Madam Bourget was a commander. A great commander, only forty years old, and leader of her section of the IPCC, the United Republic Police Corps of Caldera. Caldera had been her hope since she was a child; she had not known of any other land like this one. Here, power reigned supreme, but there was also a strict sense of authority. She reveled in her newfound power as she ordered many to fall under her rule. Her family vowed to use authority to protect Caldera, and she had a legacy to uphold.
Outside of her wall-sized window, there were a lot of people. She was working to solve new cases as her high-rise office commanded them. She watched as they worked, smiling at their efforts. She swept her hand over her arm, knocking on it, but only a metal sound echoed over the room. Her black hair slicked back; the hair rolled on the back with gray streaks coming out of it.
She pressed a button, hiding her room from the outside workers who may curiously look up at her office. She slightly pinched her ear and spoke.
"Lieutenant C, have you grabbed the target?”
Lieutenant C pressed a button in his coat as he spoke.
"Franz Ferdinard Jom-Suttur is currently in my custody; he will drop off at the location in T-7 hours and get crowds of forces.” Lieutenant C responded, and the needle poked deeper into his neck as Joshua looked forward.
"So I guess I'm caught now; guess that means we can’t strike a deal, right?" Joshua smiled.
"I would never negotiate with an evil like you; you should be getting rid of it right now.” Lieutenant C seethed at him.
Joshua only smiled, looking back at him with his eyes.
"What's to say? I just cannot escape now; if I wanted to, I could blow up this entire car before you even have a chance to move your fingers.” Joshua explained.
Lieutenant C hesitated for a moment. His hands shook as the needle was leaving the skin slightly. Yet Joshua did not move, and Lieutenant C regained his composure.
"Why should I ever believe what you say? You are sincerely just an evil man. Exactly like the moment you destroyed the Jom-Suttur clan.”
Joshua's smile faded as memories flashed in his head. He did not know how to respond to him. Well, he could not; it was entirely his fault anyway.
"Yeah, but that does not relate to you, and I recommend that you listen to me just for this moment. I believe this will be a good discussion for the both of us.” Joshua pleaded, but not desperately. He never was.
Lieutenant C thought over it for a moment and finally said, “Yes, talk to me about it. I’ll hear you out just once.”
Joshua smiled and said, “I know you’re a reptilian.” The needle poked deeper as Joshua sensed bloodlust in the man behind him.
"You see, I know that you’re not accepted, which is pretty bad, but you should not work under people who won't give you what you want.” Joshua winced.
"And what is that?”
"Freedom, after a few months of staying here, I know what you truly desire; isn't that right?"
Lieutenant C did not respond, but the needle relaxed in his neck. Joshua sighed as he kept his eyes on the road. Looking at the floating packages going to the marble tower in the distance and the other cars on the road floating freely.
"Then how do you suggest that I can obtain my freedom?"
"Pretty easy.” Joshua chuckled. “You know the places; we go get some cash, enough money to make sure you can get out of this planet and live your life somewhere else.”

Lieutenant C thought it over, and then he looked at his coat, where the communication device was, and smiled. Joshua knew that Lieutenant C could not reject this deal because, at any moment, Joshua could release his power and kill him.
"Fine, I have the perfect place.” Lieutenant C changed his facial expression, hiding his smile.
"So, can you get that needle out of my neck, please?" Joshua asked nicely.
Then suddenly the needle was injected into his neck, Joshua’s body glowed, and the car’s movement stopped, starting to flip and tumble down the cliffside.
The two struggled, fighting over power inside the vehicle. Lieutenant C used both his hands, and finally, he injected the serum into the neck of Joshua, but the car tumbled down and hit the ground, getting destroyed.
Smoke erupted from the car, and a voice kept saying, “Self-destruction on 10, 9.” People watched from the road above as they looked down, calling on the police corps to help in this situation, and then the vehicle blew up. Pieces flew in the air, some to the left, some to the right. A few were about to strike bystanders who were trying to help. Everyone looked down regretfully, and they left to go back to their car.

