The One Moon Chapter 14
“AHHHH, how can you not know what the Yumenet awards are. They are like the biggest music award show and it’s where most idols who achieved something go. They’re barely any rookie groups who get to perform there. At the least, they have to wait at least 1 year after they debut so for a rookie to perform a 10-minute performance at such a veteran show on their debut day, it’s a first. That’s why it is so important, you understand!” Haru energetically informed.
“Wow, what a big deal.” Moonhan started to nod his head vigorously at his response. Like a kid who just learned something cool and important and agreeing with their role model. It was a funny sight for the other members to see Haru being hyung-like and taking care of someone. Since Haru was usually just hyper all the time. They thought Moonhan would definitely be a good addition to the team and balance their synergy.
“Ok ok, you cute puppies”, said Mr. Seo.
“You guys have to pack up for the survival show, it’s required to live in the show’s dorms for this show. They want to get to know the participants and the bonding between the members and stuff like that. Show your best and good luck.”
“I should also probably mention… the first recording is tomorrow. Good luck and get packing, like now.”
The members each said goodbye and Moonhan who was the last to leave the door got pulled back by Mr. Seo.
“ahh....” Mr. Seo suddenly grabbed his left shoulder.
“Oh, Moonhan, stay back for a little, I need to give you back your personal documents and talk to you about something.”
.
The other members already rushing to the dorm didn’t know Moonhan was left behind.

Mr. Seo invited Moonhan into his office gave him his personal documents and stayed quiet for a little while hesitating to talk but then asked a question
“I know a little more about your past now. Are you ready to open it up on the show? They are going to ask questions about it you know. I also heard that you lied to Junghwan that your family passed away.”
Moonhan replied back, “It’s not exactly a lie, I was abandoned so them being dead really means nothing to me since they are basically dead to me except a few memories I remember with my dad. I have nothing I want involved with my real family or my foster family.”
“If I have to talk about my past on tv, I would gladly tell them I’m an orphan. I don’t want to mention my dad since I’m still having trouble with my memories of them but I’ve learned to accept it a little along with the orphanage that put me to work as a kid and unjustly scolded me.”
“I’d have to reveal this to the members one way or another. Though, the show is not how I’d expected it to be revealed…”
“Then, why don’t you tell them your past in advance so they aren’t too surprised when you reveal it on the show?” Said Mr. Seo
“I guess so, I guess that is better than revealing it in to them on the show”
“Ok, my order for you today is to pack up and inform them of your past, how's that?”
“The members can help at times when you have a panic attack too, just in case it happens.”
Moonhan agreed with the idea. He started to gain a deeper bond with his members and wanted to get closer. He didn’t want to ruin their friendship. His school and personal life were finally more vivid and lively. He didn’t want to ruin it and he’d do anything to not ruin it.
Just as Mr. Seo was about to excuse him. He suddenly got up and stopped Moonhan from leaving.
“Wait, how are your… wounds…”
Moonhan just smiled, it seemed real but there was a fakeness in it. As he smiled, he put up a thumbs up and said it was okay. Then he just turned back towards the door and said goodbye to him.
Mr. Seo seeing that Moonhan didn’t want to talk about it and that smile… That smile seemed so sad. He couldn’t question Moonhan about it anymore. He just hoped there was nothing on the show where his wounds would peak out from his clothes…
While this was happening, someone was outside the door. It wasn’t fully closed. He came by to check up on where Moonhan was and accidentally heard the conversation starting from when Moonhan talked about how his family abandoned him.
It was Siwoo. Siwoo who saw the bitter smile behind the plant he hid behind when Moonhan was leaving felt that he heard something he shouldn’t have. But he was glad that Moonhan was going to talk to the members about his past before the show started. It was best for that to ensure incidents could be resolved in the best way possible.
He then decided to go pick up some red bean jelly for himself and for Moonhan to use as an excuse to tell about why he took so long to get back to the dorms.
