29. A Welcoming Week (Part 1)

As he exited the dorm building with the others, Arthur was surprised to see how many people were out and about.

The time on his phone said it was 5:00 and the festivities weren’t meant to start until 5:30 according to the email Shona had quoted out to them.

Apparently, the school had decorated the entire cafeteria as well as prepared a special welcome feast.

Arthur hadn’t visited the cafeteria yet since Tom and him had been meal prepping for the entirety of summer school with Vincent.

The cafeteria had just opened in the last few days with the influx of students coming to campus, and Shona was advocating heavily for the breakfast burritos as they walked over.

“The one I had this morning was massive,” Shona exclaimed, “They even let me pick what kind of potato to put inside it.”

“No way. How many potato types do they even have?” Tom asked.

“Six. Seven if you count sweet potatoes.”

Arthur could see Tom’s eyes visibly widen with interest, which rapidly shifted to Arthur.

“Yes, we can eat breakfast at the cafeteria tomorrow.”

“This is incredible. I’m going to see if they let me combine types. Maybe even all seven.”
