Chapter 10 – Opportunity
“Eh…..sorry about that.” The mysterious youth stands up from Caulfield’s face and bashfully apologize toward him. With the youth’s clothing, everyone would think him as an ordinary teenager.
“..........”
It seems this event had carved a deep scar in Caulfield’s heart. Well, regarding butt of course.
“E-erm….then I'll be on my way.” The mysterious youth said toward Caulfield while lightly bow and walk away slowly while nudging his stomach.
“YOU!!!” Suddenly like a volcano suddenly erupted, Caulfield used his highest speed and sped towards the mysterious youth while releasing all of his energy! In a flash, he unsheathed his sword from the back and slash towards the mysterious youth with all his might!
“SKY FLAME ILLUSIONING SLASH!!!” He gathered all his rage into his slash! The martial technique that he used is the one that he had mastered all over his life as a cultivator. Adding a fact that he is a genius in his school, this kind of attack shouldn’t be look down upon!
Both Jinka and Yulua can only watch the scene with pity. It is the mysterious youth’s own bad luck to fall above this arrogant youth. But they also felt grateful for his action because it let them to vent some of their frustration. Nevertheless, they would also have to receive some backlash from this event. With Caulfield’s mood after this, they probably would even be crippled by him!
But then, the next moment had even stupefied them completely!
Without even turning back, the mysterious youth actually catch Caulfield’s sword with his finger! There is no trace of flaw in his movement at all. His movement is too precise and perfect!
All of the spectators are confused and can’t help but to be dumbfounded by this mysterious youth.
“..........”
This had caused another moment of silence!
Then the mysterious youth turn his head and look toward Caulfield! His eye doesn't hold any vigilance or anger towards Caulfield and only smile lightly.
“Well, I'm sorry about my previous rudeness, but do you still need to attack me?” He said it casually while twirling his messy green hair. Then with only a flick he break Caulfield’s sword! Even though the sword is not made from a high-grade ores, it is still not easy to break it with just a flick!
“Y-you!?” Caulfield suddenly sense an immense danger coming toward him and immediately withdraw himself! He felt if he stayed for another moment, his head would instantly been cut off!
“You know, it is pretty cowardly to attack someone from behind. Can’t you just give me a hint first before attacking?” The mysterious youth said it while smiling and wave his hand to release the waste of Caulfield’s sword. His smile is actually very humble and friendly without any hint of arrogance!
When Jinka and Yulua saw this, then both of them are in awe! Because this kind of demeanor can only be done by someone who has high ability!
“W-who are you….?” Gathering all his courage, Caulfield said toward the mysterious youth. Even both of his knees are trembling in front of this youth! Because being in front of him is like confronting with a primordial beast!
“Hm? Well just a normal passer-by. You can call me Hira.” Hira said it with a friendly tone while smiling toward Caulfield.
“Then….which schools are you from?” When Caulfield saw Hira’s smile, he actually felt a sense of friendliness and can't help to let his guard down.
“Schools? Erm, I'm actually from another kingdom. I was traveling when a sudden force threw me here. I guess I can only blame my luck, haha.” With a confused expression, he said it toward Caulfield. Hira is actually thrown out from Augustur’s legacy realm by it's guardian, the old man.
“I see, then nice to meet you senior Hira. I am called Caulfield and all of us here are in a small dispute. Even though it is nice meeting you, I hope you will not involve yourself with this lowly dispute.” Caulfield said toward Hira with a humble tone while lightly cupped his hand. His character takes a complete turn and become a very humble person.
This guy is a pretty malicious person. But his action is actually very reasonable. Just who would become arrogant enough in front of someone who can break a sword with a flick? Even though normally Caulfield won't change just because a stronger person is in front of him, he actually can't verify Hira’s realm! This usually happen when one has a realm difference between cultivators. Obviously Caulfield had took a notice of this and immediately become careful.
