After much consideration, I've come to the conclusion that the potential romance development between Ellowyn and Alexis is not only too contrived to maintain but rather straight on illogical. At first, I wanted to create a thrilling star-cross lovers' romance that would bring tears to my eyes. But at this point, I've realized that it is easier to force a donkey to fly than to pursue the particular plot development.
Forcing the two to be together will violate the story's consistency and prevent me from following the planned plotline. Therefore, I've decided to remove Alexis's past as Ellowyn's lover.

Please note that this does not change the story much so far, as the fact had only been mentioned twice in 35 chapters (chapter 14 and 27), but it will drastically change the story from now on, allowing me more freedom to change the world and Ellowyn's future adventures.
To be brief, Alexis will remain as John Lyon's hero, but his role as Ellowyn's past lover has been removed (by deleting a few paragraphs in chapter 14 and 27).
This doesn't mean there will be no romance for Ellowyn in this story, so don't be sad!
This will be the last time I make any major changes to the story. If you have any opinions and suggestions, please give me a comment or a pm.
