He changed into a human and turned around as Max led Hunter inside their new territory. Zack too looked at Max as he folded his arms.

"Do you think this is a good idea?" Zack whispers to Shadow.

The blond witch shakes his head. "No. I don't."

Shadow sighed as he began his walk to Max. "I'll go talk to him."

When he reached behind Max, Shadow grabbed his arm gently, and whisked him off to the side. Max gave him a confused look. "What?"

Shadow looked over his friend's shoulder and noticed that the other black wolf was staring at them.

"Can I talk to you...in private?"

Max nodded and walked with him. The blond witch led him outside of the cave, and made sure no one was listening in. "Scratch, are you sure this is the right thing to do?"

Max chuckled. "Of course I do! Why, is there something you're picking up that I'm not?"

"Look, there's something off about him. I don't think we should trust him. We have to be super careful!"

Max smirked and clapped a hand on Shadow's shoulder. "You're a good friend. I think for now, we should at least give him a chance and give him shelter." He then walked back to the cave, leaving Shadow defeated. He put his hands on his hips, and stared at the ground.
