The year was several centuries before the birth of Christ. Four centuries with fifteen years added, to be precise. The location was in a city that was taken three years prior in the Peloponnesian war. Now a part of Athens, Mantinea was growing. In the estate towards the outskirts of the city, two young adults were about to become parents.
The soon-to-be Father was pacing in the hall outside the room where the soon-to-be Mother was screaming her lungs out. The old wet nurse tried all she could to help the servants calm her down. After many grueling hours, the child was born.
There were no signs, no omens, and definitely no prophecies foretelling this child’s birth. But needless to say, he would have an effect upon the many Realms.
For he was a soulless demon. The Father rushed in to see a demon baby in the hands of the old wet nurse Agatha and started to yell. Startled, the Mother saw the problem and she too, started to scream. The Father rushed to kill the baby, but soon found himself on the floor, still. Agatha was shocked, for the child had glowed when the Father reached out to him.
Agatha did not know why she ran with the child that night, but she soon found herself halfway between Mantinea and Argos when out of the blue, a door appeared. Agatha quickly realized that this may be her final day. The door opened to reveal a flash of light which caused poor Agatha to fall unconscious. When she awoke, the door was gone, as well as the child.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
For some reason she was sad. Probably even sadder than when she later found out Athens failed to invade Sicily.
----------------------------------------
Somewhere in the Demon Realm, a door closed behind a tall figure carrying a baby. This tall figure stood at six and a half feet tall (≈2 meters) with curved antlers instead of horns, the antlers branching like a tree, and grey hair the color of dust.
“The humans called you ‘evil’, but you don’t have a speck of malevolence within you. You were just born! How could you be anything but pure? They call you demon, pah! You are just as human as them. You just had the unlucky occurrence of being born soulless. But the demons will welcome you. We have many here who can teach you your new found power, little one.
Hmm…let us use your parents’ language. How about Melakios? A dark evil, hmm? Hahaha! I cannot wait to show Master Eligor!”
And so begins a new story, filled with adventure, growth, Nokia jokes, and much more!
