‘I would have, for sure, asked for hard cash but I got this stupid notification.’
[Ask for Arthur.
Reward: 500 WC]
‘Wow, taking Arthur is worth a commoner huh? What’s special about this guy? I never seen him before in the game.’
‘System, what kind of quests will be issued from now on?’
[Quests that are dangerous but help the world survive]
‘No way, I’m not playing the main role for sure, especially when my peers are far ahead than me.’
A young, lean man with blonde hair and green eyes wearing white armor appeared. Arthur is the son of the captain guard in the Viscount Highlander household.
‘Status’
[Arthur (17):
Alignment: Lawful Good
Strength: 40
Endurance: 35
Agility: 35
Intelligence: 15
Wisdom: 15
Luck: -10
Potential: A-]
‘Damn, this lucky brat. How does he have more stats more than my previous possession? But what’s with the negative luck?’
‘Check Unique Skills’
Unique Skills:
[Curse Of The Wicked][Bloodline]: With great power comes great difficulties. His ancestors challenged the god and was exiled.
‘No wonder.. He died early because of his Luck status or else, he would have been included as an extra in the game with his looks and stats.’
“Come here, Arthur.”
“Yes, young master. You called me?” asked the knight humbly.
“Yes, we need some things and some places to go.”
Arthur awkwardly looked at his legs. Jack knew what he was thinking, but he understood him since, in a world with brute power, such an injury is unacceptable. Weakness is a sin here.
But Jack needs to fix Arthur first to get a loyal bodyguard. There is a trick for everything, even for this bloodline. In fact, this bloodline cannot be said to be rare. Jack encountered this bloodline several times during the game, and the solution isn’t hard to find but simply expensive.
One of the main characters teammates, an alchemist, found a solution for her young brother. The only problem is that the materials can be bought in the game store.. But here, it needs to be bought, but Jack’s father is too stringent.
‘Thankfully, I heard many dungeons in my time in the tavern. Time to make use of those drunk adventurer’s knowledge.’

“Young master, is it really required to go to the evergreen forest?” said Arthur as they both arrived in front of a huge forest. Trees with a length of several dozen meters creepily all green and swaying with the wind.
Arthur hesitantly looked back to the carriage that’s already quickly leaving.
This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.
“Don’t worry, Arthur,” patted Jack. “I know what I am doing; trust me," said Jack as he limped slowly to the forest.
Arthur lost trust even more after seeing this, but thinking about the scolding he would get from his father if the young master got injured, he ran quickly to his young master.
“Young master, I heard a lot of bad things about the forest. All kinds of ghost stories and even devil worshipping!"
“You’re afraid of ghosts, is that it?” chuckled Jack.
After that, suddenly a tree fell, not on Jack at all but rather on Arthur. Arthur coughed and cleared the dust after nearly getting killed.
“Damn it, we might die before we reach even. Come fast!" shouted Jack, although he too coughed as a result of his weak constitution.
‘No time is better than the present; you might as well invest stats now. System, what’s the ratio of World Crystals to stats?’
[100:1]
‘Add all World Crystals to Intelligence’
Jack stopped and suddenly felt a calm, warm force travelling through his entire body, gradually giving him more mana capacity to absorb and removing all past fatigue. Jack thought to himself, ‘Nice, it’s important to store World Crystals in future to clear fatigue by investing in stats.’

“Young master, how much more to walk? We already walked for 2 hours and even got attacked by stray monsters. It’s getting dark too, with all due respect, we should retreat and come back tomorrow," tiredly said Arthur.
“Just a moment, almost reached," said Jack. Jack remembered listening to his drunk friend, Joe, tell him that the Viscount was an idiot for leaving such an obvious treasure nearby in an evergreen forest, and looking back, it’s probably his current family.
“Let me see.. What did he tell me? Look at the sunset while facing its north, and you will find a shining surface on an ordinary evergreen tree.” muttered Jack calmly.
Jack finally found it. He slowly walked to the tree and said, “Arthur, stab your sword in this shiny area with your entire force.
Arthur was already confused and fed up with his young master, but he had no choice but to comply.
“Well, look at that." Suddenly, the entire outer bark vanished, leaving an entrance to an unknown sight. “Let’s go, fella,” said Jack.
“Young master, is this a dungeon?” asked Arthur dumbly while holding a brightly lit torch in his hand.
"Yes, and an undiscovered one. We hit the jackpot really!” said Jack sarcastically while walking down the stairs.
“Well, here we are. Listen carefully, Arthur. The dungeon is not easy.. And has a lot of traps, but don’t worry. I will show you the smart way to solve this.” Jack said this before he randomly touched a few bricks and calmly walked into them.
“Arthur, give me your sword for a moment."
Jack skillfully used the sword and slashed the demon-faced gargoyle. The gargoyle fell and revealed inside was an old script.
Jack quickly went through it and gave it to Arthur
“Young master, is this.. A skillbook?? I think I gained a magic skill.” said Arthur before he showed it off by firing several magic bullets from his hand.
Jack nodded in approval. Although Jack was slightly envious, he knew he couldn’t have it because of his weakness—magic instability—even though, ironically, magic was his strong point in his past possession.
While Jack’s previous possession wasn’t the strongest or anywhere close to one of the strongest, he certainly was above-average and can be considered a B-Rank warrior. Although now.. He’s state is rather pitiful now,.
Finally, Jack and Arthur reached the end point of the narrow hallway, which seemed to be a dead end. Arthur, without asking, suddenly slashed his sword magic against the wall; it surprisingly broke while Jack was still contemplating how to open it.
Jack said calmly while dusting his clothes, “We have finally reached the end destination, the boss room. Now, as far as I know, the boss is a monster of the ice type. It’s a C-Class monster that can be defeated by us, although slightly hard.”
Arthur was speechless. As far as he knew, his teacher told him he could only defeat a D-Class monster, and that too, with a team of five of similar level, but Arthur is different now.. He trusts his young master, especially after absurdly finding a dungeon out of nowhere.
“Listen up, Arthur. All you need to do is distract him with your swordsmanship while I use magic. I know you did not see me before using magic, but trust me," exhaled Jack.
Arthur quickly pushed the big gates of the boss room and ran to use his sword magic against the ice creature, a frost salamander, while Jack leaned against the wall and was chanting the syllabus.
Arthur launched a series of strikes against the frost salamander, although there was no damage, unsurprisingly.
Suddenly, Jack shouted, “Arthur, bend down."
‘Forbidden Spell: Black Flame’
Jack used a huge black fireball spell on the frost salamander. It started screaming and moved randomly.
Arthur skillfully dodged and continued attacking the discussed weak point, the tail.
While coughing up blood, Jack weirdly sheathed out his sword and held it with absolute focus.
‘Time dilation!’
Jack threw his sword at what seemed extraordinary quickness to others but was a mere 0.3 seconds slowness.
-Clang!
The sword pierced deeply in the frost salamander’s right eye, and the rest.. Is history.
