Listen While Reading: Open the Gates of Hell
-----
I had summoned a Voidling, a powerful servant of the Seamless Abyss, which the Gauntlet made from his eye allowed me to do once I gathered ten thousand Abyssal Energy. It wasn’t hard to gather, but after taking all those hits from the androids so far, I had just enough to summon it.
I am not even sure how strong that thing is; it might be as strong as an S-Rank Monster or higher, but I can tell their powers are somewhat restricted. Nonetheless, the set of abilities they possess make up for any weaker or nerfed stats they could have.
After all, the ability to fully manipulate the element of Void is no trifling matter. Even less with its shapeless, tentacled body, which can trap foes with them, and which has red eyes capable of firing Void Beams with ease.
Just like right now.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Three Void Beams impacted the fused robot as it tried to escape, blowing up two of its legs again. Their bodies collapsed. In anger, the robot channeled its powers; two enormous palms made of darkness and light impacted the Voidling, pushing it dozens of meters away.
BAAAM!
It had taken damage; its body was covered by a huge scar in the shape of two palms. Yet slowly, it all recovered back to its normal form, its body immediately expanding, completely out of darkness. The tentacles immediately attempted to catch the robot, but it knew its way of attacking. The robot quickly leaped away and then directed its spear-like arms towards me.
Blinding golden light and dark shadows were charged through them, and four powerful beams were fired towards me. It knew I had summoned it and quickly attempted to blast me.
I turned invisible again and disappeared, evading the incoming beams as I gathered Blood Essence and Demonic Ki around my body.
This was the effect of the Demonic Stigma inside my Shield. Because I had taken so much damage, all of that damage was now becoming a shield, an armor of protection.
My blood, all the lost life force.
[You have lost a large quantity of Blood and Life Force. The [Demonic Stigma: Blood Protection] has been automatically activated.]
[All the Blood and Life Force you’ve lost have been transformed into a Protective Shield around your body! Your Total Defenses have increased by +200% and your Damage Taken has been reduced by 50% for 5 Minutes.]
Yeah, it was pretty good, but it demanded a lot of my life force be taken away to activate. And it lasted for as little as five minutes. But it was good enough to clash against this damn thing. It was incredibly fast—super-fast, in fact.
However, it wasn’t the toughest thing alive. As long as we can keep it still and gang on it, this should be over faster than one could imagine.
But the problem is, how do we stop it? Not even the Voidling’s tentacles could. So the best thing I can do right now is bait it to hit us and then grab it with the Voidling helping me.
The rest of my Familiars and the Death Apostles are already here, but because that damned thing is so fast, they can’t even hit it.
FLASH!
It’s coming.
“EXTERMINATE.”
As I revealed myself to it, its flashing eyes quickly directed to me. In a split second, its entire body weighted me down as I put my shield in front of me.
CLASH!
The immense weight it exerted was as if I were being pushed down by the heavens themselves. Its Heavenly Powers were released completely, light and darkness becoming one as its aura kept surging.
“PERISH.”
Its spear-like arms, the four remaining ones, started hitting the shield constantly, attempting to shatter it. The shield’s durability was really high, but it was quickly going down with each blow. I constantly attacked it back, Gram and the Nameless Axe-Sword unable to hit it once as it now erected an armor around its body made out of its own crystalized aura.
Goddamn it!
FLASH!
Ah!
The shield started to glow with bright gold and black light.
Now or never.
“{Divine Heavenly Harmony Dragon’s Breath}”
In a split second, the dragon head over the shield seemed to have come to life. A mighty draconic roar bellowed everywhere as the shield erupted with golden light and flames.
“ROOOAARR!”
A massive breath attack was unleashed—an explosion of golden flames and light the robot could not escape from. It tried to, but anywhere it went, the attack had already reached. The only thing it could do after calculations was to generate as many shields as possible. But each one shattered before the power of the damage the shield had accumulated was sent back to him at once.
BOOOM!
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The blast reached the walls behind the robot, and the mechanical creature ended up smashing into them. Its entire body was ablaze with golden dragon flames, slowly falling into the ground as if a puppet had lost its strings.
However, it wasn’t dead yet; no, it was channeling something within it.
“Quickly, gang on it! Voidling, you too!”
“YOU DON’T NEED TO TELL ME TWICE.”
The nameless Voidling grabbed us all with his tentacles and immediately shifted perspectives. In a second, we were right in front of the robot. It was as if he had teleported, yet he didn’t. Is this the power of manipulating the void?
Anyway, no time to think!
Agares and Bael swung their weapons down, clashing against the barriers the robot had set up desperately a split second earlier. Explosions of demonic flames erupted with each of their attacks. Bael unleashed his almighty Demonic Sword Arts while Agares used his Blood Magic in combination with his myriads of weapons to unleash a flurry of crimson attacks.
Shiro empowered everyone with small buffs using only his Ki; Snow released an icy aura and directed it to the robot in hopes of slowing it down; Violet attacked with his giant and sharp scythes, aiming to slash at it, although his own scythes were constantly gaining cracks instead.
Fang Shuan’s spear ferociously unleashed devastating blows, each one capable of shattering a mountain; he was dealing the most damage aside from me.
Meanwhile, the cat-shaped Primordial Yang Beast was doing nothing, sitting behind us while watching. However, at a closer look, it slowly started to expand its Ki Essence, as if it were trying to create some sort of Domain, a Domain encompassing everything.
Whatever it was planning to do, it might help us!
“Break already!”
I released all kinds of techniques as I attacked with all my weapons at once. A vertical swung from Gram released a draconic roar as a wave of shadows and light was unleashed in the shape of a monstrous spirit dragon, biting through the barrier. A Cleave from my Nameless Sword-Axe unleashed a wave of crimson light, shattering the barriers at long last.