“Oh no worries, no worries. Then I'll leave now. And nice meeting you guys.” Hira then lightly cupped his hand towards all the other youth and walk leisurely. But before leaving, he said a sentence that made Caulfield’s body tremble.
“By the way, it is better not to rob people who weaker than you. I pretty hate that stuff.” While lightly waving his hand, his legs suddenly move in a bizarre way and gone in an instant.
Unexpectedly, Caulfield is actually blasted away by an unforeseen pressure! After crashing onto a tree, he spat a mouthful of blood and his expression become dreadful. His eyes become dimmed and there’s no light in his eyes anymore!
“Thank you….for your pointer…..” While slowly muttering, he immediately became grateful that Hira doesn't cripple him. When he collided with the pressure, he already knew the gap between him and Hira! With just a wave of hand, Hira might even be able to kill him! This had caused his mind to be filled with fear and despair.
Watching this scene, both Jinka and Yulua are filled with a sense of happiness and gratefulness. Hira’s impression toward them had increased into a divine figure in their heart!
While slowly standing up with his friends support, Caulfield heart sank and he has entered a state of enlightenment by meeting with Hira. His arrogance demeanor had drastically decreased!
“So this is what it means to be a frog in well….”

When Hira arrive at Avarganda kingdom, he is stupefied by the size and luxury of this Kingdom! Even though he is in front of the north gate Avarganda, this isn't the only north gate Avarganda had. Each of north, south, east and west of the kingdom has four gates that protect every outer wall of the kingdom.
And only one of the north gate already this large! It can even let a giant lifeforms enter this kingdom easily!
Did they have to build the gate this large? Even ten thousands of human can be forced into this gate!
“What do you expect? It is the wealthiest kingdom in Ilsiya. Of course they want to show some might with their wealth.” Suddenly a hoarse voice emit from Hira’s mind. Surprisingly, this voice belongs to the old man who had guard the legacy realm for a long time!
After the 4 years slumber, Hira had slowly awaken from his long sleep but not at the arena, instead at the first place he arrived, in front of the ancient building.
After waking up, his demeanor had completely changed from a carefree child to an aloof adult! Even though at outside he looks like an irresponsible and lazy teenager, deep inside his mind is a calm-calculating person and will be very terrifying when provoked. He’s like a bee hives which will immediately retaliate if being attacked.
Then he inquires the old man about his slumber, but even the old man seems to be confused by it. He never thought Augustur would let Hira to be in slumber for a long time. But the old man didn’t mind it and tell Hira that every matter that Augustur done will only benefit him and not harm him.
Then after some chat with the old man, Hira realize that in his body, there is some hidden energy surging inside of him! This energy let Hira to store item inside his body. This is one of the common Spatial element skill, Exclusive Dimension! After refining all the memories from Augustur, Hira understanding about element had increased by leaps! With this skill, it will help Hira to release some of his burden.
Then he stored every item he had into his body and ask the old man for a change of cloth. Initially, the old man want to give Hira a pure black robe, but Hira immediately reject it. Because the black robe is too suspicious and will let people be on guard with him. The old man can only comply with Hira and give him a set of ordinary leather cloth.
“Yes yes, but seriously Night old man, do you had to throw me out like that? My butt really hurt you know…..” Hira complains while rubbing his butt with sulking expression on his face.
Hira had learned the old man's name after some chat with him while eating some meals to satisfy his hunger. Hira had asked a lot of thing from the old man about his origin. But the old man just answered him with a vague answer. This had caused Hira to inquire him again and again while eating his meal and the old man becomes too annoyed with him and kick him out from the realm.
“You damned kid! It is your fault to initiate this old man's anger! Suit yourself!” The old man shouted loudly inside Hira’s mind and a stabbing pain appears in his head. Then the old man suddenly departed. Hira can only endure this pain with his own mental energy.
Argh, you old dog! Do you really have to release your law energy inside my mind! Damn, it hurts like crazy!
After composing his mind, Hira walk slowly toward the north gate of Avarganda. Then he saw a long line of people who want to enter the kingdom and can only sigh with reservation.
