Out of the Village

When the boy returned to the village, a lot of villagers were at the entrance, it seemed that they were waiting for the boy’s return. Out of the crowd came Marw’s mother, with a worried yet dissatisfied look. “Marw! What happened? We were so worried about you!” His mother cried as she held him tight. Marw replied, “I was out in the mountains to pick some berries.” His mother was quite a beautiful woman in her 30's with beautiful hair.

“Then why are your clothes so dirty?”

“Oh, I just encountered a wolf and killed it.”

“You said you would not use those powers for killing.”

“It was only self-defense.”

“I highly doubt it. I just know you too much, you’re just as reckless as your father.” She sighed.

They then headed back to their cottage on the edge of the village. Marw’s father who had passed away was an adventurer who was proficient in swordsmanship. Marw’s swordsmanship was also as flawless as his father's. Since he had vigorous training in the past 5 years with his father. As the next day came, Marw decided to leave his village to pursue his dreams. He was so determined to reach his goals. And so Marw told his mother that he was going to adventure across the nation and find interesting facts about the outside world. He told his mother that he is going to follow the same path as his father, to die as a knowledgeable person. He thought his mother was about to object him as soon as he finished his sentence, but instead, she hugged him and told him, “Your father was a brave man who saved me because he was adventuring, if he had not walked his path, then I would be soon dead, so help people along the way during your journey. That’s why I have no reason to decline. Follow your path, son.” As Marw packed up his belongings, he opened the door, and headed out towards the light he was waiting for so long…
