Since the beginning of time, every living creature is bound to die and cease to be in the world of living. One specie that pales in comparison when it came to strength and longevity sought to circumvent death by seeking immortality. They did not have the infinite knowledge and profound wisdom of the mystical creatures known as dragons. Nor did they have the regenerative abilities and endless longevity of the terrifying phoenix. Most formidable creatures live for thousands of years but this particular specie could only live for less than a century. Perhaps it is their unwillingness to die or be the weakest that they started thinking differently than the rest. By a series of intriguing events, this weak specie managed to become top of the food chain in certain parts of this world. This specie was of course the tenacious humans.
Xerita is a wide and boundless world filled with enigmatic lands that could not be comprehended with logic. One of these lands is the country of Qing which contains many magical zones with dense spiritual energy. Spiritual energy is the force behind the mysteries and wonders of this world. It was with the accumulated knowledge regarding spiritual energy passed down through the ancestors of mankind that humans can now stand side by side with the top predators of the land. Although true immortality has yet been achieved, outstanding individuals have harnessed the power to summon devastating tsunamis, move colossal mountains and create earth-shattering thunders.
Till this day, the people still strive for immortality. However not everyone is able to harness spiritual energy and those without that ability is doomed to live a short and hard life. Those that can sense and control spirt power are known as cultivators. The difference in power between an ordinary mortal and a cultivator is like heaven and earth. Cultivators are lofty individuals that usually group up with other cultivators in pursuit of immortality.
Mount Huang is the home to the Huang Clan and is the largest mountain in the east of the country of Qing. This mystical mountain stretches for over a hundred kilometers and is home to thousands of cultivators. It contains a high abundance of spiritual energy along with magical forests, minerals, herbs, beasts, and anything else that a cultivators could use to increase their individual power. Even if you are an ordinary mortal that lives on Mount Huang as a servant, your lifespan would double without even practicing cultivation. This was how special this mountain was.
The Huang clan is one of the five major powers belonging to the Hwan Dynasty that rules over the country of Qing. They supported the founder of the Hwan Dynasty when they waged war against the previous monarch for supremacy over the country of Qing. As such the Huang clan dominate over the eastern part of the country currently. Since the founding of the Kwan Dynasty, they have enjoyed the monopoly of the Mount Huang which granted countless benefits to its members. The greatest gain is when one of the past patriarch of the clan discovered a corpse of a legendary Spectral Tiger that allowed the Huang clan to reach new heights.
Due to its enormous size, Mount Huang has not been completely explored and everyone can say for certain that there is definitely more sacred treasures to be found within this mystical mountain. Before the mighty Huang clan conquered this piece of priceless land, an infamous group of outlaws dominated it. Earlier than them was a sect of priests that attempted to discover the mysteries regarding this cryptic mountain. At any rate, no one completely explain the dense spiritual energy that surrounds the mountain.

At one of the corners of Mount Huang was a man on the back of a large snow colored eagle falling downwards at an extremely fast speed. The helpless flying creature spread out its wings hopelessly in an effort to soften the inevitable impact to the land below.
Boom! The pair slammed mercilessly into the earth below and created a small man-sized crater. A few moments later the man crawled out of the crater and looked back at his companion that saved his life. The eagle beast had paid the ultimate price to save its master and ended up as a corpse that’s hammered into the ground. Dark clouds slowly appeared and poured harsh rain upon the pitiful individual that was now kneeling beside the crater.
“Little Wang, you saved my life once again. If it wasn’t for you, I would have long perished old friend. The Gods sure are cruel, I’m sorry I couldn’t be a better owner. You suffered so much because of me but rest assured, I’ll get revenge for the both of us!” The person said as he slowly got up from the ground and started burying the flying beast. Although extreme sorrow could be seen, his eyes contained no tears. Only a determination harder than steel could be seen.
“Huang Clan… even if you are a Rank 7 clan, I swear that I’ll exterminate you all from the roots one day!” The man gritted his teeth as he started walking away. The name of this person was Kyo and technically he was a member of the Huang clan as well. However the hatred he has for the clan that treated him worse than trash for decades could last for many lifetimes.
Kyo was one of the child belonging to the Shin family that rules over one of the three peaks of Mount Huang. The Shin family is one of the prominent powers in the clan due to its ability to produce outstanding Saints each generation! Saints are cultivators that have reached a point where they can live over a millennia and have the ability to freely soar through the skies. The majority of the people in the Huang Clan are cultivators that can manipulate spiritual energy and perform miraculous feats. Descendants of cultivators are usually blessed with the innate talent to become cultivators as well.
For Kyo this was not the case however. Although his father is the patriarch of the Shin family that rules over the Rising Sun Peak and his mother is one of the High Priest of the clan, Kyo inherited neither of his infamous parents’ talents. His father was a Saint Lord that was known throughout the country and achieved countless merits on behalf of the clan. It was common for powerful cultivators to have many wives because for strange unknown reasons, it is harder for strong cultivators to have children.
Kyo’s build was vastly different from the rest of his siblings. The men of the Shin family were famous for their masculine builds and raw strength at a young age but Kyo had neither of that. However there was one thing he did have, outstanding intelligence. Before the age of one he already learned to speak fluently and is able to communicate with others with ease. At age of two he could write and read, shocking anyone who had encountered him. At age of five he was discussing theories regarding spiritual arts with distinguished scholars of the Huang clan. This alone had singled him out to be an outstanding genius. Most were eager to see how he would turn out in the future.
However how did this person end up in such dire straits?