First the old man, now it came to this. Aiya, why am I lucked out after sleeping…
Without any supporter or rank in the kingdom, Hira can only wait at the long line and mind his luck. For such a huge kingdom as Avarganda, there would obviously be a humongous amount of visitors.
Should I demonstrate some of my strength and force myself into this kingdom? Hira’s first motive for entering this kingdom is too searched some information about his clan. For his revenge, he has to prepare some matters before striking toward the enemy. He doesn't even know any origin of his enemy. So after some discussion with the Night old man, he recommends Hira to enter Avarganda kingdom and learn a few information about the faction ranking. Because Avarganda is one of the biggest kingdoms, it is also one of the most resourceful kingdoms. So there is a lot of benefit for Hira to live in this kingdom for a while. Hira obviously wouldn’t be locked down in this kingdom or continent. He would rise and will achieve his dream to reach the real pinnacle.
“Our clan is one of the top clan of this continent!”
Elder Ju’s speech has replayed for countless time in Hira’s mind. This is the only information he can relied on! Even though it is miniscule, it is the most important information that Hira can refer too!
And for this, he had to keep a low profile for himself. This will help him to avoid attention from the higher faction in the kingdom. He immediately push aside of demonstrating his strength.
*Sigh*
Seems I can only succumb to my fate today…

Then suddenly from behind, a people cheers suddenly erupted. This commotion had caused Hira to turn his head. He looks at the luxury carriage that is pulled by two jade green horses with turquoise mane on their neck. The carriage is decorated by a lot of silver and jade giving it a lavish look.
The carriage then passes Hira and move toward the gate’s guard. After some discussion with a butler-like-person, the guard pulled out a golden radiating horn from his sack and blew it. A thunderous sound comes out and the gate suddenly trembles. For the people in the line, there is a small door for them to enter, but this carriage owner seems to be a very high-ranked person!

For even the Avarganda kingdom to open their humongous gate, only to let this carriage enter! The person inside the carriage probably someone from a royalty or a high-noble! This event caused the people from the sidelines to feel in awe and veneration.
But for Hira?
This is probably the best moment for him to enter the kingdom!
Chapter 11 – Problem Sure Arrive Fast ain’t it?
The gear and machinery of the gate are rumbling emitting a sound of giant's steps. This sound made all mortal’s heart tremble and shaken! When they saw the gate open, they can only felt admiration towards Avarganda kingdom! Just what kind of artisan did they hire to build this gate!? The root of Avarganda is truly deeps, because their history had run for about three thousands of years! This is much longer then the life of Night old man! But the world is big, and Avarganda is not the only kingdom who has been built for three thousands of years. There probably even much bigger kingdom then Avargandia somewhere in this world!
After the gate is completely opened, the mortals are in awe. Because the design of the gate is truly breathtaking and beautiful! The inner side of the gate is not carve or decorated like the outer gate, but it is completely painted! The painting shows the landscape outside of Avarganda. It is painted with beautiful and soft color. But Hira immediately shocked when the sight of the gate caught in his eyes.
He can actually felt a hint of law energy in the painting!
This…..is it the Law of Flux? No…. it also emits a vibe of the Law of Charm! Just who made this painting? To apply a multiple different law in a painting, the artist should be at least a peak-Nirvana realm cultivator! There also a possibility of a Sovereign realm cultivator….
The gate probably had been painted for a long time. Maybe at ancient times, there is a Sovereign realm cultivator in Ilsiya….
Law energy is the power and the will of the world that can be comprehended by the mortals. When one can even comprehend a tiny bit of a law, they can use the law energy as they wish. There is a limitless amount of law in every realm and it is impossible for a cultivator to reach the Nirvana realm without comprehending any of the law, this is why a Nirvana realm cultivator will acquire the ability of Will after achieving this realm. Without any law, their cultivation will be at a stagnant state at the peak-Perfect realm. And most of the law is very difficult to be comprehended. This is the knowledge that Hira got in Augustur’s memories.
