Ahh…Another wonderful day of doing nothing. I can easily spend my afternoons catching and battling, which leaves my mornings for rest and relaxation. Of course, I still haven’t managed to figure out how to do what I did before. The dark feeling, that is.
You know, I also wish I could remember what happened that day. It kind of aggravates me. I mean, I used to fight all the time, back in school. I want to know how I did! Did I run away? Or did I perhaps kick him out of the building or disintegrate him? Maybe he ran away? I don’t know.
But I got Murkrow out of it. Murkrow has gotten used to everyone, even though it’s only been three days.
And a lot can happen in three days. But nothing did.
Let’s hope today is the same.
*Beep*
“Shit.”
What is it? Someone’s at the door? I jinxed myself. Great.
Oh? It’s a pretty lady! Be right down!

Ugh, this is the worst. We wanted to set up our radio station here, but my key won’t work! I thought the people we bought this place from said the previous people all left? Maybe it’s just the key…
“Denise, what’s going on?”
“Just a minute!”
Shit, Reggie. Calm down. Hmm? Who’s that?
And why are they in a bath robe? Well…he could do with more clothes and less…fat. But he does seem to strike a powerful presence. But this just means the people lied to us.
He opens the door and kind of sets himself on the door like a model. Such a gross picture. Like a Hippopotas trying to be cute. Although my little sister like Hippopotas. Then again, she also likes Ariados. Who in their right mind would want a spider?
Lost in thought, I didn’t recognize that the man was trying to talk to me. Not until Reggie nudged me.
“Denise, pay attention.”
“Oops, sorry.”
“No problem, I understand completely. I just wanted to know why you all were here.”
“We bought this place and”
“Hold on. Where from?”
“Uhh…from Busy Beedrill Buildings.”
“Okay, continue.”
The man motioned to his Golbat to circle above. To search for the company, probably?
“Well, we were wanting to set up a radio station here.”
His eyes lit up like he had an idea.
“Ah, we can work something out. I live here by myself after everyone else left for some other place. There’s nothing wrong, it’s just that this place wasn’t the right place to be anymore.”
“Can you tell me anything else about the previous tenants?”
“Nope. Can’t.”
“Oh.”
It was at this time that the Golbat returned, crying out about something. He listened for a bit then turned back to us.
“Okay, so return to wherever to get your equipment and then come back. I should have this place up and running shortly. Although I may not be here when you return, just know not to go past where my Pokémon are.”
“Uhh…alright?”
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
“Denise, what just happened?”
“I don’t know.”
----------------------------------------
It must have taken us about several hours to go back to the warehouse and haul all our equipment here. But the doors were unlocked this time and all the lights were on. There was even a cafeteria and a bar! A store room! We could run tours for people! Having a lot of listeners that can get involved with us can be a good thing.
We can work with the nearby school districts to plan field trips, set up tours for a price or even special ‘free’ tours! They still have to pay for food, but we can make a ton of stuff for people to look through, making the tours last for several hours!
There’s six floors, one of which is the basement. On the second floor lies the living areas. There’s even three break rooms. One for girls, one for guys, and the mixed room. There are showers and lockers in the bathrooms, meaning people can stay late or even all day.
The third floor has a lot of cubicles, probably where the previous people did their work. We can take some of these places down, wall off other places, and set up sound proof rooms! This is more than enough space for us! But there is still two more floors!
Well, three, but the halls that comes from the staircase and the elevator down in the basement are blocked by a really creepy Murkrow and a Raticate with a Spearow on its head. Well, we can always use the roof.
The fourth floor seems to be an office floor. Probably for top dogs. This would be where the directors and big shots would stay and do their work. Nothing special, this just means that people can only visit floors one and three. We’ll have to reinstall one of the two elevators to only go to those two floors and keep the stairwell doors locked while giving the employees their keys. Not too much of a problem. It’s not like anyone will want to break in.
But the last floor is blocked off by an Ekans and a Koffing. How many Pokémon does this guy have? Hmm…six? I guess that’s not so bad.
I went back down to the third floor and saw the owner of the building.

Hehehe, what a good amount of money. With this and the money these guys will be bringing, I can get more stuff pretty quickly. They want to renovate the third floor to which I say,
“No problem.”
But I must say, it seems like the business man at Busy Beedrill was actually misinformed. So I didn’t kill him. I went around, and found out the misinformation came directly from this building itself! What the Shelmet, guys?! Anyways, because of the misunderstanding, a radio station is being built on my new property.
And a pretty lady reporter is talking to me. After answering the questions I was allowed to answer, I moved all my Team Rocket stuff down to the B1 floor. There was actually a B2 floor, but no elevator connected to it. Safety reasons, I guess? With this, I decided to change some things. I made it that you can only go to the fifth floor from the basement floor only if you use my key. There are no stairs leading to the fifth floor, they automatically go to the roof. Strange building aesthetics, but it works for me. Now I won’t have to run into anybody when I come and go.
Speaking of, I rebuilt the roof and added some good, sturdy railings along with a tree and some vending machines. A good rest area. We were also planning on making the elevator go up to the roof, so that was another project. But now, the only way to get to the fifth floor, my sleeping quarters, was to start from B1. And to get there, you had to have the black keycard I had to use the elevator. You could also go by stairs, but I will have that blocked…maybe I will just get rid of it.
These should work well. Especially in case if Team Valor comes to make trouble. Which they should want to, if I decide to spill the beans on them. Also, by having a radio station, I can increase my area of influence. I could set up an encrypted sound file at an unused time slot to bring in some good hackers to my side.
It’s a really convoluted idea, but I doubt people will realize I specifically belong to Team Rocket this way. I just need Darryl’s help on the sound file. He should be able to do it.
The station’s name was OCKT. They decided to artistically add a ‘P’ at the beginning to make it POCKT or Pocket Radio. Thanks to the new apps on the poképal, people can catch the news or check the weather, so adding a radio station isn’t that hard. On all of their handouts or applications, I added a little line on the ‘P’ whenever there was a POCKT or Pocket…Making it ROCKT or Rocket if one were to look at the paper just right.
I can always say it was just a prank. It’s not like someone will get arrested just for putting a line to poke fun at the name, right?
Whatever, time to go set up some subliminal messages leading to the B2 floor for my recruits! I won’t allow stupid people in my Team!
