Chapter 20: The First BOSS

Chapter 20: The First BOSS

At this moment, Victor was at the bottom of the volcano, inside the sealed alien space.

He had his hands in his pockets, his trench coat fluttering under the heat wave.

A sentence automatically flashed through his mind.

[That year, with my hands in my pockets, I didn't know what an opponent was].

An astonishing pillar of fire came at him, Victor calmly looked at it, and the spell formation under his feet instantly raised a curtain, easily fending off the attack.

With the countless spell formations, he instantly moved around, waves spreading across the sky.

The huge boss was like a large and playful toy in his eyes.

Gulleton's body gradually lifted, unexpectedly carrying a small mountain on his back.

Lava gushed out from above his body, raising gravel and sweeping it along.

The gravel ran through his body, but it was as if it hit a curtain of water.

A stream of water fell, and the original Victor disappeared.

[Second Order Magic, Water Illusion]

In the next second, the real Victor appeared behind the Wraith and coalesced in his hand to form a tidal lance cast from a stream of water, stabbing Gulleton in the butt.

Because of the elemental restraint, Gulleton felt the damage from the water lance very strongly.

Taking the pain, it was angered and lava was sprayed towards Victor once again.

Seeing Gulleton's output getting fiercer and fiercer, Victor easily dodged those deadly attacks with his dodge invincibility.

As soon as Gulleton raised its hand, Victor knew what it was farting.

Gulleton stabbed both palms into the ground, and a pillar of rushing fire erupted beneath Victor's feet.

Victor subconsciously waved his hand.

[Second Order Magic, Water Curtain]

The watery blue film that was instantly generated resisted the attack of the pillar of fire.

Gulleton narrowed his eyes at Victor who dealt with it easily and held his heart in his throat, letting out a long whistle to the sky to exhale his heart's unwillingness.

After the long battle, Victor was still as relaxed as he was at the beginning.

But Gulleton's blood level had also dropped by almost only a few tenths of a percent.

Seeing that Victor was able to deal with it so easily, Vega instantly fell into self-reflection.

To be able to fight Calamity evenly, this guy, was he a human?

Unable to figure it out, it simply gave up thinking and shouted at Victor, saying.

"Hey, it's already been a few hours! Do you still want to keep fighting!?"

Victor pondered slightly when he heard Vega say that.

When he first saw the Gulleton in the game, he, along with the allied forces of players, had fought it for three days and three nights.

Then it was ......

"Another three days then."

Victor rubbed his fists together, he was very much looking forward to this good fight.

......

[Second Order Magic, Death Ritual]

[Second Order Magic, Still Water]

......

Countless moves were used at Victor's fingertips, and spell formations shone in the air one after another, like a star under a black cloud.

Vega looked at Victor who was pouring out spells and was completely shaken in the air.

"Bastard, this guy is perverted."

"Where is this the strength of a third-rank mage."

Numerous rushing wave attacks of various colors continued to wear down the rushing demons.

The surrounding mountains and rocks were also faded away by the intense aura.

Gulleton was attacked by so many spells that it felt like a spike hitting its body, not fatal but painful.

Its tail lashed out, and the narrower crater was violently sliced in half.

It rumbled into the lava and splashed up ten thousand feet.

Viktor stomped his feet in a black formation and instantly disappeared into the black mist.

Reappearing on the other side of the intact crater, he seized the gap in the attack and continued his output.

Gulleton opened his fangs and produced a dazzling sun-like fireball poised in his throat.

Boom!

The fireball erupted violently and attacked on top of the mountain on the side.

The mountain and rocks cracked, and smoke rushed into the sky.

Victor pinched up the spell and replaced his position with the Icy Carapace buried not far away.

The Ice Carapace took the sudden face of the spell instead of him, turning into vapor and annihilating in between the air.

[Second Order Magic, Ice Carapace Replacement]

The rest of his long-distance teleportation was on cooldown, and the maximum dodging distance of Ice Substitute was held by Victor.

The sand and gravel splashed up and gently swept over his clothes.

He didn't take a single bit of damage, and the boss's skill brushed against him.

Victor clasped his hands together, and a giant door lit up with white light appeared behind him.

[Third Order Summoning, White Spirit Evil Word]

With Victor's command, the huge white marble door behind him slowly opened.

Spraying mist instantly swept over the entire volcano.

Vega, whose eyes were instantly obscured by the white mist, shouted at the top of his voice, "Victor! Victor! I'm still here! Don't let what you summoned attack me!"

With Vega's insight, it certainly knew exactly what Victor had summoned.

The white spirit spoke evil words, and the enemy did not know what to do.

Gulleton was enveloped by this white mist and kept waving his giant claws in an attempt to dislodge the mist.

However, the white mist was wrapped around it like a spider's web, and no matter how it was torn, it could not be pulled apart.

A pair of long, thin, pale arms like a withered man slowly stretched out and grabbed at Gulleton.

Gulleton's head was grabbed by the hands and began to tear towards the door.

However, because the weight of the Lava Demon God was simply too heavy, no matter how much the White Spirit tugged, it did nothing.

And so the White Door began to shake.

The first thing to come out of the White Spirit's body was a head or something like a head.

Seven eyes covered a circle of the head, and each gaze caused Gulleton to feel intense vertigo.

Its body was still ripping out, the lower half of its body twisting together like three covering pythons, covering the lava of the volcano's floor.