“Hah, just a few law in a painting? What so amazing about it?” The Night old man voice sounded inside Hira’s mind. His voice contains a tone of disdain without any regards towards this painting.
“Well I know you're awesome, but this is the first time I saw a multiple application of law energy in front of me. How can I not be excited?” Hira said it with a joy expression on his face. Even though the old man occasionally used his law energy in front of Hira, he would only use one type of law.
Even right now, Hira had only comprehends four type of law, the Law of Fire, the Law of Water, the Law of Wind and the Law of Earth. And he still can't fuse any of his law. Even though he had gain a tiny understanding about the Law of Space, he can only use it in limited way. Nevertheless, Hira had also gain some understanding to a few type of law in Augustur memories.
“Hmph, at the old days, I can even…” The old man starts to prattle about his old time. Hira had already accustomed himself with this.
“Whatever you say old man, but right now I can't miss this opportunity. So can you continue your story after this?” Hira can only beg the old man to stop his reminiscences while smiling wryly.
“I'll make sure you listen to my stories after this!” Even the old man knew this opportunity is pretty important for Hira.
Hearing this, Hira can only give up and prepares himself for the aftermath. Then he stared at the gate while watching it intensely. Because the Law of Flux is one of the laws that Hira has a tiny understanding about! But he can only sigh with frustration.
If just I can watch it for a little bit more time, I would probably be enlightened by some hint of the law. But oh well, entering the kingdom is the priority right now and I can just watch it after I entered the kingdom.
After some contemplating, Hira move to the side and leave the line. Most of the sideliner watched him with a bewildered expression.
Just what the heck is this kid doing? Giving up?
Oh well, another low spirit kid. Psh, trash.
Heheheh, what luck is this! Now with one less people it will at least help me to arrive faster.
A lot of people had different idea when they saw Hira’s behavior. Then Hira move toward the back to create a feint. After reaching the end of line he immediately uses his Hidden Summer Sea Step to leave the area and his figure smoothly gone creating an illusion of white mist.
After he is back at the previous location, he went to the side of Avarganda north gate. This place is completely silent. There is no guard at this place because it is useless to be guarding here. The outer wall can't be climb by any ordinary mortals or even a cultivator. Only someone who has the ability to fly would be able to reach the top of the wall. The wall height had reached more than 500 meter and it is obviously impossible to be climbed.
But for Hira, it is not impossible. Probably a piece of cake for him.
“Hm, well there should be some people guarding at the top of the wall. But most of the attention right now should be at the gate. If there any miscalculation I can just avoid it with my sense.” While casually said that, he used his feet and tap the ground three times.
“Let's do this then.” Suddenly both of his feet are covered with green glow. Below his feet, a sprout of small vines grew and tied itself to Hira’s feet. Surprisingly, his feet seem to be one with the earth and become intact with the ground. He hops to the wall and leisurely walk along the wall! The small vines continue to sprout below his feet and tied it self.
This is the Law of Earth!
While walking slowly, Hira increase his sense to scout for any lifeforms above the wall. If a guard saw him, he would probably be assumes as an enemy! After completing the scan, he doesn't found anyone above and instantly increase his speed towards the top.
In just a few minutes, he arrived at the top of the wall. Then he scout the area again to confirm it safety. There is two outposts at the top of the wall, one at the left, and the other one is at the right himself. He immediately covered both outposts with his sense and found two lifeforms at the right side while none at the left side.
“Aiya, it is truly a good luck that both of them are resting.” But before he walked to the left side, he suddenly sensed a change on the ground. After executing the Law of Earth, he can sense any movement on the ground 200 meter from himself.
This sudden discovery had caused him to immediately be on guard! For a lifeform to avoid his sense, it should probably be someone who is a higher realm than him, or someone who is specialized in concealing art.
Who? An intruder?
