Prologue: Clash of Dimensions

Prologue: Clash of Dimensions

The universe, countless stars and planets, worlds strewn along the galaxies. Many are unaware of the others existence, just as much as they are unaware of them. Every world is unique in it's own way, that is to say that some of them are more advanced than the others, while a few contain elements and knowledge none other has. All of them seperated in their own dimensions to thrive in.

One such world is Treia, a world that gave rise to many myths and legends as time went on. Sometimes a new hero would rise, when other times darkness takes over the land. Just as time went on many races fell or went into hiding, while others rose and thrived like a phoenix from the ashes. Many were unaware of their own past, just as much as they couldn't predigt the future ahead of them.

They were unaware of their own position, but unlike many others, they knew that they weren't alone in the universe. Though rare, sometimes dimensions crashed into each other and individuals or items get sent in between the worlds. This often led into a new era, either good or bad, resulting in a cycle of neverending change.

Treia is part of a mobile dimension, that is to say that it quite often clashes with other dimenions that are either still or mobile like itself. And at the moment that very dimension was on collision course with the dimension containing a small blue planet that revolved around it's sun.

Normally a dimensional collision doesen't affect the dimensions itself or the worlds contained within it, it only leads to the short opening of a hole, gate even between them and their worlds.

Such an Event occured in the middle of july in earths calender, as the only witnesses of the event vanished with it. As such no one undersood what exactly occured that day. And within said group of people sent through the void between dimensions, there was a young boy, a child even, who was shocked when he witnessed the rift. No one knows if it was fate, coincidence or terrible luck. But definitly, that day would never be forgotten, or would it?

POV: Arin

Tick, tack, tick ,tick

The sound of hitting the mouse and keyboard can be heard, as I am curretly playing a videogame on my rooms computer. It is a small computer with just enough calculation power to run some old strategie games, but that doesn't matter. The Game was fun and the AI on hard difficulty nearly got me. At the moment I am inside my room of the Orphanage I am living in. Why am I an orphan you ask?, I don't know either. Maria, the orphanage-manager once told me that I was left on their door-step with a small letter containing the name Arin. With that said, this is why I am here and where my Name comes from.

You're propably asking why I own a computer even though I live in an orphanage, number one: I've been crafting various things ever since I was little, sometimes even selling a thing or two which goes into my pocket-money. And second: I am friends with the manager of the scrap collection-site. One day he came by, bringing me an old computer in exchange for a small fox-plushie I made. He said it was for his dauther's birthday, but I believe he took it for himself, because the way he hogged and stared at it wasn't normal.

Back to the Topic, I leave the computer as I wobbly take a few steps and land face first in my bed. Some of you might have guessed but even though I have very dexterous hands and probably acceptable intellect, I have very weak legs. I maybe can walk around 100 meters before I collapse, don't even mention running. This is also one of the reasons why I often craft or create various things with my hands.

Even now, most of my shelves contain hundreds of small plushies and figurines made out of wood and stone. Of course various drawings were also pinned onto the walls, with most of the Pictures depicting felines and canines such as foxes, wolfes and tigers. As for why? No Reason actually, just cause I think they are cool. I like them, and so does sky. You wanna know who that is? It's a small fairy that lives with me here, she sometimes vanishes into nothingness and returns when I'm bored. Everyone says that I am imagening things, maybe even beeing a bit crazy. But who knows, even if she would be just me dreaming or my imagination, she always listens to my worries and comforts me. While laying on my bed, talking with sky, the door suddenly opens and Maria enters.

"Hey Arin, food is ready... Oh my, you are talking with yourself again, you should really get rid of this bad habit of yours you know." (Maria)

Maria smiles towards me as she's saying that. Well what can I do, I am talking to Sky next to me... Wait, where did she go? Its annoying when she suddenly vanishes like that.

Looking around the room searching for Sky, Maria suddenly starts to snicker and then coughs once aloud to get my attention.

"Arin, come back to your senses. Food is ready and I am here to help you go downstaires, I don't want the same thing happening as two weeks ago. By the way it's ghackets and elbow macaroni, your favorite, so come now.” (Maria)

“Ye~hes” (Arin)

Hearing her say that with a wide smile, I nearly jump off my bed. Sadly, my legs don't play along so I can only lift myself off with a bit of help from Maria. But who cares about that? It's my favorite food today, and actually Elisa's cooking is by far the best. Elisa is the chef here in this orphanage, as well as the children's psychologist, though i'm not quite sure what a psychologist is. She always says that its a job like a doctor, yet he mostly looks at our thoughts instead of our body. Actually isn't that quite scary... does she read our minds? It is possible as she somehow always knows when we don't want to eat our vegetables and forces us to eat them, since she says it's important for our growth.

