Darkness!!!!!

I can hear some strange noises while *** surrounded by an impenetrable veil of black.

Slowly ***'s consciousness resurfaced, the moment he opened his eyes he saw a pair feet slowly creeping towards him, slowly rising his eyesight he saw a girl slowly walking toward him holding a knife in front of her.

“Ummm”

The moment he opened his mouth to ask who is she, the girl suddenly lounge forward. He quickly rolled back to avoid getting stab. Just as he's about to get on his feet, he slipped on dewy grass.

“Caeli”

A gust of invisible blades shot from the girl's outstretched right hand, which went over his head, cutting through his hair and smashed the tree behind him in half. Secretly thanking the dew in his heart he again got up to his feet and started saying

“L, look, It, think .......”

But without paying any heed to what he was saying the girl attacked him with her knife again, he somehow manages to dodge the blade.

“What’re you doing here?”

The girl asked in a deadly serious voice, hearing this *** suddenly grab for the knife but only managed to get his hand on the blade, which dug into his palm and moments later a red colour of blood appeared on his plan and the blade of the knife.

The girl swiftly jumps backwards leaving her knife dug in his hand and pressed her hands on the ground and roared at the top her lungs.

“Terra”

In an instance the earth moves as if to swallow him whole, he tried to jump out of its reach but his feet were already in its grasp, next moment he discovered himself buried till head in the earth.

“This is your last chance, tell me who's you and what's your business in this forest.”

Unable to move an inch *** desperately tried to explain.

“I'm just crossing this forest that all.”

He can tell just by the look on the girl's face she still doesn't believe him.

“My name is Max”

Max hurriedly gives out his name to buy time think of a way to escape this dangerous and bloodthirsty girl.

It took him quite a while to register what she said, though still a look of disbelief on her face, Max decided to by her words and believe her.

“So please get me out of this.”

“Why should I?”

“Well, don't you think it's your responsibility since you got me into this situation?”

“Well, it’s your fault to be sleeping with your guard down, no?”

“Dammit, she is right,” he thought but didn't voice that thought.

“Well, what if I pay you for getting me out of here”

“Heh, what would a mere human like ability to pay me with?”

“Well, I've some gold coins.”

“How much would you pay?”

“Only a coin”

“Five”

“One the way, only a coin.”

“Then stay there for rest of your useless life.”

Saying this, the girl got up on her feet and starts to go away.

“Wait, two, I'll give you two coins now please get me out of here.”

“You know that you aren't in the position to bargain, right?”

*Sigh*

“Okay, three is my limit. Please don’t be that much greedy!”

“Okay, then!!”

“Terra”

She shouted touching the ground with both of her hands. In the next instance, Max was back at the surface, free from any sort of restraint.

“Now, cough up the coins”

Max took out three coins pretty reluctantly and handed them over to the girl.

“Didn't that hand of ours bleeding a few moments ago?!!”

“Oh! That’s because of my regenerative power is better than normal”

“!!??”

The gave him a curious look, which makes highly conscious of his appearance, which was pathetic, to say the least. His clothes were ragged and his black hair messed up, to top it all of he didn't have a decent bath in a few days.

“Were you thrown out by your people as well??”

Only after the girl ask that question, did he notice the girl has silver hair and eyes.

“Another victim, huh!!”

He muttered in a low voice. He too experienced the behaviour that she was talking about. Since he has black hair and eyes he was always subjected to the worst kind of jobs with minimum wages. This is the case with people with the same hair and eye colours since they are believed to be cursed people who ensured God's wrath on them.

“Well, I don't know”

“What do you mean you don't know”

“Huh, nothing”

Sensing that he slipped out something he shouldn't have. He tried to change the subject.

“That reminds me that I still don't know what’s you're called beautiful!!”

“Please, don't get ahead of yourself”

She showed a disgusted face and started examining the coin he handed to her. After several moments of awkward silence, Max got an idea and immediately voiced it.

“Hey, could you take me to your village”

“Oh!, if you want to die let me do the honours”

“Ehhh!, Why did you say that I love my life as much as women love their boobs.”

Max said something to provoke her and get under her skin to get her to open her to him, so he can get at least a bed and a roof over his head.

“You really are disgusting aren't you?”

“Please, let me into your village, the rest I'll manage myself”

“ Do you really want to get into an elf village?”

“Huh??!, You are an elf!!”

“Of course, I'm an elf”

Seeing the girl pout in anger, Max realized he might have made an offensive gesture and quickly changed the subject. Apparently, there is heavy discrimination against others.

“So how about I give five more gold coins, to provide me with a bed, a roof and protection.”

Hearing his proposal, the girl's eyes lit up from the prospect of making more money.

“Make it seven or forget it”

“Okay, seven but you have to tell me your name as well”

The girl hesitates for a moment or two but finally gave in to her greed.

“Okay, fine give me those cursed coins”

Satisfied, he hands over her seven coins, which left him with only fifteen silver and thirty-two copper coins. Sighing to himself, he decided to look at the positive side of things.

“My name is Alice Blackwood, now follow me want food and other things”

“She truly is weak to her greed isn't she?” thinking to himself he followed Alice into the woods.