For a person to be able to climb this wall, it should be someone who had comprehends at least one type of law. And the type of law should be related to a concealment type of law!
Even though there is a possibility of a Nirvana realm cultivator appearing, because they can fly passes this wall. But Hira discarded that thought. Because for a Nirvana realm to do this kind of discrete movement?
Impossible.
Nirvana realm is the pinnacle in Ilsiya, why the hell should they intrude in such a way? Hira then move to the left side slowly while concealing the sound of his steps. The unknown movement he sense with the Law of Earth is located at the right outpost. He doesn't want to get involved in any conflict or else he will pay for it.
After arriving in the right outpost, he then hides himself in it. Using the Earth Law, he leisurely inspects the unknown movement. Both of the guard is probably be drugged because Hira can still sense their life essence. Suddenly, the person inside the right outpost came out!
That unexpected, this person is a woman….
The woman wore a black-grey robe with a hoodie hiding her face. Even though it is hard to determine the gender of this person with that kind of appearance, Hira can tell it with his sense. Hira had learned a technique from Augustur’s memories to sense for life essence that is inside of every living being. This technique is called Mind’s Eye and Augustur got this ancient technique in one of his adventures. Hira can differentiate between male and female by the amount of yin and yang aura in their life essences. For a female, their yin aura is usually much higher than the yang while for a male yang aura is much higher than the yin.
But, for someone to be able to conceal their life essence, they must have comprehends a concealment type of law or the Law of Life itself. Hira assume that this woman should probably have comprehended a concealment type of law, because the minimum requirement to comprehend a tiny part of the Law of Life is to be at least in Sovereign realm. This is because the Law of Life is one of the difficult laws to be comprehended! Just like the Law of Space.
Even though Hira’s comprehension talent is very high, it is still hard for him to comprehend the Law of Space.
This woman…..she is a mid-Perfect realm. For this kingdom, that kind of realm will be revered by other mortals. Well for now let's just avoid any contact with her.
“The carriage….” The woman muttered slowly while searching for something below the inner side of the wall.
Carriage? With Hira’s Law of Wind, he can grasp other's voice easily.
Is she an assassin? Just who the hell is in that carriage? A royalty? A noble?
Oh well, good luck whoever you are. I'll just hope that you survive. But with this level of assassin….?
I take that back. You probably don’t has any chance to live. Hira snicker while thinking about this.
Hira is not a hero or a justice pursuer. Would he risk himself to save some stranger?
Obviously not.
He doesn't even have achieves his revenge and this kind of matter always happen in every kingdom, so he just brush it off.
The woman finally caught the sight of the carriage and frown when she saw the carriage is at the north gate. She still complementing of how she can reach the carriage.
“............... “
After a minute of silence, her hands suddenly move at the mid-air and smoothly drawing a pattern. Her pointed finger emits a purple glow while drawing the pattern and slowly, the pattern that she drawn combines with the other pattern.
An array? What is she planning? Hira is weirded out by the woman's action. If she has a concealment type of law, isn't it easy for her to finish whoever it is in the carriage? Why does she make it harder for her? Is she a masochist or what?
An array takes much more time to deploy and it usually used a lot of energy to be activated. Still, the effect of an array is enormous and sometimes catastrophic. That is why array is occasionally used by a large clan as a defense system for an emergency situation.
But the woman's array is very simple and small. Hira had only a general knowledge about array and not an expert about it. And he isn't really interested in array because it usually takes a few people to activate a powerful array. A single person can only activate a simple array and not really useful.
Just what kind of array does this woman created?
After completing the array, the woman channels her energy towards the array and began activating it. Suddenly, the small pebbles around her start to float slowly.
Hira immediately stunned by her and realized something!
This…..!
Without any hesitation, he immediately went outside of the outpost and jump towards the inner side of wall.
*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*
A few round of explosion erupted at the location of the woman!
After landing at the ground, Hira turn his head and look at the explosion with a complex emotion!
That woman…… she self-destructed herself!?