Lost in thoughts we already arrived in the small canteen with three big tables and benches on each side of them. Most of the Kids are already here, they come by themselves when they hear the food-bell, but I am a special case. Because of my legs they need to come pick me up and help me down, so stairs are in my eyes the enemy.

I am seated at the Table closest to the kitchen together with Markus and Anna next to me. The two of them are cool, but many of the other kids make fun of me for being unable to walk freely. Still, they beg for a plushie from time to time resulting in me being acknowledged. Many of the kids luckily only poke fun or play pranks on me, even though I don't like it, I can't be angry at them since I'd probably do the same thing if I were in their shoes. So actually, even if not actively, I get along with most of the other kids here in this orphanage. However, not everything is perfect.

From the around 32 kids that live here there is one that dislikes me a lot. I don't know the specific reason, yet Benjamin, Benji for short, keeps bullying me on the grander scale. Just about a week ago he spraycolored the new figurine I created in the creative-room.

Well it is just a room with all kinds of materials, though everytime we try to use dangerous tools a overseer, either Maria or Elisa, has to be there so no accidents occure. That aside, I was really sad when I saw my new Tiger Figurine completly dyed red with spray-paint. I would try to remove it, but that would damage the figurine even further so I just took some white color and overpainted some spots. Never seen a white-striped red Tiger before? Now you have! Well anyways, Benji got punished for bullying me with one week no desert and no pocket-money.

Lost in thought I hear a short crisp sound as a plate filled with food is placed in front of me. The tempting scent waved into my nose, causing my mouth to water. Seriously, Elisa's the best chef around. Anna, seeing my excited expression starts to pat my head. Even though she is only older by 2 years, with her beeing 10, I am still about a head shorter than her. Well I'm naturally shorter that most of my age, but i'd really like her to stop ruffling up my hair. Mostly because I don't want any hair in my food, it's annoying. Seeing me glare at her she pulls back, while opposite of me Markus starts to laugh shamelessly. Still, as the noise grows louder around us we start to dig into our food. It tasts good, like any other time she cooks, maybe even a bit better.

Normally after lunch, everyone would go back to school, but at the moment we have summer holiday so everyone is doing something on their own. Most of the others leave to play some games in the garden. I tell Maria that I want to join them so she brings over my wheelchair. After making myself comfortable, I am driven outside by Anna who seems to have a lot of fun pushing me. Well, not that I mind. Leaving through the door to the garden, I reflexivly close my eyes because of the sunlight. After a short adjustment of my eyes, I can finally see what's happening in my view. Matthias and the others are playing hide and seek, a game I am more or less unable to play. I kinda feel sad beeing unable to play along, so I ask Anna to bring me over to the flower-beds. She Happily agrees and pushes my wheelchair along the stone paved path leading through the garden directly to the flower-field.

Sitting in my wheelchair, I watch the flowers and occasionally Anna, Markus and the rest as they are playing around. At the moment they all gather toghether, probably deciding on a new game. Just as I was turning around to look at the REGA-Helicopter flying in the distance, Markus calls me over. It seems they want to play mafia now, meaning even I could play along. Deciding to do so, I turn my wheelchair and move slowly in their direction. Arriving at the Stone border, I then slowly stand up and walk the last 8 meters to where the other are gathered at the moment. It honestly feels weird with everyone staring at me while I am trying to walk over. Only 5 more meters... WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!?!

"Hey guys, beneath you...!!" (Arin)

Before I could warn them of the weird black hole that opened up beneath them, they already got swallowed by it. They didn't even have the chance to scream. Just as Markus and Anna were about to be swallowed, I wanted to take a step forward to help them, but my body froze out of fear as sweat started to build up on my forehead. Just one step and I could..., before I could even think any further, the hole became larger and started to expand in my direction. I want to flee, but my legs wouldn't take even one step. I feel like a mouse, cornered by a snake. Fear taking over my body, I realized a little late that I was already swallowed by the weird wormhole.

Descending into darkness I try to grab the air above me, but as expected, useless. Falling further and further, I begin to have a hard time breathing, when suddenly a huge pressure hits me and my consciousness is sent flying.
