FengHuang took this opportunity to introduce the location “This Island is one of the many island that makes up the Sacred Beast Sect. It is known was Initiation Paradise, the third exam will be taking place here”.

Wan Kun and the others could barely make out distant roars and shadows among the forests. “Wan Kun, you should be careful, I sense many high level monsters on this island” Wan Kun’s master helpfully informed him. Even Da Chang shivered slightly at the noises he was hearing “Dear Buddha, this island sounds intense”. “Tell me about it, I don’t think even the imperial training ground forests have this amount of energy pressure” Shi Xuegang couldn’t help but agree with Da Chang. Including the prince, every individual on board was able to sense high power levels at least in the Spirit Severing Realm. In fact SpiritSevering could be counted as a minority to the other powers they were sensing.

“Do not worry, the monsters on this island do not exceed Sky Realm, it should be manageable by you lot.” As soon as the words left FengHuang’s mouth everyone broke down in cold sweat, ‘Sky realm, isn’t that too much?’ One have to understand, Sky Realm was a stage where one can leave the planet and quake large continents, most Sky Realm experts are leaders of third their powers and important figures in first tier super powers.

“Having so many powerful existences under their control, as expected of a holy ground” Lin Zhenlan couldn’t help but whisper to herself. Jin Lei heard her comment and thought to himself ‘powerful existences? CHE, you haven’t seen nothing yet’.

In the next moment Jin Lei mentally contacted FengHuang and Hei Hainan “Sect Mistress, Grand Elder, the welcoming committee is ready for you”. “Oh? Who is it this time?” Hei Hainan asked with curiosity. Jin Lei obeyed and answered him “Currently Grand Elder Orochi, he has decided to helm your welcome”. After getting his answer Hei Hainan raised his eyebrow, FengHuang too was slightly surprised “he’s already back, I though brother snake would take awhile since he snuck back into to the Upper Realms”. “Well, our brother snake have always been a slippery fellow, maybe some interesting information warranted his early return” Hei Hainan wasn’t really surprised, in recent years FengHuang had been in secluded cultivation so she’s bound to be slightly unaware of things.

The Grand Elder Orochi of the Sacred Beast Sect have always been known to be great at gathering intel and espionage missions. In the many years in which FengHuang had not seen him had made her unaware of his improvements. “Well, it’s good that he’s safe.”

Jin Lei speed finally slowed as he approached the island. The coastal beach had a small plaza and a docking area that reached out over 500 metres long. A group of people waited on the docks. Amongst the group was a young teenager in green robes, he had dark messy green hair and yellow reptilian eyes. Even from a distance FengHuang was able to recognise her junior apprentice brother.
