Amar Sin walked into the main lobby of the castle and confronted a passing maid. The maid was in shock, not from being grabbed by surprise, but because the man who did it was exceptionally handsome. He had sharp, crimson eyes, his skin was pale, almost translucent, and his hair was long and silver.
His dried out skin and wild hair were long gone, as the power of the blood revitalized him to a new level. Even the way he walked was filled with strength and confidence. After telling him where he needed to go, the maid felt her face grow warm at the thought of being next to such a great looking man.
When he walked into the throne room, he saw Lilith standing at the table located on the second floor of the room. Behind the throne were two staircases, one leading left, the other leading right. They connected above the throne and had a little balcony which overlooked the room. On the second floor was the table in question which also had several other Demons sitting at it.
One would have a hard time making sure Lilith was actually a Demon. She was created to be Adam’s first wife, after all. But her desire to be free and unrestrained had her cast away into the Demon Realm. Unfortunately, she started off weak and so wasn’t all that strong. But being around a long time allowed for many connections to be built. She saw Families fall and Clans crumble. Who knows how much more she would see.
She was as beautiful as always. She wasn’t overly tall, but she definitely wasn’t short. Maybe it was the heels. She had a tight fitting silk dress that seemed to change colors on a whim. One second it was black, the next it was red. Soon, it would change to green. Her hair was jet black and there were no blemishes to be found on her face.
She had a bag resting on her hip, attached to a belt that accented her curves all the better. Seeing the silver haired man walk in, her face took on a change as the once oppressive atmosphere turned brighter.
She openly smiled and welcomed the man inside. But she was surprised when he bowed. She could feel his power. It was hard for her to kick out the man who just strolled in, as he was clearly at the peak of the Sovereign Level! But to see him lower himself to her? What was the meaning of this?
“Mistress, it is I, Amar Sin.”
What?! Lilith was floored! Well, she would have been, if not for the fact she was leaning on the balcony railing. What had happened on this outing? She had thought Amar Sin was dead!
“Where were you?”
“Slito Town. I left around 25 hours ago, Mistress.”
He still didn’t get up. He was capable enough to pretty much destroy the entire castle, if he wanted to! Things were beginning to get awkward.
“You can stand, Amar Sin. I can’t make you do anything now, anyway.”
“I unfortunately could not bring the boy named Melakios with me, but he did send an apology.”
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“All I said was to make sure he was safe. There was no need to go any further.”
Almost like he ignored her, which ticked Lilith off even though she said he could pretty much do whatever, he reached into his chest pocket and pulled out the whip. The other Demons who were there all clamored to see what was going on.
Amar Sin slowly walked up the stairway, looking directly into Lilith’s eyes. She felt too embarrassed to return his gaze. When he stood right in front of her, she reached out slowly. But Amar Sin grabbed her hand gently and placed the whip directly into her grasp. Her heart quickened at the contact, but the feeling was gone all too soon as the Blood Sovereign backed away.
His scarlet red suit went well with the silver hair flowing around his shoulders. He gave his farewells and departed, leaving Lilith to feel a multitude of emotions she had never felt before.
She was pretty sure it was Lust, right? But she usually caused others to feel that way. Maybe Envy? She did want to be stronger, but no. Pride? Hmph. A Demon mostly has no need for Pride. What was this feeling?
Amar Sin walked to his sleeping quarters and laid down on his bed. He went over all the things he experienced these past couple of days and realized what he must do. Get stronger for Lilith’s sake. Ever since he first arrived in the Demon Realm, Lilith took care of him. She taught him fight techniques, kill techniques, scare tactics, and even how to eat properly.
One too many accidents and almost no new servants wanting to work.
Most Demons gave him a hard time as an exhuman. But Lilith just smiled and kept helping him. And today, she seemed even more attractive than normal. He was definitely infatuated, but noticed how weak she actually was. He decided to protect her from the shadows. In order to protect her, he needed to get stronger.
The words Melakios had said rang through his head many times that night before he finally fell asleep.
The next morning, the servants were already discussing the new hunk that Lilith brought in. But the only servant to have actually seen his appearance, Warren, was going to feed the troublesome flesh eater that had finally come back. She hadn’t been here long, but she heard rumors of the man. He was wild and crazy, he would sooner eat you than look at you, and he might even leave you alive to make you suffer.
But she walked down the hall paying less attention to her surroundings and more towards her fantasies. She was thinking of the handsome man that grabbed her out of nowhere. She was just about at the door where the flesh eater rested when the door abruptly opened and the figure exiting the immediately took a sharp turn, smashing into Warren. The contents of the breakfast sloshed all over the place and landed on the person before her.
Standing there, drenched in breakfast soup, was none other than the flesh eater who was the exact same person as the handsome man!
