Chapter 139: Fighting Hordes Of Demonic Monsters

-----

“KRIEEEH!”

Violet moved at lightning speed thanks to his incredibly high Agility Stat, evading the Imp Warrior attacks and then swinging his giant and sharp scythe-shaped claws against them. With utmost ease, he quickly cut several of them into pieces as dozens of Imp Warriors kept coming from the doors.

“SHAAH!”

Violet swiftly opened his giant mandibles, firing bullets of corrosive, poisonous saliva toward the Imps at the back, always hitting their faces and making them blind on the spot! As they screamed in agony, the giant centipede went for the kill, slicing their throats mercilessly and efficiently!

And above all.

Ding!

[Due to the Demonic Energy-rich environment, as a [Demonic Beast]-type Monster, [Violet] Stats have increased by a further +70%!]

[The Power of the [Demonic Aura (B)] Skill has been activated, further increasing the buff to all stats from 70% to +125%!]

FLASH!

His aura was constantly overflowing with tremendous power; he had evolved into an Abyssal Demonic Centipede before, giving him the ability to absorb both poison elements and demonic energies into his body.

This made it so that even as a C-Rank monster, he was able to easily overwhelm these B-Rank Demons, especially by sucking away their energies with each strike, while his venom helped him blind or paralyze the Imps!

Although Violet was the spotlight of this fight, Snow and Shiro were not being left behind that much. Snow was usually at Baihe’s side, but alone, he was still rather amazing.

“Woof! Awooo!”

His ability to fight was constantly developing, as he quickly conjured freezing ice magic of a lower level than Baihe but good enough to freeze the legs of foes and slow them down before administering serious bites into their necks and slashing claw attacks into their faces.

He was also really good at sprinting, jumping, and evading due to his much more flexible body. Violet was very fast, but due to all the exoskeleton armor he had, he couldn’t easily move with great reflexes to evade close attacks; he was more like a bullet, while Snow was much slower but capable of evading attacks with greater control over his body.

This, combined with frost magic, made him a very good member of the monster trio party!

“Kyuuh!”

Meanwhile, the little Shiro, who was usually more suited to be a supporter as a healer and buffer, was now desperately and angrily firing beams of light everywhere, furious at the demons.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

This was because Shiro was an Angelic Beast, so their archnemeses were Demons! And it showed, even while being oppressed within a demon energy-rich environment...

Ding!

[By killing several Demons, the Familiar [Shiro] has developed the [Demonic Nemesis (C): Lv1] Skill!]

[The Skill effect has been activated, enhancing all damage against Demons by +125 and ignoring 20% of their defenses.]

Wow, the little guy even developed a Skill for it. He sure seems motivated!

“Your Familiars are crazy.” Sara watched on the sidelines without moving a finger after realizing my monsters were doing most of the work.

“Well, let’s exercise a bit ourselves; there are some bosses incoming as well,” I said.

“They are- Ah!” Sara took a bit longer to realize this, as two of the doors broke into pieces.

The doors right in front of me and the one behind shattered as giant, red-skinned arms broke through, belonging to enormous Imps.

Their appearance was kind of similar to that of the Imp Warriors, looking like red-skinned goblins with pointy tails and tiny, useless wings, but they were incredibly muscular, like Orcs!

They were also wearing much better metallic black armor, most likely crafted out of Abyssitite, one of the most common yet strong metals among the many Demonic Realms out there.

“GRUOOHHH!”

Ding!

[Two powerful [Greater Imp Warlords (A+ Rank)] have emerged!]

[Due to being in a Demonic Energy-rich environment, their Stats have increased by a further +150%!]

[Additionally, they have gained the temporary ability to seamlessly conjure Demonic Magic!]

“Careful, they can conjure magic! I’ll take one down; you take the other!” I said.

“Got it!” Sara nodded.

“GRAHAHAHA!”

The Imp in front of me laughed at me, mocking my small size as he conjured several magic circles, their demonic runes firing several Demon Fireballs at me!

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

“Who are you laughing at, you pig-faced idiot?”

I rushed towards him, as my fragile ego couldn’t bear a stupid demon monster like this guy laughing at my small stature!

{Thousand Blades}: {Sunshine Blade Storm}!

I combined the power of the Thousand Blades Skill with the Sunlight Blade and the Sunshine Arc Technique, spinning in midair as I unleashed a storm of slashing waves made of sunlight, which became blades that constantly clashed against his magic!

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

The fireballs exploded one after another as the slashing attacks quickly rained down on the Imp Warlord, who furiously stepped back only to gain momentum and rush towards me as fast as possible, raising his large hammer made of bones and Abyssitite.

CLASH!

I blocked the attack with Gram, who overflowed with the power of the Demonic Stigma and the Celestial Mark, even if I hadn’t activated them at all yet.

“Come on! Is that all you’ve got?” I smiled, feeling a bit cocky as I blocked his attack easily. The strength he exerted seemed barely good enough.

“GRRRHHH…!”

The Imp Warlord grew furious, snake-shaped demonic flames surging from within his aura, attempting to coil around my body and burn me.

But I didn’t even evade or anything; I let them do as they pleased, coiling around my arms and legs, attempting to bind me, only dealing a bit of damage to my armor and my gloves.

Which was perfect… I needed to accumulate a lot of Blood Energy and Abyssal Energy to use their abilities properly, so the more, the better!

“Thank you for that! I hope they last a bit longer!”

“GRAH?!”

The Imp Warlord was terrified to realize I was completely fearless against his magic. I stepped forward, swinging my sword once more, and slashing apart the arm holding the hammer.

