The Royal hound
Horrible day

Horrible day

An adorable fluff ball!

The puppy that Baba had in her mouth looked less rough then Blue had when he was a newborn. Her hair was blond brown, it was as if the sun rays made her fur shine, like golden jewelry worn by kings and queens.

She was a lot less interested about the things around her and more focused on the living souls.

The tense atmosphere goes from grim to childlike excitement in the blink of an eye.

Ohhh Baba you did it again!

Your second child born healthy!

The old man doesn't leave his place, however Blue runs towards them all excited.

He looks so happy, it's as if he became a puppy as well by seeing his little sister.

While Blue puts his face right before the pup, the pup directly tries to bite his nose!

She isn't scared at all, maybe it's because they are apex predators, or maybe it's because she somehow knows it's family.

Either way Blue doesn't care about the biting and gives her a big lick over her face.

The puppy looks kind of shocked, as if she just got violated.

But after the second big lick of Blue, she understood what it meant and gave him a small little lick on his nose back.

Blue seems proud to have a little sister, he's shining!

Baba on the other hand looks as if she's trying to be modest, however it's not working.

Blue and Grandpa both know how happy she is right now.

In all honesty, everyone would be able to tell.

Suddenly a loud heavy voice interrupts the family meeting!

Ohhh we finally found them, I can't believe this!

The Grandpa looks at the man that spoke.

Just like before anger takes over, the second he looked at the man the atmosphere got grim.

The owner of the heavy voice was a tall man with decent muscles.

He had a small mustache and short blonde hair.

He wore a sword and an almost casual pair of clothing to go with it, however on closer inspection you could tell they were well crafted and made for protection.

There's about 20 men following behind him.

They all have the same crest, a big golden lion with a sword in his mouth. They are clearly of a noble family.

The young man spoke in a kind manner, Ahhh ehm druid, How are you doing?

Without waiting for a response the man started talking again.

I see you've been raising these beautiful Royal Wolfs well.

Grampa was about to reply but his rage was nowhere to be seen anymore.

He spoke in a calm manner.

Thank you, after all they are very rare.

The way he said it felt incredibly cold.

The Man responded lighty, By the way, did you train them to be battle mounts? they definitely don't look like it.

He clearly looked down on the old man and was provoking him.

Grampa responded in a carefree tone, Oo but they are still young so that will happen on its own.

The man spoke and by hearing his voice it was clear that he started to get agitated. “Ohhh old man, you have something the nobles want and you don't even care for it.”

Grampa sighs softly, “if you care for something you let it live.”

The young man's face makes a complete 180.

From kind but cocky, to angry.

He looks as if he sees no worth in the life of the old man.

The man is about to speak, but just as his mouth is to make the first sound the Grampa screams at the tops of his lungs, RUNNN!

Blue and Baba look at eachother, the fear and confusion in their face is clear to see.

Baba starts running! but it's the wrong way to exit the forest!

She's running towards her nest!

The man looks frustrated and speaks, ughhh you old man, I will kill you myself.

He grabs his sword, it's strange.

How can there be such pressure from a man grabbing his sword?

The air around is cold, the atmosphere is dark.

The man starts walking towards grampa.

Every single step makes a soft ringing noise, this is power.

True power, Blue looks at him with a desperate expression.

The man doesn't even look back, he's angry. and his anger is directed towards grampa.

As grampa is almost in reach of the man's sword.

Grampa suddenly laughs, it is a cold evil laugh.

The old and weak looking grampa suddenly stood straight.

The Man said annoyed, What's so funny, old man?

Grampa replied with a grin on his face, You dare walk in Gaya's domain.

His words are spoken with absolute confidence.

In front of a Shaman?

You're a fool.

His paint starts to glow, wind blows softly as the earth trembles.

The swordsman rushes at him at speed that even Blue had trouble tracking!

Grampa looks at blue, there's not much emotion on his face to read but blue knew what he needed to do.

He needed to run!

The earth split as giant hands made out of dirt and rocks tried to grab the man.

The man somehow cut the first hand with one clean swing of his sword. It was clearly the work of an expert. With excellent footing he manages to dodge the second hand!

He leaps towards the old man with incredible speed.

Overwhelming conviction in every single muscle movement.

His sword in both of his hands ready to behead Grampa!

The sword reaches towards his throat,

A giant fire cone shoots out of Grampa's mouth.

A wave of fire that swallowed the man whole.

The sky turned red as trees fell down void of life.

Smoke everywhere, it's suffocating.

An incredibly powerful swing came out of the smoke and hit Grampa as it sent him flying.

Neither looked hurt but too bothered by the others attacks.

Blue realized it once again, he needs to run!

Now!

Every single fiber in his being told him that he had to go!

He started running with incredible speed!

His paws dug dirt and threw it in the air with every single step.

He kept on running with the wind through his hair.

He didn't look back, not a single time.

Blue kept on going, it's been hours. He has never gone this far in the forest.

The forest starts to grow less dense.

He's slowly descending the mountain he spent his entire life on.

Blue feels terrible, he slows down but he doesn't stop.

Suddenly he sees a rather big village far in the distance.

He glances over the village and estimates about 50 houses.

There's a big campfire going on and there are wooden walls surrounding the village.

The houses have pretty red roofs and are well made.

The people look happy, they are smiling and talking to each other.

He suddenly remembers what Grampa told him.

One day you will leave our little home to grow, and experience life yourself.

When you do, you will find plenty of humans, we are everywhere after all.

You should avoid them most of the time but don't be afraid to interact with them if you deem them worthy.

The problem with humans is that they are inconsistent.

Everyone is different, you will find plenty of good and bad humans.

However, what I truly wish for you.

His words so far seemed light, however his voice and manner of talking changed to a more sincere and almost heartbreaking way.

He was sharing his soul.

Nature turned quiet, all the bugs stopped crawling, birds stopped singing and the wind layed low.

I hope that you will never find someone like me again.

His face was full of pain, what did the old man do to have such sorrow.

What did he endure for him to make such an empty yet heart crushing expression.

Blue didn't quite understand what the last part meant but he did know that he was supposed to be cautious around humans.

Blue was exhausted from running all this way, he walked towards a big sturdy tree and jumped on a rather large branch.

Blue didn't look sad or angry, he was just tired.

So incredibly sleepy.

It was a long and rough day, he slowly fell asleep under the shade the big tree gave him.

What a horrible day...