CRASH!
And then, with both of my daggers at hand, a wave of holy frost and demonic flames was released at the same time, spiraling and swirling together and hitting the robot’s chest.
BOOOM!
“USELESS…! WEAK… WEAKLINGS!”
However, the robot seemed almost unscathed from that basic elemental attack, quickly flashing towards us. The Voidling expanded his tentacles, attempting to trap it within a sea of darkness, only to have its body covered by holes as the robot’s four arms pierced through him like spears.
“DAMMIT…! MY POWERS ARE TOO SEALED!”
As he groaned, the Voidling collapsed on the ground, his entire body quickly regenerating again, his eyes pointing at the robot and firing Void Beams, attempting to slow it down. Only one ended up hitting its left shoulder, leaving a small hole there. The other beams were swiftly evaded, and the robot moved towards me.
“Alright, come. This time without a shield, fucker.”
I had already stored the shield inside my inventory, as all the soldiers summoned from my accessories fused once more with my Emperor Ki Aura and other Auras.
I activated [Celestial Golden Dragon’s Divine Scale Armor] to cover my body with an Armor of golden Ki to further increase my defenses, while I readied a myriad [Heavenly Dragon Fists] at once. The robot greeted me with a myriad blows of his own.
BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!
Every time my fists clashed against those pointy and spear-like arms, I felt they slightly broke my knuckles. The pain was unbearable, yet there was no other choice but to bear with it. I grit my teeth, constantly losing blood from my own hands. The robot was kept in check; everyone else attacked it from behind.
“ANNOYING!”
However, as the robot kept developing some sort of ego of its own, it quickly twisted its body, kicked me away, and then spun in midair, clashing against all my allies at once. An explosion of the Heavenly Essence of Darkness and Light blew them all away.
BOOOM!
This damn bastard had become slower, yes. His entire body was now wrapped in slowly dissipating chains conjured from my shield’s attack, named [Heavenly Sealing Chains of Harmony]. They were supposed to seal abilities from 1 to 3 at random and also decrease all stats by 30%.
However, its effects were compromised and weakened because of the harmony the robot itself possessed. Naturally, chains made out of the same combination of elements were not as effective!
“RAAAH!”
I kicked the ground, using [Heavenly Dragon’s Steps] to appear right behind it. Loading my golden horns with as much Ki as possible, I attempted to impale them from behind.
“OLD TRICK.”
However, the robot spun back towards me, and its giant spear-tipped arms attacked my horns with such intensity that they broke! My eyes widened as its piercing blows hit my entire crimson armor, and then the bastard kicked my head into the ground.
CLAAASH!
“Ugh…!”
I felt completely dizzy. I couldn’t help but feel like my brains were about to explode out of my head. This bastard was way too strong, way too powerful! If only I could use my Mana freely, I could have unleashed more of my attacks and skills!
“Dammit!”
Furious, I imbued my body with Cosmic Energy, which I was trying to save, and quickly underwent a transformation. I activated my [Cosmic Transcendent] Skill. My appearance changed, my wounds were instantly healed, and my skin seemed to merge with the cosmos. My hair grew long and blue-colored, with golden stars shining within it.
The robot suddenly stepped back in shock at what it saw, but then attacked anyway. A dozen giant golden and dark palms attacked me at once. However, I wasn’t the same as before, as my Cosmic Energy was being drained with every second. I was totally different!
[You have undergone the {Cosmic Transcendence Transformation}! You have gained the ability to conjure Spacetime and Starlight Magic without Mana, All Stats have increased by +700%, Decreases Damage Taken by -40%, and Increases Skill and Magic Damage by +200% when using Cosmic Energy.]
[Additionally, you have gained the power of activating {Constellation’s Aura} based on the user’s Divinities, which can be further utilized through {Cosmic Transcendent Arts}!]
[100 Cosmic Energy are being drained every second.]
I have to do this quickly if I don’t want all my Cosmic Energy to go down the gutter!
“{Constellation Aura}!”
FLAAASH!
An Aura of the Cosmos erupted from my body; it immediately clashed against the robot’s strongest techniques, nullifying them completely and making them disappear. At the same time, I saw the cat’s eyes flash brightly, and a cube-shaped barrier appeared around us, sealing me and the robot inside.
“Nice, this is perfect! So the bastard won’t ever dare escape now!”
“HUH?!”
The robot immediately attempted to break out of the barrier the cat had conjured, but it was futile. It was not breaking at all! It swiftly evaded one of my incoming blows, a simple swing of Gram loaded with my Constellation Aura.
SLAAASH!
“HAH, STILL SLOW!”
However, that slowness didn’t matter anymore. Space itself twisted around; the distance between my attack and the robots’ movements was immediately cut down.
This was the power to manipulate Space itself, even stronger than Jeremias.
“AH?!”
The robot could only watch in utter disbelief as my attack landed; half its body was immediately split apart.
“Did you call me slow?!”
Even after having boosted my stats by 700%, I was still slow against him!
Yet with my Space Magic, that wasn’t an issue anyway.
“{Thousand Blades}: {Four Cardinal Stars}!”
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!
The illusion of four cardinal stars appearing above the robot flashed within a second. The robot attempted to fight back, clouds of black and white color surging from its body and hitting me.
Yet there was no damage dealt, and the cardinal stars started flashing brightly.
“It’s over.”
“GUH?!”
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Four slashes were unleashed, each one charged with dozens of slashing attacks from Thousand Blades at once.
The robot’s entire body was split into dozens of pieces.
“IMPO… SSIBLE… ER… RROR…”
BOOOM!