“Let’s use some of this as well, even though I know you’re weak to light...” I smiled, my hair suddenly turning dark purple as my eyes glowed with bright crimson light, my wings became long and demonic, and my tail grew several meters long, covered with hard black scales. “{Demonic Body}!”

Demonic Energy overflowed from my body as my tail pierced the Imp Warlord’s chest a hundred times. His arm now having been sliced didn’t stop him; he swung his bare fist and kicked against me angrily, his aura shaping into several additional arms!

I parried his strikes with Gram as I made my way towards him. Using the magic manipulation powers of Arcane Hands and the magic conjuration abilities of the Great Sorceress, I channeled the dark elements of my Demonic Body.

“{Black Star}”

A huge sphere of darkness emerged in the front of my palm as I pressed it into the Imp Warlord’s chest as he was distracted trying to block all the slashing strikes that [Thousand Blades] had summoned.

BOOOM!

The sphere of pure darkness consumed him entirely; his skin withered instantly, his bones shattered, his eyes boiled, and so did his blood. In just a second, a mummified corpse was the only thing left behind. Black Star was surely a potent Darkness Magic Spell, I have to definitely save it!

Ding!

[You’ve registered the [Black Star] Spell inside of the Spell Slots within your Right Hand!]

“Whew…”

As I took a rest while my familiars kept fending off the small fry, I took a peek at Sara’s fighting against the other Imp Warlord.

Her movements were certainly faster and more efficient than before, yet she seemed to lack some of the flashy finesse from before, now replaced with a phantasmal power surging from her every move.

The Imp Warlord frustratedly kept attacking her with his huge sword while shooting demonic fireballs at her. However, Sara moved swiftly and flashily, her body encompassed by a veil of phantoms.

This must be her [Phantasmal Veil] S-Rank Skill she acquired after she revived as... not a human, and then I gave her a 10k Plot Points-worth Privilege to help her never get taken over by a constellation again by becoming her sponsor instead.

She had certainly been practicing her new abilities, and it showed; the phantasmal energy left behind with each of her movements was being harnessed into her hands until...

“{Phantom Rush}!”

Her Phantasmal Veil transformed into countless Phantom Clones as she attacked the Imp Warlord with her dual daggers, slashing all over his body.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

Her clones were somewhat semi-solid too, each of their attacks leaving a burn wound of phantasmal flames over the Imp Warlord’s body.

“GRYYAAAGGH…!”

Suddenly, the Imp Warlord couldn’t take it anymore, erupting with all his demonic energy at once and unleashing an explosive beam of demonic flames toward Sara.

“{Spectral Body}!”

However, Sara fused back with her Phantom Clones and created a spectral, ghost-like body, which she used to absorb the flames and become... some sort of fire ghost herself. Is that a thing?

“G-Grah…?!”

The Imp Warlord was left utterly speechless, just like me!

“Here, have it back!” Sara said viciously, firing all the flames she absorbed back at the Imp Warlord, burning him to death.

Its body fell into pieces over the floor, leaving nothing but the smell of charred meat. Wow, that was intense! Did she become as strong as an S Rank now with all those new skills?

“Phew, did I do well?” She asked me as if seeking approval from me.

“You did amazing!” I nodded, giving her my thumbs up.

The moment I said that, her face lightened as if her own parents had praised her.

Based on the novel, I know very little about her; she was never given any spotlight or background at all, so I am completely unaware of even her past.

But maybe it wasn’t as good as I had previously imagined. I doubt that this desire she has surged just now after everything that happened.

However, at least with me, she seems to be much more open than with others.

Maybe it is because of this weird connection between a necromancer and their undead. After all, I did revive her through my powers.

Though I have no desire to hold any authority over her,

“It has taken me a while to get used to these strange powers.” Sara sighed. “It is quite obvious now that I am no longer a human being anymore... But still, even then, you’ve given me a second chance back then. Thanks for that, Anna. I’ll make sure to use these powers for good, so I can redeem myself for what I’ve done.

“It wasn’t really you, but... well said.” I smiled. “I’m sure that you’ll regain some respect once all of this is done.”

Ding!

[You and your allies have defeated [Imp Warriors (B Rank)] x48!]

[You and your allies have defeated [Imp Warlords (A+ Rank)] x2!]

[You earned 920.000 EXP]

[Level Up!]

[Your Familiars have Leveled Up!]

“It looks like the familiars are done too. How about we seek a way to destroy the domain walls now?” I wondered.

“I-Is that even possible?” She asked in surprise.

“Should be… as long as I put some effort into it!” I smiled, my hands glowing with many runes. “Let’s-”

RUMBLE!

Before I could even begin “hacking” the domain walls, a huge tremor came, followed by a tremendous demonic presence drawing closer with each passing second!

“Sara!”

I quickly ran towards her as the entity broke through the walls behind her, its gigantic claws about to reach her head!

“Oh, would you look at that? Isn’t she the one for whom I crushed her head into pieces?!” Laughed the monster. “I might as well do it again for old times’ sake!”

“Wha…?!” Sara’s eyes opened wide as she saw the demonic entity emerge behind her at an incredible speed!

CRASH!

However, his claws ended up hitting nothing as she turned into a specter and evaded the attack by the skin of her teeth, seconds before my Gram overflowed with Holy Light!

“I can’t believe it’s you again, you damn lizard!” I roared. “How about a rematch?! I would love to crush you a second time!"

{Thousand Blades}: {Eclipsing Ascension}!

“Hoh, quite bold, you damn- Ugh?!”

BOOOM!

I didn’t even let him finish his words, blowing him away with one of my strongest attacks.
