My whole body is paralyzed, sweat tricles down my face. I can't even breath right.
Finally after several seconds of terror I calm down slouching into the tree I was leaning on.
"What the hell," I say to myself. I start reading the grimoire again trying to figure out what that was.
Do not be alarmed that reaction is completely normal you have just read mana infused lettering. The exact process is complicated and involves several years of study in the Word Arts feild, just know I infused a certain type of mana into the word. Now normal human eyes wouldn't even be able to see the word Fear I have written down. The reason for this is that I used no ink when writing the word only mana.
Now moving on. The last basic effect mana has on the body is that is allows the body instinctual fear and liking towards certain mana types. Now the specifics of this has been widely studied and just the theorys would take several books to explain. Just know if a certain feeling encompasses the body that makes you scared beyond belief run the opposite direction.
With the meaning of mana out of the way. Now the next segment of this chapter will discuss the main types of mana in the human body and what percentage of mana wielding individuals have an affinity for each one of these types.
The human body is made up of electric mana, life mana, earth mana, water mana, and air mana. This does not mean that humans cannot have another affinity only that these are what make up the human body. The percentages go like this.
From most populace to least populace.
Water Mana (40%)
Earth Mana (30%)
Life Mana (12%)
Electric Mana (8%)
Air Mana (8%)
Other Mana (2%)
The reason that these percentages are worth mentioning is that it shows the possibility of the mana you possess. Now the next question that should be ask is 'how does one check for their affinity?' The simplist answer is that its impossible. Atleast for humans with a mana starge under one hundred.

Let me clarify. A human cannot know their affinity until their mana storage reaches one hundred when that happens the mana prolapses revealing the affinity. The theory behind it is that mana needs a certain amount of itself to be potent enough to be useable. Now once the affinity has been discovered the feild of study should be choosen very carefully and with much consideration, but I will spoil the bubble foarming around the readers head. To actually study a field takes atleast two years to get caught up with in study, practice in magic and build up the storage big enough to be used continuseably throught the day.
But this book is getting ahead of itself. Now lets focuse on how most of the mana types listed above work in a practical setting. Water mana can for example be -
"There you are!" Someone yells right next to me.
"Ahh," I jump slamming on a nearby tree root.
"So this is where you've been hiding," my brother Ilo says standing next to me looking at the staff on the ground.
"You scared me," I say picking up the grimoire. Dusting off the dirt that got on it I lean over to pick up the staff. Ilo reaches down before me and picks it up examining it with his analyze skill.
"Where'd you get this lttle treasure," he says moving his hand down the shaft. His eyes have a small shiny spots in the middle of them letting me know he's analyzing it.
"A trader came by here thirty minutes ago and I bought it off him," I tell him standing up grimoire firmly in my hands."I also bought this grimoire and mana regeneration robe for a total of nineteen silver."
"Do you think you got a good deal?" He ask using analyze on the robe and grimoire.
"I don't know," I tell him honestly."I got him down a few of silver from his starting price so thats good."
He turns off his anaylze skill nodding."Well let me confirm you did I would have sold these things for a forty silver at my store. Another question how does that grimoire work exactly? I've held a couple before but never opened them."
"I've only been reading it for thirty minutes so I really don't know, but from what I've gathered there is magic in the book that affects only people with mana. It's actually said it a couple of times." I show him the book.
"Interesting, is there any spells that you can learn from the book?" He ask gesturing for me to follow him.
"Yes three, but I have no idea what they are going to be. Nothing interesting from what the introduction said. Why'd you come get me? Did something happen?" I ask following him.
"No nothing bad," he reashures me as we make it to the road turning towards town."But it is time for you to choose who you want to go with. I know you don't want to stay here."
I nod my head a feeling of dread comming over me. I knew this was going to happen adventually. I just ..... I just ..... Wish I didn't have to make the choice I would just rather have someone else do it for me.
We walk all the way to Mama's Inn once inside I take a seat at the table Molly and Ilo's wife are sitting at. My seet is inbetween the two groups making the decision harder.
"I know this isn't the way it should be, but it has to be done brother." Ilo tells me.
"I just want you to know that whoever you choice we will honor that decision and not hold it against you," Molly tells me.
Delaying will only make it worse so I need to make the desicion now.
"Okay I will go with-
