One of the guards at the walls outside the compound had been standing in the rain ever since it started, and made his way back to the guard house.
"This damn rain just won’t let up."
"Hey, your shift is not done yet."
"Hang on, I have to take a leak." The guard left, leaving his rifle. After a few minutes, he still hadn't returned, which made his partner go out and look for him.
"Krau!" The guard called out. It didn’t take long before he saw his partner near a tree with his back facing toward him. "Hey, you need someone to shake it off for yo-"
A heavy blow to the head knocked him unconscious. Luna saw the armbands on both the guard’s arms and her hands twitched uncontrollably. Both guards were already out cold, but it wasn’t enough for her. Luna repeatedly struck them again until she heard an audible crack from their skulls, then made her way towards the compound.
The heavy rain gave Luna the perfect cover while also concealing any noise she made from her takedowns. And with each hit she performed, Luna made sure she went as hard and as brutal as possible.

Aysha supervised the transport of the princess. She did the final inspection of the truck they would be riding in and made sure it had enough suppressants to keep the princess under control.
"Alright, everything looks good. The princess is on the second floor. Once the doctor finishes, gently restrain her, Gently."
The guards headed inside. The heavy rain poured down and even her umbrella started to drip. The rain also hindered her vision as it was hard to see anything, but she still needed to check on the transfer of the chemicals, so she made her way to the other building.
As she made her way to the chemical storage, something felt wrong. No one was outside by the trucks transferring chemicals and the guards were not at their posts. Aysha slowly made her way up the ramp to check why they stopped when, from the inside of the building, she heard a scream. She hoped it was the pale-faced bounty hunter. Maybe she could ask her for help.
I can cover myself and it won’t be my fault. I helped them get the princess; it’s not my fault what happened after that.
She made her way slowly as it was pitch black inside, but when lightning lit up the sky it was…
Who is that?!
The intruder wore a horned skull mask, and it executed the guards. Aysha watched as the masked intruder slammed a guard's head against a steel pillar while another guard was struck with a metal pole to the head. Aysha quickly hid behind a tall wall and prayed that it didn’t find her. She counted for a good full minute and checked again to find that the assailant was gone and no doubt moving into the main building. Once it was clear, she made her way to the nearest alarm and alerted the entire compound.
Sirens blared, and the guards scrambled to the main building. The golems mobilized and scoured the base for the intruder. Walkers and the tanks set up a perimeter around the main building with their weapons and cannons fully armed and ready to fire.

Luna handled the infantry with ease. The loud siren blasted all around her, but she did not care. Taking the grenades from the guards she subdued, Luna targeted the trucks and destroyed a good few. But when golems picked up on her location, that’s when the fight changed dramatically.
Decimator class golems are massive mechanical constructs designed to give and take immense amounts of firepower. Right now, Luna was facing two of them. Armed with cannons, flamers, massive halberds, and swords, it would take tanks or two full squadrons to even damage its thick armored plating. They were powerful but slow, and it was easy to dodge them, but walkers and more infantry guards arrived to fight.
Wake up! You are not a hero Luna!
Ada’s words repeated in her mind as she desperately tried to find cover. A golem saw where she hid and, armed with its halberd, swung and struck her cover, destroying it completely and sending Luna flying into the air and into a chemical vat filled with yellow liquid.
"Careful that liquid is explosive!" Someone yelled out as the guards and walkers moved in around her.
Inside the vat, Luna drowned.
From the taste alone, she knew it was...
No! No! No!
It was venom. Unmistakable venom and the scouring sour liquid drowned her and caused her to flail even more. She couldn’t even breathe through the mask as she was forced to drink the serum, and in seconds she could feel her consciousness slipping. Luna thrashed and struggled, but she could not swim as the weight of her metal bones dragged her down and the serum started to take over.

Ada had managed to sneak in behind the guards and watch all this unfold. When she saw Luna go into the vat of chemicals but not come out, she hijacked the body of a golem and charged towards it. The guards and walkers ran out of the way as Ada sped up and slammed the chemical vat, breaking it open and causing the liquid to burst out in all directions. The moment the chemical drained, Luna, who was absolutely drunk on the venom, went berserk.
She annihilated whatever was in front of her. The guards reacted by opening fire, but the bullets simply bounced off her skin. As she roared and ran towards the retreating guards, she viciously ripped dozens of them in half. Walkers and golems opened fire, but even high explosives couldn't stop her. All it did was enrage Luna, who leapt up on a walker, ripped open its plating, and viciously mauled the pilot inside with her bare hands.
Luna's inhuman speed and strength allowed her to quickly clean the compound, leaving a trail of dismembered corpses and scrap metal in her wake. Luna would catch and kill them no matter how fast they tried to flee. A golem attempted to stop her, but she simply picked up a destroyed walker and hurled it at the mechanical giant. Luna ripped the golem's cannons off and used them as a club to flatten anything that moved.
The remaining guards strengthened their position at the main building. They set up gattling cannons and tanks while the walkers and the guards created a firing line. They held their ground as they listened to the screams all around them slowly vanish. The heavy rain blocked their vision and they did not know where the masked murderer would come out.
"There! Open fire!"
Walkers and golems spewed out liquid fire, while every cannon and gun was fired directly at Luna, but nothing worked. She was too fast to hit, and the moment she got close to the guards, what happened next was a full-bloody massacre.
All the guards could do was panic as the masked assailant ripped them apart with its hands. Luna lifted a truck full of explosives and hurled it straight at the walkers and tanks, causing a massive explosion that rocked the entire compound. Luna ripped the tank's cannons clean off and swung it around wildly, hammering down on the guards and automatons before using it against the golems.
Luna was thorough, and by the time she finished, no truck or tank was left unturned, and every single living thing around her was either dying or dead. Luna’s skin hissed with heat and bright red; her clothes were soaked in blood, oil, and dust as she sought out anything she could kill or violently rip apart. She saw someone running into a building, and she roared as she ran after them.
