Chapter 5: Teleportation magic

Chapter 5: Teleportation magic

Erica's obstruction was to be expected, and Victor soon realized this. He had no intention of sitting idly by.

Just then, the bell suddenly rang, and Victor smiled at her.

"If you have any questions, you can come discuss them after class."

He had already finished the class, and his performance was quite remarkable. At least no one could find any fault with him, so there was no need to get sidetracked at this point.

But Erica did not want to go along with Victor's wishes and continued to press him, saying, "As far as I know, professors are obligated to answer students' questions."

"Of course, if your title as a professor is just a facade, then you don't have to answer me."

Her aggressive questioning did not provoke the displeasure of the surrounding people, but rather made them more eager to see how Victor would respond.

"How impolite," Victor sighed, rubbing his forehead. In this gathering of "industry insiders", his feud with Erica was already well-known.

Everyone knew about his flirtation with underage girls, so they were naturally delighted to see the two of them in conflict. Who knows, this might be an opportunity to get the scoop first-hand, and have a headline for tomorrow's news.

Victor didn't want to let these people have their way, or else he would become the new laughing stock of the academy and even society.

Of course, that wouldn't happen. But he also didn't want to be publicly embarrassed by Erica.

At least give her a little lesson.

Facing Erica's question, Victor didn't show any weakness. His expression darkened as he pointed to the desk in front of him, saying word by word, "This is my classroom, my rules, and I have the final say."

"And if you think you can use the title of professor to morally blackmail me, I advise you to give up that idea."

Victor looked up, his cold gaze conveying a hint of disdain.

"I refuse to answer your question."

As soon as he finished speaking, he prepared to leave the classroom, but as soon as he lifted his foot, the surrounding scene began to blur, flashing with bluish lightning.

When he came to his senses, he was back on the podium.

Victor stared intently and saw a faintly glowing blue magic circle.

"A teleportation array..."

"Didn't expect her to have set this up at the door."

Erica's face wore a proud and disdainful expression as she fixed her gaze on Victor, as if trying to make him reveal a hint of panic and timidity for her to savor.

Then she said to Victor, "This is the question I wanted to ask."

"If Professor Victor can't answer it, then you can't get out."

The people around were stunned, their eyes wide open.

What the hell?

This is... teleportation magic!?

"The genius student of the Royal Magic Academy actually managed to secretly set up a teleportation array."

"Is this the power of the top students at the Royal Magic Academy? A second-level mage is so formidable?"

"Teleportation magic can be set up so mysteriously and quickly?"

"This magical proficiency is terrifying!"

Victor did not answer directly, because he had inherited Victor's level and magic, but not his knowledge.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

He only knew how to use magic, but not the principles behind it.

It's like people knowing they can start a fire with a lighter, but not knowing why the lighter can start a fire.

Unexpectedly, Erica had accidentally hit Victor's blind spot.

Vega's voice sounded in his mind, "Listen to what I say."

Hearing Vega's voice, Victor felt his confidence swell, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

"Then let me give an extra lesson."

He pointed to the decomposed array of the teleportation magic and said to Erica in the audience, "Just disrupt the weak connections between the many small arrays, it's very simple."

With that, he extended a finger and arranged a series of runes, which instantly inserted into the core of the magic circle, radiating light towards the small arrays.

The magic circle began to become unstable and dimmed.

Seeing her teleportation array easily resolved by Victor, Erica's expression grew heavy, and beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.

She could clearly feel the connection between the magic circle and herself gradually weakening. No matter how much magical power she poured in, she could not delay the disappearance of the magic circle.

She had lost the ability to sustain it, and the connection with the magic circle was completely severed.

Victor snapped his fingers, and one of Erica's hairpins suddenly appeared in his hand.

"I'll borrow this hairpin for a bit."

Erica was stunned, watching helplessly as her hairpin was taken away.

Her teleportation magic had been used against her.

The others were still craning their necks to watch the excitement, and the faded teleportation array suddenly lit up again, but it seemed to be under Victor's control. He teleported the flower pot in front of the window to the podium, and then the wall clock to the ceiling.

It seemed that in this room, he could freely teleport any object he wished.

In the end, he moved Erica's seat, teleporting her from the front row to the very back.

Victor listed a rune, after a series of operations, the teleportation array restored to its original state.

He gently placed Erica's hairpin on the podium and said to Erica behind him,

"Okay, you can try activating it again now."

Erica stared at him with a resentful look and tried to activate the array again.

The hairpin on the podium suddenly disappeared again, not returning to Erica's hand nor appearing in Victor's hand.

Victor still maintained his poker face and said indifferently, "Congratulations, your hairpin has been teleported to another dimension."

Erica was dumbfounded. No matter how she manipulated the magic array, the disappeared hairpin never came back.

Victor had not stopped his movements and continued, "This array also has another solution."

He snapped his right fingers, and the Mage Hand on his right hand emitted six beams of light, and six magic arrays lit up simultaneously in the air.

The surrounding people exclaimed, "Multiple spellcasting!? Even six-fold?"

"How is this possible?"

"There's nothing impossible for Victor, he's a third-tier mage!"

"The confrontation between the genius professor of the Royal Magic Academy and the genius student, it's worth it this time!"

Victor waved his hand, ignoring their praises, and calmly said, "Just suppressing it directly is enough."

With that, the Mage Hand gently pinched the air, and the six arrays lit up simultaneously.

Boom!

Under the terrifying magical pressure, the teleportation array appeared with a shocking crack.

And then it disappeared.

Erica's hairpin never came back, she lowered her head, her body trembling slightly.

It was unclear what expression she had on her face.

Victor chuckled lightly, preparing to turn around and leave.

"Miss Erica, remember, this is the answer your teacher has given you, along with a little lesson."

"The teacher is busy and wants to get off class on time."

He didn't want to care about what would happen afterwards, and walked directly out of the classroom.

As soon as he stepped out the door, a wave of voices erupted from the classroom behind him, but that was no longer his concern.

......

Victor returned to his office, killing time. As the last bell of the school rang, he remembered the library and decided to go there to see what he could find.

He directly teleported from the Mage Tower to the library, and the library he saw was just like his memory from the game.

He randomly picked up a book and started flipping through it, when suddenly a dialogue box appeared in front of him:

[Learn Tier 1 Magic, Fireball]

[Required Materials: Flame Flower, Halfling Feather]

This was why Victor had previously bought so many materials, because they could not only be used to make props, but also consumed in the library to learn magic.

Learning magic naturally required some money, but as a lord, the wealthy Victor didn't mind it at all. This was also exploiting a loophole in the game.

Those materials all required killing neutral monsters outside to extract. But Victor could completely rely on his financial power to buy them crazily in the shop.

Seeing that it was still early, Victor frantically learned in the library, mastering many elementary spells on the first floor.

Until he had exhausted all his materials and half of the money in his pocket. He had basically learned everything that could be learned.

By this time, it was dusk, and the golden color streamed into the library, turning the floor yellowish.

As the sky darkened, a discordant light suddenly brightened in the depths of the library.

It seemed he was not the only one 'studying' hard in the library.

Victor wanted to see who it was, and followed the light.

When he saw the person, he was slightly surprised.

"Hernie?"

That was his teaching assistant, and at the moment, the other party was sitting at the desk, pen in hand, writing frantically.

He could even hear the other party muttering to himself.

"I'll let Professor Victor lecture with this thesis tomorrow..."
