A Cautious Path I

As I observed Evan skillfully navigating the drone's flight, I couldn't resist the temptation to check my own screen. Curiosity filled me as I noticed the Kingdom Information tab, adorned with several enticing "+ " signs, hinting at a trove of details waiting to be explored.

I tapped on the first one, revealing a holographic Map. showing the entire layout of the kingdom and its surroundings waiting to be explored and developed further.

I leaned closer to Evan, eagerly showing him the terrain information on my blue screen. "Take a look, Evan," I exclaimed. "We've got mountains, plains and some narrow rivers…"My speech came to a halt when my eyes fell upon the word "river." realizing that while it could be helpful, but it was quite far from our current location.

Evan, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, your map seems to have more details. Must be because of your King role," he said with a playful tone. Pointing at a specific yellow dot on the map, he continued, "Look, it's showing the location of some ores over that mountain. We might need those."

I let out a frustrated sigh and crumpled the cloth in my hands. "I really need to study this arrangement or these controller things," I muttered, feeling overwhelmed by the complexities. "It might take a few days to get the hang of it. I just hope nothing bad happens in the meantime. This sucks!" I grumbled, feeling a mix of annoyance and determination to figure things out.

I glanced over at Evan, who was controlling the drone, as it soared high above us. "Any signs of trouble?" I asked eagerly. Evan squinted at the screen for a moment before shaking his head. "Nothing yet. Just the usual barren landscape," he replied. But as I turned my attention back to the horizon, my heart skipped a beat. "Wait, Evan, do you see that?" I pointed towards a distant area where a group of shadows seemed to be moving.

Evan adjusted the drone's camera and zoomed in. "Oh no, those are definitely monsters," he confirmed, his voice tinged with concern.I looked at my map and noticed a marked area with a cluster of red dots. "Whoa, that's a monster zone," I remarked, my eyes widening. "But it looks like it's quite far from here?"

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

Evan glanced over and raised an eyebrow. "Why does your statement sound like a question?" he asked, his curiosity piqued. “It does seem far from our current location. Let's hope it stays that way." "Hey, Evan," I began, glancing over at him, "Since you're the wizzz…a...” But before I could even finish my sentence, Evan had already checked and was ready with the answer.

A thoughtful expression on his face. "Yeah, I've already checked my skills," he replied. "I can create a barrier, but I'm not sure if it's strong and long enough to cover the whole area." I sighed, feeling a mix of relief and concern. "Well, it's better than nothing," I said, trying to stay positive. "At least we'll have some protection if we run into trouble."

Hey, Amy," Evan said with a hint of concern in his voice. "My MP is still pretty low, and I'm still gaining EXP points. I'm not sure if I'll be able to cast powerful spells yet." I nodded understandingly. "Don't worry, Evan," I reassured him. "We'll take it step by step.” "Alright, let's do a trial test, Mr. Wizard," I said, addressing Evan with a playful tone. "Enchant your spell and show us what you've got."

Evan closed his eyes and chanted the skills incantation, "Phenixora Aegis!" As he spoke the words, a brilliant, glowing barrier materialized around the farm, shimmering with hues of blue and gold. As Evan completed the spell, he swayed slightly, feeling the drain on his magical energy. I quickly noticed his condition. We marveled at the square-shaped barrier surrounding us, I realized that Evan had forgotten about the drone. "Oh, Evan, don't forget to bring the drone inside the barrier!" I reminded him.

As the drone approached the barrier, we held our breath in anticipation. However, just before it could smoothly glide through, a fierce and monstrous bird swooped down from above and launched a surprise attack on the drone. "Evan, look out!" I shouted, but it was too late. The monstrous bird sharp talons clutched the drone, causing it to spiral out of control. The drone managed to escape the monstrous bird's grasp, but not before taking some damage.

"We need to do something!" Evan exclaimed, clearly worried about the fate of the drone. "I said to you, you're the wizard... jeez..." I trailed off, frustration evident in my voice.

Grandpa Bo's voice echoed through the air, a magnificent transformation took place. Jack, the loyal companion and pet rooster, evolved into a majestic Rooster Griffin, a formidable creature with the strength and courage to take on the monstrous bird. With a mighty whoosh, the Rooster Griffin sprang into action, its wings beating with power as it engaged in a fierce aerial battle with the menacing mostrous bird. The clash of feathers and roars filled the air as the two creatures fought for dominance.
