The political building has two floors. The first floor is set up like a court room with two large tables on both sides and a tall podium inbetween the tables where a judge sits. A judge isn't someone who has a law degree or anything like that. A judge is someone appointed by a King of a city state to deal with legal matters or matters that may end in bloodshed. They hear both sides of the argument and decide the best way to solve thte prediciment, they also read wills and coordinate large lands sellings.
The Judge at the hearing read the will alloud for everyone to hear. He said it clearly and pronounced every word. He was young around twenty six years old and had a shaven head.
Everyone sits at the tables Cassus choose to sit by himself at the right one.
"This will written on 101 of Plantseed in the year 306 is an instruction on how the money and assets of the reasontly passed shall be distributed. Starting with their oldest son Ilo your parents leave you six hundred silver coins and rights to all trading contrants they have set in place." Ilo grips the table his nuckles whitening. Six hundred silver is enough to live on for five months, and all their contrants must be worth several gold. Dang they must've really liked Ilo."Now to Cassus your parents leave you six hundred silver and all the contants of the basement. To Molly," Cassus smiles deeply no doubt he'll find a buyers all across the easters sea board," your parents leave you eight hundred silver and four hundred silver which will be used to pay for the rest of your schooling." Molly nods looking at Arthur who also nods. No doubt this helps her out the school cost alot of money. Now its finally my turn."To Cobon your parents leave you two gold peices and seven hundred silver."
"Tahuh," the air leaves my lungs as if I was punched in the gut. Two gold pieces god I knew the buisness was successful but dang. One Gold peice is equal to one thousand silvers, I'm rich I may not even need to work for the rest of my life!
"But you will only have access to three hundred silver until you turn eighteen, and one gold is to be used to pay for your schooling," Oh. That's understandable. Crassus's face contorts to a scowl, but he keeps his cool. Everyone else's eyes go a wide.
"The last part of the will shall discuss the ownership of the store. The first thing to be discussed is shall the store be sold if so the profits shall be split evenly among the four siblings. Can this be agreed on at this moment." The judge looks up at us now. Ilo looks over at Crassus.
"I'm not letting that little tick have any more money," Crassus says throwing me a snear.
The judge looks over the tables."Does this mean the store is not being sold?"
"Yes," Ilo says,"yes it does."
"Now that has been settled the next question shall be ask. If the store shall not be sold who here wants ownership if multiple people say yes it will become part ownership if a decision cannot be reached within one month the store shall be sold and profits shall be given to Baseline. Does anyone wish to forfit their rights to the store now. If yes come here and sign this paper with your name."
Me and Molly stand up and walk over to the podium. Molly like I said earlier has never wanted to run the store and I'm too young to go against Cassus. And I just inheritid two gold from my parents I think that I would look greedy if I tried to get the store too. Molly signs her named down then lifts me up so I can sign mine down too.
"Now that this doesn't concern you anymore. You may leave and collect the desimated amounts from the bank vault with these signed papers," he hands us two scrolls with his signiture on them. I grab both and hand one with Molly's name to her once she sat me down. We walk out the political building waving good bye to Ilo and his family. Arthur gets up and walks out with us.
"Can you believe eight hundred silver," Molly grabs onto Arthur pulling him, with me following, to the bank.
"If you count the four hundred silver for your schooling you got one gold two hundred silver," Arthur tells her grinning from ear to ear."And now with your schooling paid for you don't have to do mandatory four years of service."

"YEAH! That means I can join the Black Shadow guild immediatly after graduating. Yes!" She hops up and down her hair flying.
Me and Arthur stiffle our laughter at the exited Molly.
"I'm not the only one who sould be celebrating Cobon!" She says turning her head around looking at me."Your two gold richer and have a free education."
"Yeah gold I can't even touch till I'm eighteen," I say fidgeting at my robe.
"Oh thats only eight years away you'll be fine." She says to me leaning closer to Arthur.
........
Back in the political building.
"Can we have a moment to discuss the store in private," Ilo ask the judge.