It broke through the skin from the back of its head and neck, and a third arm appeared stiffly.

Pulling out the spine of its body, it transformed into a razor-sharp blade that cleaved through Gulleton's rocky armor.

Victor could only hold his forehead and sigh as he saw the white door collapse.

"This guy is still so reckless."

The summon wasn't as strong as him, and the only advantage was that it was more resistant to punching than him.

With the white spirit pestering him, Victor drew back and recast dozens of weakened magic spells at the Wraith, continuing to prepare for the next round.

Victor pulled out some materials from his backpack and crafted up some magic props on the spot, throwing them at the boss in passing.

The effect was minimal.

"Better than nothing."

Vega looked at him and reassured himself.

Soon, Gulleton's blood bar emptied about ten percent later.

The flames in Gulleton's eyes became brightly colored, and the lava in his body drained away rapidly.

Between its hands, it was wrapped tightly in a fierce burst of incomparable flames. Rock spikes were also gradually generated on its tail.

Viktor's eyes lit up and a feeling of dryness arose in his heart.

He recovered the feeling of once fighting.

That excitement filled his brain with blood...

Under this form, Gulleton's defense increased drastically, while its skills were also strengthened a lot.

This was also the real reason why it was called the Furnace Demon Beast.

The flames transformed into magma, filling the ground with lava and leaving Victor with nowhere to land.

The White Spirit also screamed as it was stung by the reinforced environment.

"Since there's no place where I can land, I'll make my own."

Victor said, drawing a regular square in the air.

A ringing finger snapped and a piece of water vaporized into extremely dense ice suspended in the air.

The battle continued as Victor stood on top of the ice and continued to cast spells.

While the outside world, Mount Vesuvius was amazing.

A group of knights had long gone or the town at the foot of the mountain to evacuate the crowd, leaving only Gwen and a few knights to stay behind and retreat halfway up the mountain, always keeping an eye on the volcano to see if there would be any more special anomalies.

As Gwen's intuition predicted, it appeared.

They raised their heads and stared at the surface of the volcano as it gradually turned red, a vapor steaming up from the crater as if the outer shell had fallen off to reveal the true color inside.

"Knight Commander, this crater is already hot as a sheet of iron!"

One of the knights following her reminded.

Gwen's eyes stared and she turned her head to inform a few knights that

"Quickly! Report to the royal capital immediately! Request reinforcements!"

The knights nodded and ran towards the town to contact the royal capital with magic crystals.

......

Duke's mansion.

Erica was in her room, clutching a bottle of blue potion, sitting on her bed with dull eyes.

She felt like all the knowledge she had gained in her life was all for nothing.

If it was before, she would have felt that spending so much money on this measly few bottles of potion must have been a loss.

"Just this one bottle of potion can be sold for a thousand Gio?"

But all she could think in her head now was, "How can this thing only sell for a thousand Gio?"

She was staring at the bottle of potion in her hand out of her mind, her mind in turmoil.

The Duke hadn't returned home yet from his errand, but she couldn't wait to tell her father about the discovery.

"Lord Duke, do you need me to go and inform Missy that you are back?"

Hearing the servant's voice speaking outside the door, she was like an excited deer that scurried out with a whoosh.

As a result, Duke Revy's reply left her a little overwhelmed.

"No, tell her that I'm going on a long trip and won't be back for a few days."

Erica, who was standing in the doorway, heard the whole thing and stopped moving.

Duke Revy saw that his beloved daughter had heard it and showed a bitter smile.

"Erica, the Emperor has ordered a mission and needs urgent support."

Confused as she was, she couldn't help but ask the Revy, "Father, you're a duke, why do you need to travel personally?"

Duke Revy greeted her as she came forward, and Erica obediently walked over.

He stroked Erica's head and gently explained that

"Good daughter, this time is not a small matter, as long as the third-rank mages in the royal capital are going, second-rank mages are naturally in the queue."

"Because you are relatively young, you will not be summoned by the royal family."

Erica suddenly remembered Victor who had gone on a mission the other day.

He was also a Third Order Mage.

Now that his father was also summoned, were they going to the same place?

"What exactly is happening there? So many mages are needed?"

Erica asked the doubt in her mind, and before the Duke could continue explaining, she scrambled to say.

"I want to go too!"

Hearing Erica say this, Duke Rivet instantly became much more serious and immediately refused.

"No, you're still young, and you have to go to school."

"I'm not young, I'm a second-order mage now, if all the second-order and third-order mages in the royal capital are leaving, the academy is naturally no exception, am I going to go to the dean to teach me personally?"

She knew that the dean wouldn't leave the royal capital easily, because he was the only fourth-ranked holy mage within the royal capital, and needed to personally sit in the royal capital to deter those wrongdoers hiding in the shadows.

As for the others, Erica was conceited and confident that no one in the academy could teach her anymore except Victor.

"Even if you say so ......"

The Duke thought carefully for a moment, hesitating.

As Erica had said, she wasn't getting any younger.

At seventeen, she would be coming of age next year.

He couldn't keep Erica in his protective hands all the time, then she would always be a fledgling.

Erica had her dreams, so when necessary, he had to let go of Erica.

He couldn't let his excessive fatherly love break his daughter's high and proud wings.

"All right, Erica, I'll allow you to come along with me on this trip."

"The place we're going to is Mount Vesuvius, and the Royal Knights have signaled for rescue."

"To be precise, Vesuvius may be about to erupt."
