At the table, Arthur asked a red headed boy close to him, “Are these seats free?”

The boy turned from his conversation, saying, “Sure! Go right ahead.”

The conversation at the table died down as the three of them settled into their seats.

“My name’s Arthur by the way. This is my roommate Tom and our friend Shona.”

The boy put out his hand to shake which Arthur obliged before introducing himself as Collin.

They proceeded to go around the table with everyone giving their name.

Arthur was already starting to lose track of names by the fifth student, but felt confident he would remember their faces at least.

Introductions slowly morphed into talking about move in day and first impressions of the professors and classes.

Nobody at the table seemed sure about how they felt so far. An equal mix uncertainly and excitement for the new year.
