The One Moon Chapter 29
Everyone got ready for the recording and walked towards the main building together but then J boys and Swan boys separated to talk about their stage performance. It was a contest after all.
Everyone went to their private practice rooms and conversed.
“Junghwan, what do you think of doing something unique and combining voices and our personal dreams into the choreography of a song?”
“Yeah, doesn’t sound bad. Can we work on the choreography in a week tho?”
“Yeah, I can make it simpler and we could focus on the story and vocal,” said woong
“Sounds like a good idea, let’s talk about any dreams we’ve had recently or an interesting one then,” said Haru
Han didn’t really have any nice dreams but he did have one where a baby dragon grew up and wreaked havoc in Seoul. That was one of his few interesting dreams.
“Han, what about you. Tell us about a dream,” said Siwoo
“Well, it’s quite interesting, actually. a baby dragon grew up and wreaked havoc in Seoul. A disaster like dream.”
“Wow, your dreams are creative! Not fair, all I get are dreams about everyday life. I even dreamed about Han drinking all the chocolate milk and getting fat.” said Haru
“...” Is that an everyday thing, you think I’ll grow fat, haha” lol
“Yeah, you have to be. Your still quite skinny so it’s better for you to be fat anyway.” Haru nodded his head.

“What now? You little rascal” and Han went up to him and knocked his head.
It was a funny scene. They chose to sing Icon Why Why Why. It was a nice song about love and heartbreak. It was a pop song with a melodic tune to it and decided it would match dreams like Han’s at moments representing heartbreak along with other everyday dreams and others. Then, the energy would change and more positive dreams would show up on the tv background.
They kept some parts of the original choreography. For instance, the part where they lay down on the floor was kept. Woong choreographed it and it wasn’t too hard because they decided to focus on vocals.
“Now, Eric will get the high notes. But is there anyone who wants to try them out?”
Asked the vocal coach.
No one spoke up. “Then how about this. I want to hear everyone sing the song’s main parts from the beginning, chorus, high notes, till the end.
Everyone lined up and sang.
-You're moving far away even in my dreams
I can't do anything
Shouting out to try and stop you
But you disappear when I open my eyes-
Eric sounded the most stable. Haru sounded clear and innocent. Then, it was Moonhan’s turn.
Some of the beginning lyrics were not very well sung and unstable but once it hit those lyrics of Verse 2.
-You're moving far away even in my dreams
I can't do anything
Shouting out to try and stop you
But you disappear when I open my eyes
I had to treat you well when you were here
Didn't I know that before
Why is it now that I've lost everything
I learn how precious you were-
Though Han wasn’t the most stable, his emotions especially during verse 2 was expressed very well. The vocal coach and members were surprised at the pain expressed in his voice.
Han looked to see the reactions, there was a small silence then compliments came in.
“Wow, you expressed emotions very well during singing. With more practice, I think you sing songs well. You don’t need high notes to show you can sing well, especially if you can show your emotions in the song!” said the vocal coach. He was happy to find Moonhan.
“Moonhan that was awesome!” said Junghwan
“WOW,” said Ren and Siwoo
‘You have to teach me.” said Woong
Then there was Haru who jumped up to hug Moonhan.
“Damn, you were very good…” He said sadly. Haru was feeling the pain that was shown in his voice and could feel Moonhan’s sadness through the lyrics and the dreams.
“Tch, you were quite good…” Eric said quietly still loud enough for Moonhan to hear.
Moonhan smiled. “I guess I’m good at expressing emotions through my singing. That’s nice,” he said without much emotion but he was feeling happy about it.
They practiced their dance routine a few times before leaving that night.
This routine was repeated with singing and dancing practice and the time came when they had one day left to practice.
