Please, My wand

Riddle didn't sleep a wink the entire night, having his wand at Morsia's custody made him feel vulnerable, he felt totally destroyed and resented her more than anything now. All while before, he only thought of her as a mere pest but now she was a real threat.

Riddle quickly changed into his robes, planning out effective tricks to retrieve his wand back; he definitely can't go to classes without it. Thinking about his classes, it dawned to him that they had Defense against dark arts for the afternoon.

'I have time till this afternoon,' he thought to himself.

The morning hour was the care of magical creatures and potions consequently.

He was thinking of something to get away with it but he had to get his wand back anyhow.

Luck was on his side when the care of magical creatures needed only his hands dirty with feeding worms to Bowtruckles, this was by far one of his least favorite subjects next to divination.

Divination was tricky to ace for others but Riddle got away with it with his wit all the time.

Morsia was simply minding her business as if nothing had happened that night but Tom was not sure if he should be glad that she did not boast about it to the entire school that she defeated him in a duel and got his wand or should be mad that she still has his wand.

The dreaded hour came with no success in retrieving back his wand. There was simply no way he could escape a defense against arts class without a wand and with professor Merrythought, she would always ask him to demonstrate a spell first.

Just then he caught Morsia looking at him mischievously, 'This bitch, I'm gonna kill you and gouge out those eyes!'

He was fuming, for the first time he had no plan in his mind; all plans were made with his wand with him.

Professor Merrythought came down trudging toward her students, always the seating was moved close to the walls since it was an all time action scenario in defense against dark arts class.

She had explained about boggarts and their nature in the previous class, this time was for demonstrating the wand movements and spells they practiced on a boggart.

Riddle got slightly nervous as professor Merrythought stopped beside him, turning toward the class.

"Now, I will ask Riddle to perform the spell" she said, her voice brisk and bold reverberating through the classroom as the students fell silent.

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Tom looked at Morsia again, glaring at her clenching his fist. She was still smiling like a crazy woman.

"Professor, My wand-- it's broken," he said finally, despising himself for sounding so pathetic and hoping the others wouldn't hear him.

"Well? Are you sure Riddle?" Merrythought wasn't having any shit.

"Yes, I'm sure, professor," he said hesitantly.

Merrythought looked at him closely trying to size him up with her judging eyes, "Are you sure it's not protruding out of your pant pockets?"

"What?"

She pointed to his pockets, he was thrilled to see his wand present.

"I'm sorry, I forgot that I had it with me" he stuttered.

"Very well, proceed then," she opened an old looking drawer and then a foggy creature came out of it as the students swayed away from it.

Tom quickened his grip, he felt his vanity coming back to him. Although he was unsure how Morsia managed to put it in his pockets, he was now more concerned about the boggart. He had never encountered one before and he was even a little curious about what was his greatest fear.

Upon facing Riddle, the boggart shifted and twirled, manifesting his inner fear demonstrating to the audience.

The room was filled with faint whispers and suddenly there it was, the boggart turned itself into himself but he was dead as Professor Binns.

His body was lifeless, his eyes widened with fear. Riddle couldn't take in the sight of it, his hands were sweating, all his efforts to make a name out of himself, all this glory will one day come to an end-- He didn't like that fact.

He quickened his grip once again, inhaling deeply, "Riddikulus!"

After another round of twirling and the student's expectations, the boggart now took up the form of Morsia.

He smirked at her as she looked surprised.

The boggart Morsia's uniform was now turned into clown's clothes with face paint, it was having so much trouble standing as it kept falling down with a thud.

Everyone had a laugh, he looked at Morsia - her 'I don't give two fucks about it' face made him more pissed off.

"Now, Riddle played his friend very well --- Next in line!"

Professor Merrythought followed with her lessons and everyone had a go. But for some reason Morsia was excused from performing in front of others, this gave him another reason to suspect something was off with her actions.

There was an unofficial slytherin prefect meet after hours, so ultimately Riddle and Morsia had to leave the class together trudging toward the lake.

"We are doomed!" Orion Black retorted.

"What happened?" Riddle Questioned.

"Fernsby can't make it, she decided it was the perfect time to fix her pimple!" Lestrange shrugged.

"You should've looked at her face!" Black laughed out loud.

"Oh shut up! She is our seeker! what are we gonna do?" Lestrange worried.

"Don't we have any substitutes?" Rosandale, the Slytherin head girl suggested.

"It was difficult to get these rudders to play as is," Lestrange shook his head.

"Don't worry about it," Riddle said, much to everyone's surprise.

"Ravenwood here is freaking amazing with brooms," he looked at her slyly.

"Aren't you Ravenwood?"

Everyone looked at Morsia expecting nothing besides yes for an answer.

"Sort of," she replied confidently.

Riddle felt a relief, whether she was good or not, without practice she was gonna get her ass kicked.

"I will inform the team about this, and don't pressure yourself Ravenwood; We will focus on gaining more points so all you have to do is not get hit,'' Lestrange added.

Everyone dispersed except for Morsia and Riddle.

"Good luck Ravenwood, who knows you might as well win the house cup for Slytherin," he patted on her shoulder as he walked away with a triumphant smile.

"See you tomorrow, I will watch you play."

"You sure will," she muttered.