"Yes, but if you start fighting I'm having the guard come and seperating you two." The Judge replies.
"Yes, sir that seems reasonable," Ilo thanks him and leads the three people including his daughter upstairs. The second floor has six rooms with three on each side. The group choices the last door on the right and enters. Sitting down at the table inside Ilo loosens the grip of the robes he's wearing.
"Now that we no longer have an audiance what do you two think will be the best course of action with the store." Ilo ask his wife and brother leaning back in the chair,"selling it is obviously out of the question. The land here is worth coppers we'd be losing hundreds of silver."
"Well we got lucky mom and dad gave us everything we need to continue the store we just need to put someone of moderate mentality to run it." Crassus says leaning forward he choose a seat opposite of his brother.
"I think we should expand it," Ilo's wife says. She looks diffrent from before. Before she had brown hair, brown eyes and a warm smile. Her hair and eyes are the same, but her smile is no longer filled with warmth."The building next to it the Babouns eatery."
"Bobo's eatery." Cassus corrects her.
"Whatever it is. The owner is old and his children are old too we could offer him a gold or two and he'd practically move us in. Then we tear it down build an add on to the store and triple the amount of product it can dish out. And give it a damn name I'm tired of calling it the store."
"I don't know about that, the name has sentimental value. But an add on would be a brilliant idea. We'd have more realastate to sell are merendise and look more professional." Ilo says poking his daughter making her laugh.
"Speaking of gold I can't believe that mom and dad left him with two pecies of gold. Little snot is probably bragging to Molly and her boyfriend about it now," Cassus says cursing his little brother's name.
"You handle more gold then that in week," Ilo's wife says giving the baby over to Ilo."And I personally like the little guy. He's quite, keeps his head down and has the possibility to become a mage."
"How in the hell do you know that," Crassus leans forwards his eyes widening into saucers.
"I heard your sister Molly mumbling it. Seriously that girl mumbles like theres no tomorrow. She said that he had mana and that a traveling merchant may bring them a grimoire anytime now." Ilo's wife looks at her nails of one hand checking for damage."With one gold going to his education I think we can be a bit picky with where he is sent off to for schooling."
"Agreed a mage can give us access to territories for now out of reach.... But wait they haven't asked us about his living arrangements they may have someone already in mind." Ilo says taking his daughter from his wife and rocking her.
"And what if they do?" Cassus ask snobly,"that thing needs to get as far away as it can get."
"Well I can take a stab at it and say you don't like him very much," Ilo says raising one eyebrow and smirking.
Crassus grits his teeth."Not at all. You don't understand you were gone while he was still in diapers that little shit was a devil."
"I think you're exaggerating just a bit," Ilo's wife rolls her eyes."He's ten when I was his age I was anoying my siblings a fair amount too. After puberty he'll straiten out."
"And all scemeing and money aside he is our little brother. I am not letter some stranger raise him and fill his head with ideals. The city state we're staying at would be perfect for someone of his age. Warm with hardly any winter and actually has people of his age around. With powerful families of course."
"Its never to early to arrange a marriage," his wife says twirling her finger then pointing it at her husband,"and given how your parents were done in the ding-a-ling in his pants may need a little help."
"Oh god I wish they would've mentioned how they died." Crassus says angrily,"all this time I thought some grates fell over ontop of them, but to kill each other."
"I think its poetic," Ilo's wife says."Wife ripping off her cheating husbands testicles. Mabey I'll do the same thing to you some day," she says staring at her smirking husband.
"Oh you don't care and to my knowledge you had a nice 'conversation' with one of my lady friends the other day dear." Ilo respond gratling their daughter."And in my personal opinion our father liked the secrecy and lies more then the sex. I am actually disappointed it took mother this long to figure it out."
"True, but to clarify the store will become a part ownership agreement between you two and me and you will send some people up here to run the store within a week agreed. And you two will attempt to buy the land next to the store."
""Agreed.""
"Good now lets get the paperwork signed I want out of this damn town."
