Walking to the edge of this ruined throne room, I looked outside the walls. A massive forest had overtaken the rest of the ruins here, with some walls in the distance, but they were also crumbling and falling.
Wondering how to use the survival skill, my sight was filled with small icons, representing the trees and pathways. As I focused on one of the trees, more information was provided showing that the bark was edible, if you cooked it properly, but provided almost no substance and could cause other issues. What I could see showed no signs of life to track and while I could build something from the tree, it would have to be in pieces or broken-down branches to be useful now.
What I did notice is an icon flashing that had a water symbol on it. Focusing on that, my hearing filtered out any sounds beyond that of a small stream of running water somewhere. Turning around while continuing to listen, gave me an indication that water was somewhere off to my right.
At least the survival skill also helped me walk that direction quietly. Not like I was stealthy, but at least I wasn’t stomping around or breaking every branch and twig I ran across.
A small clearing around some old structure was my destination. I could see the small stream of water running by it. As I bent down to the clear water, my survival skill once again flashed a warning. Focusing on it, it notified me that the water could have impurities and infected nanites in it and warned me to purify it. I even had some clue about how to do that, if I had any supplies on my person and wasn’t completely naked.

“What do you think?”
Waiting for a full minute by the clock on my CAD and still having no response was irritating.
“Hello? Where are you, you stupid machine?”
I tapped and swiped at the CAD screen with no effect.
Oh well, I was told to find water, and I did, and now I was thirsty, so I bent down and cupped some water in my hand and drank it. As the first thing I tasted, it was nice. There was some slight aftertaste, but it was almost sweet. Since I didn’t fall over immediately, and no more warning signs were flashing, I laid down and put my mouth into the water and drank deeply.
Once I felt full, I stopped and looked closer at the structure I was next to. The building had fallen, but the walls and roof appeared to leave a triangle shape open and the vines from the trees around it had covered the entrance enough to make a nice cave.
Pulling back on the vines, the floor appeared to be in decent shape, and it looked like I could at least escape any element issue here and hide. I didn’t have any food, but that didn’t seem to be an alert so far and with the water and a roof, everything felt just tired. Slipping in between the vines further into the space, I found a nice section to lay down and sleep.
