My first day in Team Rocket went something like this.
I went to the local Headquarters and registered as a member. This process felt like I was signing up for the membership to use the pool. There really weren’t that many people here, and none of them were even all that bad. There was a cute clerk lady that would help me through every step of the way. I did need her help! It wasn’t like I was making excuses just to talk to her!
I registered my team and I saw new stuff. Here, Team Rocket listed Pokémon by their battle ability, or Combat Power. The higher the CP, the stronger the Pokémon. My guess is, that Bernie’s Charmander was about 60 CP while my team consisted of 10 to 30 CP. Zubat was actually my strongest.
There was a mission board that would reward me when I completed certain tasks. Catch a certain amount of a certain Pokémon type, battle this many gyms, and even evolve a certain amount of Pokémon! This was going to be fun! It really didn’t feel like I was on the bad guy’s team.
My device was updated so I could receive mail from friends and fellow Team Members. This would help in coordinating attacks on gyms. Come to find out, Team Valor actually does this stuff too, Candela was just mad that I screwed up her cousin’s day.
Pfft…playing favorites.
I once again chat up the pretty clerk girl until she finds something better to do, which didn’t take her very long to do. I decided to go around and capture more Pokémon. I caught a TON of Pidgey, Rattata, and Zubat! What am I going to do with all these Pokémon?!
Luckily, they had an exchange system. This would mean trading leftover Pokémon for rewards. Mainly just food to help specific Pokémon grow stronger. I never really fought, I just went to different Pokéstops and caught lots of Pokémon. I caught Eevee, Venonat, Ekans, Paras, and even a Jigglypuff! I even received some eggs from some of the Pokéstops! I had gotten an incubator upon starting at the rec center yesterday so this helped.
I walked around all over the city as I tried to find more Pokémon. I managed to evolve my Pokémon into Golbat, Pidgeotto, and Raticate. On my way home, I found a baby Horsea stuck in a puddle. Not much happened today, but maybe tomorrow will bring something new.
----------------------------------------
Well, I guess I will try something new. How about the park? Pokémon should be there, right?
Hoooh boy were they there. Along with everybody else. I guess that Willow started distributing these devices to everyone else. Great. The park looks like a ComicCon. Little kids are dressed as their favorite Pokémon, parents are running here and there dragging them along, and more really attractive people!
Well, most of them are normal, but still more attractive than me, anyways. I think I even see someone setting up a gym. Looks like it belongs to Team Mystic.
Dang! Someone already has a 1,000 CP Pokémon?! And it’s a Vaporeon! There is just no way. Luckily, it’s only the morning. I plan on going back home for lunch then coming back.
Is that…a Squirtle?! Haha! And there’s another…three? Wow…are Squirtles actually not rare? Oh? My egg is hatching! A…Magikarp! That means I can get a Gyrados! Hehe, my Golbat is now about 400 CP and I managed to evolve my Pidgeotto to a Pidgeot! I caught a Krabby, Goldeen, Poliwag, and even a Psyduck!
I realized something on my way to headquarters…I suck at battling. I even suck at catching Pokémon.
Well, no. I suck at throwing the pokéballs. If it hits, I usually catch them just fine.
I get back and deposit all my extra Pokémon and register the ones I am going to keep. It looks like I got some awards! Flying Pokémon, water Pokémon, bug Pokémon, normal Pokémon, poison Pokémon, and even one for just Rattata? Well, I managed to receive a new incubator for my eggs I obtained. Time for two more.
Time for lunch!
Hmm…I guess some of these people are from Team Valor. I’m not in the mood for this. Oh well, maybe I will hear something good.
There are three people who all are wearing the emblem of a Moltres on them somewhere. The guy who has it on his hat starts off.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
“Hey man, did you hear? Candela’s cousin she brought in isn’t all that great. He just follows orders. All he is, is a walking piece of eye candy for the girls and regular people.”
Next is the one with the emblem directly on his shirt dead center.
“Ain’t that right? She went through all that trouble for him.”
Here comes the macho dude who tattooed the emblem to his shoulder.
“Yeah, some pipsqueak who wanted to prove himself beat the poor kid in a pokemon match. The little weakling had no chance.”
“Who’s the weakling, the pipsqueak? Or the cousin?”
Thanks, hat man. I was almost about to ask.
“The cousin, of course. Everyone was given thirty minutes to catch pokemon and all the cousin caught was one simple Charmander. The pipsqueak caught five. They may not have been strong, but they were enough to deal with one Charmander.”
This burger is good. I didn’t even notice what it is…is it beef? It doesn’t taste like chicken…It’s…no…
A VEGGIE BURGER?!
Hmm…well it still tastes good…
----------------------------------------
After I return to the park, I don’t catch much else so I go home. Dang, I wish something cool would happen. But it’s not like the world is in danger, or something.
----------------------------------------
Hmm? What is it? I’m tired…Oh? My eggs! Haha! A Clefairy! And…another Zubat…okay, back to bed.
----------------------------------------
Why are there even more people today?! This looks like the mall on Christmas Eve! I can’t catch anything here…well…
My Eevee is evolving! Haha! A Vaporeon! And it even knows Hydropump, immediately bringing its CP to over 400! Bellsprout, more Squirtle, and even some Doduo! I saw an Exeggcute but ran out of pokéballs.
Holy crap! A Pinsir at 402 CP right off the bat! Today’s my lucky day! Oho! My other eggs are hatching! A Voltorb! And…a Gastly! Heehee! Today is so good to me!
Wha…who left a Charmander out here? Poor guy. I guess I’ll just take you home with me.
I guess it’s your lucky day, too, little guy.
“Halt! That was our Charmander!”
What? Your Charmander? Wait…oh, oops.
“What? Your Charmander?”
“Yes. We just ran out of pokéballs and had to get more.”
“But Charmanders don’t naturally appear out here…”
Great, they belong to Team Valor. Why are there a lot of Team Valor people?
“Just hand us back the Charmander and we’ll be on our way.”
HA! They want to rob Team Rocket!
“Then compensate me. Hand over all your pokéballs. I need more and since you just brought some, it works out.”
“Bull! Just hand over the Charmander and we won’t hurt you!”
“Ooh, I bet the Rangers would like to hear about this.”
“Dude, shut up…don’t bring those nightmares here!”
Hehehe, shaking in your baby snakeskin boots?
Actually, is that really snakeskin?
“Fine, but we’ll remember this!”
Aaaaand they’re gone. Good. But for how long?
Oh well. Time to go home.