“Madam Bourget, the vehicle containing Class-A threat Franz Ferdinard, and Lieutenant C has exploded, and both are presumed dead.” An officer said he was walking to his room.
She did not say a word but waved her hand to tell the officer to leave her room. Her officer left the room in a hurry, shuffling her feet as papers almost slipped from her hand. She thought back to when Lieutenant C pressed a button to oversee the conversation, and the two talked through their minds.
It seemed he was going along with the plan—to let Joshua’s guard down and to let himself be known as the commander in charge inside the car. Once she heard an explosion, she knew he was gone, but Joshua would never die that easily. She thought deeply before resting her eyes, as they started to hurt from hours of using them to analyze objects. She used her remaining power to show an image of her father, opening her eyes to see his stature popping over her. He was seven feet tall, with a gruff beard and a beer gut. The power he radiated was even felt through a screen, and Madam Bourget just stared at him.
"What would you do, pops?” She thought, and she closed her eyes, resting and wondering what she should do next.
–
Madam Bourget's eyes opened as she lay in bed. Her attention shifted slowly toward her alarm clock, which released the soothing sound of birds. She slowly lifted herself and rubbed her eyes, grabbing a bottle of pills beside her and swallowing them.
Her eyes suddenly became no longer sensitive and radiated a blue color. It was only a byproduct of the enhancements she had gotten. Though her eyes were affected, it offered her great knowledge; with only a glance, she knew who somebody was and all the information that was available in the database. Her eyes were worth millions of dollars.
As she scanned the objects in her room, making sure nothing was displaced, she sighed as she pulled herself across her bed. Clapping her hands, a machine started to run through the wall and came to her, holding her suit for the day.
"Good morning, Madam, The weather today is 57 degrees; today is also Thursday, so I picked a more exotic outfit for you to wear. Is this alright?"The machine asked.
Madam took a close look at the suit; everything was blue but with a gray vest and a skirt that combined the two colors.
"That is fine, J-A-M; now I must insist that my breakfast be ready as soon as I enter the shower,” Madam replied.
"Absolutely,” J-A-M said, before continuing back towards its original location.
The Madam looked out from the window in front of her, stretching out from the mountains of her home, where the city of Caldera was shown. It was a normal day today, stretched in its eternal glory. With the skyscrapers towering over the rest of the buildings and the early morning commutes, the view was exhilarating.
Hey, my eyes still looked the same, and its blue glow was still radiating. Bourget grabbed her clothes and walked to her bathroom. The door opened automatically as she took off her clothes and entered the shower. She put the water into the cold and stood there in thought. Her body felt lifeless, releasing herself into the open air. Water splashed over her, and the cold crashed on her like a wave in the ocean.
Basking in the water, the faucet was suddenly turned off, and her eyes showed a glimmer of light. She grabbed a towel from the rack and dried herself, the robot cleaning up the wet spots she made behind her. She looked at herself in the mirror and put on lotion, followed by a mask. Looking at herself in disgust, she washed the mask away quickly and looked at her skin, which was as clear as day. She blew her hair dry in the process and proceeded to have her robot butler braid her hair.
"Juice"
"Yes, Madam,” the robot responded.
"Any messages for me...personal?" she asked.
"None, Madam.” The robot is monotoned.
She looked at herself clearly, touching her face.
"That is…good,”
The madam walked away as her hair was finished braiding and her eyes showed a more energetic light, but the glare was still as cold as ever. She entered her kitchen, slightly yawning. The marble and feet are pressing on one another.
As she entered the kitchen, she saw an unruly mess, a plate misplaced, and her eyes widened. She quickly grabbed her virtual pistol by her side, but a gun was already pointed at her head.
"Calm down, Madam, let us talk," the man said, his voice snarling.
"Who are you, you bitch?"
"That is not a nice language, madam." A familiar voice rang.
"Her eyes widened even more, but she only let out a chuckle."
"So the planet destroyer meets me, Franz Ferdinard Jom-Suttur.” She replied.
Joshua turned the corner to face her, pushing the hunter's gun closer to her head. The barrel is staring her down.
"Let us talk.” He asked, grinning.
